The expression on the faces of the board members and the workers were filled with expectations of what I probably had in mind to tell them.
I went ahead with the meeting and instructed them to report to meeting directly if there is anything to report.
"I have a question sir". One of the workers said.
"What about Sir Tyler, is he no longer the owner of the company" He asked.
I was angry with his questions but I decided to let it go.
"Your boss, is in the hospital battling with his life, so he will be available to attend to some of the necessary things, that was the reason I told you to report me directly" I told him.
"Mr Anthonio, but this company is just owned by your brother alone, it is not an extended family kind of business, I would suggest you let his adaughter be in charge". He said
I was really angry with what he just said.but I maintained my cool.
After few minutes we were done with the meeting, they left to their respective homes while the workers went to work.
I drive back home, on my way back to the house, I thought about the meeting I had just had with the staff, I concluded that who ever prkve sturborn nor acts like a stumbling block will be shown the way out.
ERICA'S POV
I eager to know what was discussed y the meeting, I took my hand bag and went to the hospital. After dressing up, I called Fabian to come take me to the hospital..
I guess Beatrice must have told him that I had caught them making love to each other and I already known they were a couple , he looked shy but that is not any of my business. I need to make sure I keep them in check, so that things were done appropriately. Perhaps they were begining to lose focus and mind what they were brought here since my mum is no longer available to check mate them.
"Good day ma'am, where are we head to ma'am" Fabian greeted me..
"Take to the hospital let me go and see my dad" I instructed him.
I was in the way to the hospital when I got a call from dovy Albert.
"Hello Pretty' He said.
"Hi doctor Albert, how are doing? I replied.
"Up to this time, you still call me doctor Albert, I already told you that you are free to address me with my first name," He said trying to correct me.
"I am sorry Albert, I think I am already used to calling you doctor, but I promise I will make amends" He promised him.
"So what is your plan for the day" He asked me.
"I am already heading to the hospital when, I get to see my dad,from then I would know what else to do more where to go to " I told him.
"That is okay then, I will be in the office waiting for you" he concluded.
We drove silently to the hospital, I remembered I did not take my lunch at home before leaving the house, I was feeling seriousu hungry, I wa creaving for a food from the restaurant doctor. Albert and I had visited earlier. At least I remembered the name of the restaurant even though I could not remember or can I direct Fabian correctly on how to get there.
Knowing the name of the restaurant, I told Fabian and turned on my GPS, as soon as I turned on the GPS iny phone, I quickly typed in the name of the restaurant, everything including where it was located and how to get there popped up.
I gave the directions to Fabian and before twenty minutes we go to tbe restaurant. From the look of things ,it was obvious the restaurant has equally being discovered by other people as well, as we could see large number of people going in and coming out from the restaurant.
From the outside of the restaurant, the aroma of the delicious dishes could be perceived.
I told Fabian to wait for me in the car, while I go inside to get us some packs of food.
I went in to the restaurant, getting served took some minutes because all the waiters were attending to kne customer or another. The rest was filled with people. Mostly workers, I guess, because most of the were still putting on their work dress.
Luckily it got to my turn to be served, I told the waiter what I wabtedy, and requested for three packs of food respectively. After I got my order I gave them ,my debit card to pay for my orders. I even I was done, I went back to the car and we drove straight to the hospital.
I got the hospital and met some of the nurses, they greeted me with much familariry, they were begining to recognize me since they now see me more often at the hospital.
I went to my dad's ward and luckily he was awake, I met of the nurses taking care of him. Immediately he saw me, his brightened up with smiles, I smiled back at him, the smile on his face warmt my heart.
I sat down beside him for some minutes, held his hand in mine , I asked the nurse about his condition and she told me he is being responsive to the drugs given to him.
I asked her when it will be possible for me to take him home,but she said that can only be answered by the doctor.
Speaking of the doctor, I asked her where doctor Albert was at the moment, and she informed me he is the office.
"Hey Dad I will be right back okay, let me go see the doctor." I said to him before leaving for doctor's office.
I got into doctor Albert office and did not meet, I asked his confidential secetary sitting close to his office where had been, she told me he went to attend to one of the patients and will be back in few minutes time.
She offered a sit for me with which I sat down to wait for him.
I waited for about twenty minutes later and when I looked up, I saw doctor Albert coming in his usual cute and sweet way.
When he got to where his secretary was he left some instructions to her, I would not know what it is but she left her desk to go attend to whatever doctor Albert might have instructed her to do.
When he noticed my presence,he giggled in excitement, I did not know what made him giggle in that manner, perhay he has being looking forward to seeing all this while.
"Hey Erica, I have being expecting to see you, what took your time tbe whole day". He asked me.
"Hey doc..sorry Albert, I did not get to wake up on time, I had woken up very late today, and moreso I had wasted timer at the restaurant where I went to get lunch" I told him.
"Oh, that is okay" He replied
I brought out the packs of food I had come with and handed a pack of it to him.
"Here you go Albert, I got you some lunch, and please do not tell me you have eaten,if you have had something to eat then I am sorry, you will still have to eat this because I do not accept no as an answer from anyone" I joked with smiles on my face.
"Wow, that is so thoughtful of you Erica, attending to my patients had totally made me forgot about lunch today, taking care of them made my tummy filled I could not even remember I have not had lunch" He said felling delighted.
"Well let's just say ,I read people minds,and I get to know what they need" I said, and we both laughed.
"Thank you so much for this" he said taking the pack of food from me.
We both started to eat our food, the taste of the food was delicious, he also got to commend tbe food.
"Hey Erica , eberey did you get this food from, I bet it is heavenly made right" He asked me.
"What really, is there anything like heavenly made meals".. I chukled.
"Of course yes, this food in particular here seems to be one, the taste is so nice" he said.
"Well, I got it from the restaurant we visited on our date" I told him.
"Oh really?" He asked me .
"Yes of course,I told you that after tasting their food that day, I am going to make that place my permanent abode." He replied.
"Then you have to pay me for showing that place to you" He said and laughed.
When we were done with our meal, he called the janitor to come clean up the used packs.
"Erica I want to ask if you have considered my proposal"? He asked looking into my eyes..
