31: Tristan Spectra

**Tristan**

"Dinner sounds good and all, but I'm afraid we have one problem." I was now wrapped up in Lucien’s sheets and propped up by my forearms as I watched him smoke a cigar.

He exhaled, sending smoke clouding the room and then raised a brow. "And what's that, Love?"

"I don't have any clothing to wear. I certainly cannot wear what I was wearing to work, and my underwear is ruined thanks to you. I need to go home and change."

Lucien got up off of his bed and shook his head before opening one of his wardrobes and stepping aside, allowing me to take a peek. I was stunned as I gazed upon shelves filled with clothing items which, I could only assume were meant for me.

"When did you do this? H-how did you know my size?" I asked, dumbfounded.

"During the week. And as to how I knew your size, I used your dress size as a reference. They should fit perfectly though, I do know my way around your body quite well, after all." He said, rather suggestively. "Now go on and get dressed. I'll take a shower once you're done... unless you'd like me to join you, Love?"

I grabbed a pillow and threw it at him, but he dodged it perfectly. "No thank you. I think you've seen me naked for long enough."

"Nonsense. I could stare at you naked all day and not once get bored..." He said, wiggling his eyebrows.

I scoffed and got up off of the bed with his sheets still wrapped around me. "That's it! I'm burning you with your cigar!" I yelled.

Lucien chuckled and right as I was about to run into him and snatch his cigar, he grabbed at my hands, turned us around and pinned me to the cupboard. The cigar still hung in his mouth for a moment longer before he let go of one of my hands, removed it from his mouth and then placed it on the wardrobe.

"When will you learn, Tristan," he used his free hand to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear and my heart nearly stopped the moment he leaned in, hovering his lips over mine, "I'm the master at all these little games you like to play..."

And just as he was about to place his lips against mine, he pulled away and gave me a wink before exiting the room. "Don't take too long, Love!" He yelled.

I shook my head and sighed. He really did know the best ways to rile me up.

I chose to wear a beautiful pair of black pleated trousers, a white backless blouse which was tied at the back with a bow, and I paired it with an open front black blazer. I had to say, Lucien's taste was impeccable, and I looked forward to wearing more of the clothes he'd bought for me.

"Are you ready, Love?" Lucien asked as he exited one of the guest rooms. He looked rather dashing in a pair of navy-blue trousers, a blue blazer and underneath it a button-up shirt without a tie. Admittedly, I caught myself stealing glances at him every so often.

"So, are we meeting them at their home or are we meeting them at the restaurant?" I asked as we got into his car.

"We'll meet them there. They'll be arriving there straight from work."

"Speaking of, do you think Damon will be absolutely livid that I skipped work today?" I asked, not because I was frightened of the intolerable man, but rather because I had my job on the line- as always.

"I’ve told you before, you really should stop worrying. If he was angry, we wouldn't be going to dinner. Besides, all your work was done anyway."

I nodded in understanding and then began looking out of the window, preparing myself for what was to come.

"So, what should I expect regarding Damon's mate?" I asked with my eyes still fixed on the blurry view outside the car.

"She's a real angel. You'll get along well with her."

I scoffed and then uttered, "I hardly believe that. I don't play nice with others, remember?"

Lucien chuckled and shook his head, "You play nice with me."

I stayed quiet after he said that, not wanting my mouth to get me into any trouble. I knew Lucien's games, and the only way to win them was to refrain from playing them in the first place.

The restaurant was quite fancy, and once we entered, we were greeted by the dashing Maître d'.

"Good evening sir, madam, do you have a reservation?" He asked.

Lucien smiled and then nodded, "We do, yes. Reservation for Miss Spectra."

The moment that surname left his lips, I gasped and froze.

Lucien turned around and gazed at me, concerned before asking, "Are you alright Tristan?"

"Did you just say... Spectra?" I asked.

Lucien nodded and I paled. It couldn't be... could it? No, it was not possible. This was probably all just some giant coincidence. There was no way my life was so prone to miracles as this. And so, I shrugged and motioned for us to go. Lucien hesitated a moment, but after some monotonous reassurance, and a little aggression, he nodded, and we both began to follow the Maître d'.

He led us towards the upstairs secluded area where Damon and his mate sat at one of the large, corner tables. Although I could see Damon's strangely jovial face, I couldn't see his mate's as she had her back turned towards us. It was only when we neared them, and Lucien greeted that she finally turned around. And as I gazed at her face, the entire world froze completely. She seemed to have the same reaction, as her smile fell from her face immediately and her piercing blue eyes gazed up at mine in astonishment. For a moment, we just gazed at each other in silence, in fear that either one of us would disappear if either were to speak.

"Tristan?" Lucien called out as he tugged on my hand, but I let my hand fall from his grasp and remained in my fixed spot.

"I-it can't be..." Jasmine uttered out in astonishment, breaking the silence between the both of us. "Tristan?" As she said this, tears began to pour down her face.

"J-Jas?" I mumbled, with tears now welling up in my eyes.

And within a second, I was in her arms, feeling the familiarity of her warmth. It was absolutely mind-blowing, the fact that I was in the arms of my sister I had lived my whole life thinking was dead.

"...what the fuck is going on here?" Damon asked as he stood next to Lucien. The both of them stared at us rather dumbfounded.

Jasmine pulled away, but as soon as she did, she interlinked our arms tightly.

"Damon, Lucien, I'd like to introduce you to my little sister, Tristan Spectra."
