Chapter 53

The moment the attorney asked me what I wanted to do about the case with my husband I became confused, I know that whatever decision I take right now, would affect both my reputation and that of the company but I caredless. I needed to get everything that my uncle has taken away from me. Including my parents, he killed my parents.
"Attorney, I want my uncle and Ethan arrested and charged to court, they hurt me, not just that, they both consipired to steal my company funds, is that not enough reason to send them to jail,or is that not enough crime?" I asked him.
"Yes Erica, it is enough reason but you need a concrete evidence to present to the court," he explained.
I could not find any evidence I could use against them both. I thought of what I could use, after concluding with my attorney, he told me to go get an evidence I can use against him, as I would not be able to present a case or claim to judge without any evidence, I told him that I would go search for an evidence and bring it to him, I left his office.
I went into my car,and as we went back home, my mind continued to think of any evidence I could use against Ethan and my uncle. Getting evidence would not be so easy because the day I over heard the conversation between my uncle and Ethan, the emotional breakdown I had could not allow me get any evidence from it, and that particular day,my head was blank.
I concluded that I would invite Ethan to meet him, if only I could ask him some questions that could make him speak up, I would record him saying it, then I would present it to my attorney. It is going to be a tough decision to make and a tough task to carry out because I would not want to set my eyes on Ethan talk more of speaking with him. I made up my mind not to ever talk to him again. I did not want to have anything to do with Ethan, the betrayal from him has caused an emotional trauma to me.
I searched through my phone for Ethan's phone number, but I realized that I had deleted it the very day that I sent him out of the house. I could not have him in my phone anymore,I deleted everything about him from my phone,I tried look for a way that I could get his phone number and luckily for me, I asked one of my staff if she still has Ethan's phone number and she replied in the affirmative.
I got the phone number from my staff and called Ethan immediately.
"Hello Erica, I am glad that you called," he said as he answered his phone.
"Ethan, I would like to see you", I said immediately.
I did not want to start having any discussion with him, I just told him to come to thehouse, because I was obviously still angry with him.I just needed the necessary evidence that I would to charge him to the court. O needed to make him talk.
I got a text from Ethan that he was outside the house but the satff refused to grant him entrsny to the house, I quickly called one of the staff to akkoy him come in, I needed to do this for myself, I needed to do it for my company and to grant my dad the justice that he deserves.
"Hi Ethan,"I greeted him.
"Erica,I am sorry for everything that happened between us, you just have to forgive" he pleaded.
"You mean, you had to pretend to love me because you wanted to still my wealth?" I asked him.
"Yes, it was all your uncle's suggestion, I think I am a fool for allowing myself to believe him," I said.
"No Ethan,you were led by your own greed to steal my money that was why you allowed yourself to be used by my uncle," I told him.
"Your uncle is such an evil man, he had everything all planned out from the very beginning, he was the one that manuoverd the car breaks of your parent's car, he ploted against Albert with the voice recording he sent to you while you were in Miami, and he equally employed those staffs at the company so that they can help him steal from the company with ease, that was his main reason for sacking the old staff and for everything penny that went missing from the company, your uncle is very much aware of it," he explained.
"You mean, my uncle had something to do with my dad's and mum's accidents?" I asked him.
"Yes, I am so regret everything, I regret ever allowing myself to join in his evil deeds," he told me.
I could not had the tears that already gathered up I my eyes, I could never have believed that my uncle actually manuoverd the break of my dad's car, so he had actually planned for my dad to die so that he could take away everything from us.
I was already angry with all the revelation I got from Ethan, I could no longer take it all, it was too much for my heart go bear.
"Ethan, we would see in court," I told him and went back into the house.
"Hey Erica, I thought you called for us to make up and to resolve our differences," he said. Trying to stop me.
"In your dreams Ethan," I Said to him, with a clinched teeth.
I went in immediately and instructed the staff to throw him out of the house, I have more than enough evidence to get him detained and charged to court.
I played the recorded evidence I got from him, I had placed a small camera at a strategic corner of the place where we were talking, I played the recording to listen to what they both have planned.
I cried with so much hurt in my heart. Ethan had wanted the money my uncle was ready to give him, but along the line he fell in love with me.
I had wanted to forgive Ethan and let go as he was victim of circumstance was used by my uncle, but he had every right to say 'No', yet he accepted to plot against me.
"No, they would pay for everything, I must get Justice for my parents" I said to myself.
ANTHONIO'S POV
Ethan had let everything that I had worked for over the years to become a waste of time, because the could not control vhis heart, he allowed himself to genuinely fall in love with Erica. I do not know my fate now that Erica is aware of the whole thing that is happening, I would not know if she would be able to forgive me.
Ethan has ruined everything for me, but I promise myself that if I go down, he goes down with me. I went downstairs to get a drink for myself.
I have tried speaking to Erica, but she refused to speak with me.
I think I would have to take some of my things and leave the city for while, so that I can allow things to cool off before I return.
I thought I had everything all planned out, I never knew that Ethan would come to ruin it all.
