I made up my mind that I was going to call to ask him about that.
He was busy discussing with Ethan, I had to even join in their discussions.
My uncle went inside leaving Ethan and I alone in the living room.
"Erica,you are such a beautiful woman," Ethan said sipping his drink.
"Thank you Ethan, and you look cute too, I added.
"You think so?" He asked
Ethan and I talked for very long time, while my uncle was inside.
Luckily for me Ethan went home.
"So uncle, I want to ask you,if you know anything concerning the mixing find at the company," I asked him.
For some seconds he could not get to answer me, I guess he had some drinks in his mouth or so.
"Hey Uncle, I just if you knew about the missing money at the company," I repeated.
"Is there money that is missing in the company," he asked me.
"Yes uncle, I was at the company today and I went through the records and I discovered about some missing funds without a trace," I replied.
"Well, I do not know about any missing money in the company," he added.
"But uncle, how can you say you do not know about the missing money, while you have being the one in charge since I left for my studies in Maimi," he asked.
"Erica,I just told you that I do not know about the missing money, but I would have to look into it and find what the issue is," he said.
"I also found out that you changed the company's accountant and this new person that you employed has no traceable financial records.
"Oh common my darling Erica you do not have to botgert yourself or worry your little head about all this, I will take care of it all," he said. Holding me by the hand.
ANTHONIO'S POV
I was not happy with the fact that Erica have gone to the company already to make enquiry about the missing money and company funds.
I had to try my best to convince that I still have everything under my control. I took my phone to dial Ethan's number.
"Hello Ethan," I said into the phone.
"Hey, Anthonio, is there something you would want to do? He asked me.
"How far have you gone in convincing Erica to date you,have you asked her out already, and have she fallen for you?" I asked him so many questions at the same time.
"Hey Anthonio, you have to calm down, we need to take things slow okay," he told me.
"No,there is no time to take things slow, you would have to be very fast about the plans,else we loose everything, Erica is begining to suspect us, she has gone to the company already to check the financial records,so you have to make her love you, so that you can starting dating and hasten the wedding process," I explained to him.
I did not like the fact that Ethan is taking much time to do pwhat I want him.
ERICA'S POV
My uncle could not give a vivid a explanation of what actually happened to the company funds, but I trust him a anyways so I believe whatever it is will be sorted out accordingly by him.
I was scrolling through my phone when I came across a message from Ethan he has been asking to see me
"Can you please do me this one favour of going out with me," Ethan kept asking me.
"Ok fine, you won this time, I would go out with you, what time and venue," I asked him.
"Thank you so much Erica, time will be 6: pm tomorrow, I hope the time is okay by you,I will take you to one of the best restaurants in the city, thanks again," Ethan said.
He seems so excited that I granted his wish to go out on a date with me.
I began preparing for the date as much as I could, even though I do not have anything whatsoever to prove to Ethan,I would still like to look my best.
I went to my closet to get something that would good for the date. I searched through my numerous number of clothes and settled for a blue tracksuit, it was among the clothes I had bought at the mall while I was returning from Maimi. I have not worn it for tbe first, In settled on the shoe to wear, I choose a red heel to compliment the red bag I would be going with.
At 5: pm, I went to had my bath and had my dress worn, I applied a slight makeup ony face and styled my hair. I looked myself in the mirror and realized how amazing I looked.
I called Ethan to tell him that I was set for the date. Few minutes later I got a text from him, he had sent me the address to the restaurant he wants to meet.
"How ungentlemanly of him, does he expect me to drive down there myself," I said to myself.
I waited for some minutes to decide what I really wanted, it would not sound well of me to turn down this date, ekst I would have done that, how ciykdt Ethan text the address of the restaurant to me ragther than coming over to take me there himself or send a car to bring me to the place. He is is different from my ex Albert. One minute Ethan would act like he can not live without me, and then the next minute he is acting unromantic.
I shrugged the feelings off me, that could be his shortcomings anyway, so I set out to go meet him at the restaurant for the date. I wanted to drive myself or the venue but then I decided against that and called on my driver to come take me there.
I showed the address to my driver to confirm where we will be headed and when he confirmed he knew the place ,we set out to go.
On our way to the restaurant, I thought of what could make Ethan so much wanted to go out on date with me, what does he want to discuss with me, I like the fact that he is here to keep me company and for the fact that I would have the opportunity of going out more often to chill, I still does not want to have things to do with someone and at the end it does not turn out well.
Lost in my thoughts I did not even realize that he have gotten to the venue already.
