NOT REALLY THE FINAL PLOTTING BUT WE'RE GETTING THERE
NOTE: A DAY TO THE ANNIVERSARY REUNION
GOAL: REMAINS THE SAME, WHY WOULD IT CHANGE?
"Stop looking over my shoulder!" The typist yelled at the boy that was hellbent on finding out what she was doing. It seemed like he wasn't paying her much attention.
"Mumm!!!!"
AMBER'S POV
I groaned slightly as I heard Maddie scream from downstairs. Fridays were the most days in the week for me cause the kids would usually leave for school and be back like two hours later. I was exaggerating but it didn't matter, they spent so little time at school on Fridays and I had to deal with their nonsense the rest of the day.
"Mummmmmmm!!!" Maddie yelled again and I was tempted to cover my ears with a pillow but I couldn't. I was the mum after all, I had to go take care of the kids. Oh, how I missed my mum but I couldn't go to her, she had disowned me when she found out I was pregnant 10 years ago.
"Mum! I've been calling for you for over 10 minutes now" Maddie stumbled into my room with a huge frown on her face. Whoever had been disturbing her was getting on her nerves, badly. I sighed as I turned to face my 10 year old angel.
"Madison Swift, what is the matter?" I absolutely detested Fridays for real. Maddie didn't look like she was in the mood to sympathize with me, she just wanted whoever was disturbing her to leave her alone.
"Daniel is the matter. He's been looking at my diary" she blurted out and honestly I was surprised,
"You have a diary? Maddie, you're just 10 years old" she gave a huge sigh and with all seriousness said,
"You'd understand why if you had two brothers that constantly got on your nerves" I was both surprised and amused at the same time.
"I thought you loved your brothers, you're tired of dealing with them?" Maddie wasn't really in the mood so I decided to stop teasing her and followed her downstairs to yell at her brothers to leave her alone.
Mel had left with the kids earlier so the house was a little bit quiet but oddly lonely for me. We had both spent the rest of yesterday, amending the uniform and surprisingly, Mel knew her way around needles and threads and about two hours later, the uniform fit like a second skin.
Maddie had congratulated me when I did a little cheer for her with the uniform on afterwards. It was surprising that I still knew how to cheer, it had been a decade since the last time I had attempted anything like that but I was sure the students were going to request a one last time performance of the Oxford Oaks cheer squad and I had to get in shape enough to be able to put on a good show.
"What would you be wearing, mum?" Danny walked into my room with my laptop tucked under his arm, again. I gave him a questioning look and he smiled but repeated his question again,
"Have you decided on what to wear to the reunion, it's tomorrow you know" of course, I knew. I was dreading it so much it seemed like I was anticipating it. I wouldn't deny that i was looking forward to meeting my friends that mostly all left Los Angeles after graduation.
"Aunt Mel would be choosing my dress, she'll be here soon" i informed my son who was genuinely worried about me. Frankie on the other hand, had told me to not dress slappy since I was going to be in the same room with Jay Harley.
As I waited impatiently for Mel, I couldn't stop thinking about what she had disclosed to me the previous day. The news she had given me about Jay's feelings had aroused conflicting thoughts in my head and it was highly getting on my nerves.
Didn't even know why I was bothered about it, I kept on wondering if he left without saying anything to me because he thought I didn't like him back. Or if it was because he wanted to kill whatever feelings he may have had for me.
JAY'S POV
Noah was surprised to find me awake as he waltzed into my room heading for the huge curtains. I couldn't get much sleep at night so I was up very early awaiting Noah's arrival.
Daniel had kept me thinking all night with what he said to me the previous day at his house. I had little knowledge about the after party but I wasn't really bothered about it. Parties involved serious drinking and then forgetting about the whole event that happened but Daniel's words kept me up all night, racking my head.
"This is a surprise, pleasant but most definitely a surprise" Noah said as he sat down next to me on the bed. Asides being my butler, Noah was my friend and he had spent enough time with me to be able to detect my moods.
"Did something happen? You look like you haven't slept and that's more alarming than the fact that you're up this early" I couldn't control the smile that spread across my face.
"Talk to me, Jay. Did something happen?" Noah looked worried and I took a deep breath,
"I have had this crush on this girl since forever but then yesterday I found out I might have done something I shouldn't have" Noah nodded and I went on,
"I don't know what exactly I did but I have a very bad feeling about it. I was too drunk that night, Noah"
"This happened 10 years ago?"
"Yes, it happened at our prom after party Daniel and i threw at his uncle's place. That's not the point, Noah. The point of all this is that I might have done something horrible and Amber Swift most probably hates me now"
"Hates you? I think it's more than that" Someone answered from the door of my room and I was surprised to see it was Pauline.
