Chapter 30
Mikayla's POV
Love flowed with affection as I watched Emma try to call Daniel to try her new food. Even though they were young, they had already shared love and happiness with each other. This made me even more convinced that we were on the right track.
As dinner continued, we shared stories and hopes for the future. Every sentence spoken, every laugh shared created threads of coolness in our relationship.
Tonight was an intimate night full of closeness between Rudolf and I. After going through an extraordinary day, the atmosphere of the night felt warm and romantic. The two of us sat facing each other in the living room, our closeness rekindled.
Rudolf hugged me tightly, giving me a sense of comfort and protection. He started kissing my face softly, then slowly moved to my sensitive areas, making me feel a pleasant flow of warmth. Every touch brought back beautiful memories from the past, but this time it felt deeper, more meaningful.
Looking back at the last time we were together at the hotel—it was the time when our love grew rapidly and finally made me pregnant. Now, with our legal status as husband and wife, it feels different. There is a sense of security and more intimacy, as if we are truly one.
I feel very lucky to be Rudolf's wife. Remembering the beautiful moments we had gone through, I realized how wonderful it was to find someone who could fill the empty space in my life. This growing feeling of love and desire only made me more certain that I had made the right decision.
As the night progressed, we became more and more immersed in each other. Rudolf stroked my hair gently, feeling our heartbeats beating in sync, and at that moment I knew that this was what I wanted in life: sincere and supportive love.
The intimacy that began to form made me feel closer to Rudolf. This feeling of love would lead us to a bright future. In his arms, I felt the exchange of energy and affection that made me more certain that we could face every challenge that would come, united as a family.
We would both remember this night as a special night, where our love grew and created a stronger bond in the future.
*
One month later.
I have officially been Rudolf's wife for one month. Happiness flows through my every day, and Rudolf has never left me. In fact, his employees often came to the house if they had work to complete. The atmosphere at home always felt warm, colored by togetherness and the love that grew between us.
That morning, Rudolf approached me with a serious expression. “Mikayla, tomorrow I have a meeting with a client and I have to go to town. Do you want to come?” he asked.
“I don’t think so. I’d rather wait here while looking after the kids,” I answered, trying to make a firm decision. I felt comfortable at home and preferred looking after Emma and Daniel rather than going far away.
Rudolf nodded, understanding my choice. “I understand. Maybe it’s better not to bring the kids on this trip. We can arrange a time another time,” he said, a gentle smile warming the atmosphere.
“I’ll clean up the house and take care of them. Make sure you come back safely,” I said, trying to give positive encouragement.
He reached out and stroked my cheek, as usual, “You are an amazing mother, Mikayla.” His words made me smile. Even though fatigue sometimes strikes in the midst of the daily routine, Rudolf's attention and appreciation make all the hard work feel worth it.
After chatting for a while, I went back to my daily routine—keeping the house clean and finding time to play with the kids. These simple days were my happiness.
I used the time before Rudolf left to prepare everything needed so that he could leave smoothly. Mixing love and care into everything I did, so that every moment we spent together was more meaningful.
When night fell and Rudolf was getting ready to leave, my heart was a little heavy, but I knew that our relationship remained strong despite the distance. “Don’t worry, this wonderful mother will take care of everything here. And I know we can get through everything well,” he said, as if reading my mind.
After saying a warm goodbye, I watched Rudolf leave. Although there was a feeling of longing, I knew that all this was part of our journey together.
A few moments after Rudolf left, I heard a knock on the door. “Wait a minute!” I called, trying to see who was outside. However, when I opened the door, someone I didn’t recognize was standing there. My heart was pounding, feeling uncomfortable with his presence.
Without giving me a chance to ask, the man suddenly entered the house and immediately took Emma from her playing area. When I realized what was happening, the whole world seemed to stop.
“Emma!” I shouted in panic, running after him. “Give me back my child!” However, he was already running very fast, leaving me with no choice to stop him.
I felt my heart beating very fast, and fear clouded my mind. What happened? Why did he take Emma? In a panic, I tried to remember every detail and situation around me, but everything felt chaotic.
As I ran as hard as I could, loud screams pierced the night, hoping someone would hear and help. “Help! My child was kidnapped!” but my screams seemed to disappear into the air. No one answered.
Sweat poured down my forehead as I continued to run, but the perpetrator was getting further away. Sadness and fear enveloped my heart. There was nothing I could do but try my best to chase after him.
Deep in my heart I prayed that Emma would be okay. She was barely two years old, so small and vulnerable. Ugh, despair clouded my mind. I could still see the bright smile on her face, and there was no way I was going to let this person take her away.
