Chapter 40

I got back from lectures and flipped my bag on tbe bed and laid down to have a rest. Most of the lectures we somethings I have already heard of and learnt,but this one seems a little more difficult but hopefully with time I get to adjust and I would really need to adjust fast before the upcoming exams so that I will pass and have good grades.
I got a call and when I checked, it was my uncle that was calling. I have not even spoken with him since I got here, so it was thoughtful of him to call me and seek to know how I am doing so I answered his call.
"Hello Uncle,good day," I greted him.
"Hello Erica, how are you doing today, and how is your s hope," he asked me.
"I am fine uncle,and everything is going fine and stiil getting to learn the way things are done here, butvIbsm gradually beginning to fit into the environment, so yes everything is going on fine," he replied.
"That is very good hear,I actually called to check up on you and to know who things are with you over there," he added.
"Thank you Uncle, I am glad you reached out to me, that reminds me unlce ,I had wanted to ask you about something," I told hik.
I decided I was going use this opportunity to ask my uncle about vthe information I have received today since we are speaking on day, but I did not want him to feel bad about it because I know he is trying his best to take care of the things while I am here studying.
"So what is it you would like to ask me," he asked, bringing me back from my thoughts.
"Yes uncle, I would like to know why you sacked some of the staff at the company?" I asked him.
I guess he was expecting me to ask him that question,or perhaps he was looking for the right answers to give me because he did not answer me immediately.
"Uncle are you there?" I asked him.
"Yes,I am here," he answered.
"So uncle I asked why you sacked some of the staff working for us?"
"I sacked them because they were incompetent, they were lazy and not yeilding any results for the company," he said.
"Oh really, but how comethey have been working for my dad for a long time now and my dad did not take notice of their incompetence and laziness?" I asked him. Surprised at his findings.
"My dear Erica, people can change alot, maybe they have being pretending all along," he answered.
"Oh,okay then, did you get a replacement for the number of people you sacked?" I asked him.
"Yes,I did get replacement for them all and these ones I employed right now are very hard-working ," he explained.
"Okay then if you say so," I said to him.
"Hey, I want to ask, how did you know I sacked some workers, I mean who gave the news to you," he asked.
"Uncle, my boyfriend Albert told me," I said.
ANTHONIO'S POV
"What! That son of a bitch, how could he have told Erica, even though Erica is not here in the country he still finds way to tell her every of my activities? I would really have to do something about this guy." I said to myself aloud.
I would have to stop him before he ruins everything for me with this attitude of his.
It is time for me to put all my plans into action before Erica will return from the Miami.
I set out to Albert's office to warn him for the last time.I have already planned setting him up so that Erica can ditch him. Unfortunately for me when I got to his office his secretary informed me that he was not around.
I turned back and left determined to work my plans and deal with him.
I put a call to one of my hit men to help me arrange for tech expert that would help me work out on how to best to deal with Albert. My hit man sent a phone number for me to call and immediately I called the number.
"Hello, this is Anthonio Woods, I would love us to meet, I would text the address to you," I spoke it into the phone.
I drove to a restaurant, it was in an outskirts of the city. Where I would met with the tech expert.
He was already there waiting for me when I got to the restaurant.
"Hey man, I was there the that called you earlier", I greeted him extending my hand.
"Okay, so how do I help you?" he asked me.
"I need you to do a job for me, and I would repay you handsomely of the job is well done," I told.
"Okay, what would you want me to do," he asked.
"I want you to help me change the voice recording of someone,there is someone I want to deal with, so I would say something and I want you to turn the voice to the voice of the guy I want to deal with.
"If I get it correctly, you want me to manipulate the voice and make it looo it is your victim that said it," he asked me.
"Yes,that is it", I replied.
"That is not a problem it is an easy job, but I would be charging you for that.
"Look man, money is not the problem, just dontbe job perfectly and I will reward you.
"Okay, I would need you to send me the words and a voice sample of the person you want to deal with," he added.
I concluded the discussion with him and it was sealed, I made a part payment to him, while we both agree the I would remit the remaining balance as soon as the job is well carried out. When we were through and agreement reached, I head to the house.
As soon as I got to the house, I checked through my phone to see if I heard Albert's phone number but unfortunately I have deleted his phone number from my phone.
I quickly searched through the documents we got when my brother Tyler was still admitted to his hospital and I found his phone number there.
I dialed it in a bait to get him to talk so that I could have a record of his voice. Luckily for me he answered the phone and spoke. And immediately I got his voice recorded and saved to my phone.
I quickly put a call to the tech guy and he answered immediately. He asked me to come to a particular place where we could both meet , so I set out at once.
When I got there, I sent him the voice document to his drive.
I equally gave him the wordings.
'I am only in love with Erica just because of her dad's money, so that I can get hold of the money and go marry who I want, I do not love Erica I am just want her money.'
The tech guy worked for few minutes and came up with something great.
He played the voice note that he worked on and the wordings came out exactly in Albert's voice.
I was so impressed with his job that I rewarded him handsomely.
I was so much glad, I drove back to the house in happiness, I played the voice recording over and over again and it sounded exactly like that of Albert's voice.
As soon as I got home, I quickly went to the bar in house and served myself to a glass of red wine, "this calls for celebration," I said to myself.
I brought out my phone and sent the voice recording to Erica immediately.
I relaxed on the couch and sipped my drink slowly with smiles on my face knowing fully well the tension that it would cause as soon as Erica gets to listen to it.
I already imagined how sad and heartbroken Erica would be as soon as she come across the voice message.
Albert thinks he can destroy everything I have worked so hard for over years with his love for Erica no I would not allow that.
I made my next plan which is contacting Ethan the guy I have arranged to make Erica fall in love for, so that they can get married as to be able to get the wealth from Erica and after a while gets divorced and Erica's properties would finally being taken a way from her.
I became so happy danced around the living room filled so much joy,I laughed so loudly.
As soon as Erica gets to listen to the voice recording all hell would let loose and things would begin to fall apart between Erica and that son of a bitch 'Albert'.
