ANTHONIO'S POV
Hearing that Erica has stated going out on date with the doctor made me sick worry, I did not want Erica to find love really, soon I wanted her to go school abroad while I take charge of the company till whenever she returns. I wanted to have a charge and control of over the money in the company, if she finds love right now and eventually gets married, it means the company will be handed over to her pretty soon and I will not be able to get pretty much from the money. Tyler my brother has so much wealth, I would love to claim it all, perhaps the doctor already got to know the kind of health Tyler would be leaving behind for Erica if he eventually does, that could be the reason he is acting to be in love with Erica, so that he could also be part of the huge amount of money. But then,I might be wrong, he could actually be truely in love with her, since Erica is such a beautiful woman and with good character, it will not hard for any man to love her truely.
I have to do something bto stop this relationship that is about to take place between the doctor and Erica, but I would not know how to do achieve that smoothly without looking suspicious, I did not want anyone to suspect of my actions so I have to act in tbe best way I could and find out what actually is going on between the doctor and my niece Erica.
I took out my phone and dialled one of secret investigator, I told him to help me investigate doctor Albert and give me informations about him.
I had earlier scheduled for? a meeting for the board of the company and staff. I had not not informed Erica of the meeting as I think there will be no pointing in telling her. I went downstairs to get myself a glass Brandy to clear my head's of the worries and thought it is filled with.
As poured some Brandy to the glass for myself,I drank it, different thoughts ran through my mind. After taking my drink I retired to sleep.
ERICA POV
I know my uncle might be looking out for me, but I know I can take if myself, I am no longer the little girl they use to know, since the criteria to hand over the company to me is to get married first, I should be well to also look for a man then.
After I could not wrap my head as the why my uncle is not happy because I going out with the doctor, I went to sleep, concluding my head that ,I will continue whatever it is I am having with doctor Albert as long as it does not stop my dreams nor affect plans of going to study.
The next morning, I was woken up by the knock on my door, I did not realize I did not turn my alarm clock on tbe previous night, I check the time it was already 10:00 am,
'Omg, how could I have slept this long,'?
I was so tired from the events of the previous day, that I slept so long, I was even tired to go get the door. I made to go back to sleep when I heard the knock once again.
"Who is there" I asked from my sleepy state.
"It is me ma'am."
I heard Beatrice's voice and I reluctantly went to open the door for her.
"Good morning, I hope you had a very good rest"
"Good morning Beatrice , I had a good night rest" I answered her.
"I came to check up on you and inform you of your schedule for today,"? she said.
"That is okay, go ahead" I told her
"Ma'am,I am sorry I did not get to know when you returned night" she said with guilt in her eyes.
"Yes, that is because you were in Fabian's arms when I returned, you both were having a good sex, that you left the whole hours open to go and florick with Fabian" I said to her.
"Um,um, I am sorry ma'am" she tries to apologize.
"Is that what I am paying for,my mum brought you in here to take care of me, and you do spend time your lover Fabian" I said to her trying? not to sound mean.
"I am sorry ma'am" She apologied.
"Look, I am not saying you should not talk in love with Fabian it anyway else, just make sure you are doing your job here, and do not keep the house open.
" I promise it will not happen again ma'am, I am really sorry". He said.
"That is okay, you are an adult and it is alright to fall in love, it is okay to make love to whoever you to, just make sure you are not neglecting your job that is all" I explained to her seek how remorseful she is.
"Thank you ma'am" She said.
"That is okay, so tell me the schedule for the day" I told her.
" You will be have a board meeting with the company's board and staff" she informed.
"Oh really?" I asked her surprised.
I have never being in any of my dad's board and staff for , this will be my first time and I? already feeling nevous, I had only being to their numerous cocktail parties organised once a while, since it was a family business my dad usually go with mum and I, I know my dad company is a huge one with so much number of staff. I have never followed my dad to the meetings, this is the first time my dad will be absent in his staff meeting.
It is obvious that responsibility is gradually falling to my shoulder. The company board and staffs are in large number, I have being to my dad's office and there is quite a number of work done there. My dad had promised to always bring me to the company when I am done with my PHD so that I could learning how things were done, so that when he finally retired, it will not be a difficult task for me to handle the job and affairs of the company, but then life happens and things has taken different way altogether.
"How did you get to know there will be a staff and board meeting?" I asked her.
"Your dad's secetary called by the house yesterday while you were not around, she asked me to tell you about it " She said.
"Ok thank you for the information, did she by any chance drop her personal cell phone number, her house address or an email address, something I can reach her with.
"Yes ma'am, she dropped her cell phone number, let me quickly get it" She left to go get the phone number of my dad's secetary.
How thoughtful of them to organize a meeting even in my dad absence, j showed they are really hard and also, happy it showed they want the company to move forward even my dad was not around.
Few minutes later Beatrice came back to the room with a piece of paper.
"Here is the phone number ma'am" she said handing the piece of paper to me.
"Thank you" I muttered taking the piece of paper from her….
I took my phone and dialed the phone number contained in the paper.
"Hello",I said in to the phone.
"Hi, who I am unto and how may I help you" I heard a ladies voice from the other end of the phone.
"I am sorry to bother you,this Erica Tyler. Your boss'daughter.
"Oh ma'am, I am really sorry, I? did not know it is you" she apologized.
"That is okay,how are you doing today" I asked her wheb she became calm.
"I am doing great ma'am" she answered.
"I was informed by my staff that you dropped by the house yesterday while I was away" I said.
"That's is true ma'am" she affirmed.
"And I was told a meeting of the staff board was scheduled to hold today" I inquired from her.
"Yes ma'am, a meeting was scheduled today, I came to the house to inform you but I was informed you were not at house" She explained.
"Yes, I was not in the house when you came,may I know who organised the meeting and the agenda for the meeting please"? I inquired from her
"Well, ma'am, the meeting was scheduled by your uncle Mr Anthonio,and as for the agenda for the meeting , I would not know, except you inquire from your uncle or better still we all get to find out at the meeting today." She said.
"Ok thanks" I thanked her and dropped the call.
How come my uncle scheduled a meet? for today without informing me, even though I spoke with him last night ? I thought to myself.
