Chapter 88
Mikayla's POV
I nodded, feeling more excited. With newfound confidence, I decided not to let my nervousness take over. Immediately, I took all the notes I had written and brought them with me.
“Alright, get ready for this challenge!” I said to myself, trying to raise my spirits. With Rudolf’s support and my strong determination, I left the house and headed to campus.
When I arrived at campus, the atmosphere felt more lively with many prospective students around me. I saw some of them also looked anxious, but I knew we were all here to pursue our dreams.
After completing the registration for the test, I waited with full expectation.
Not long after, the officer announced that we, prospective students, could enter the room to begin the test. As I stepped inside, my heart beat faster. So much hope and nervousness mixed together.
In the room, we received a written test consisting of quite difficult questions. As soon as I saw the questions, to be honest, I felt a little pressured—especially since I'm not a smart person. However, I remembered all the efforts I had put in and the support from Rudolf, who always believed in me.
Question by question, I tried to understand and started working on them as best I could. Although some questions were beyond my understanding, I tried to stay calm and focused. I recalled all the notes I had studied, trying to organize my thoughts so I could solve each problem.
As a prospective psychology student, I felt inspired, but at the same time a little doubtful. Would I be able to face all these challenges? My heart told me that this was my first step towards something bigger, and even though I felt it was difficult, I knew that this was part of the journey that had to be taken.
The more I answered the questions, the stronger my desire to learn more about psychology. I realized that I wanted to help others, understand their thoughts and emotions, and maybe one day be able to provide support to those who needed it.
I continued to answer the questions as best I could. No matter how difficult it was, I wanted to give my best for myself and my family. This was an opportunity to change my life, and I wasn’t going to give up without a fight.
“Mikayla, you can do it, you can do it!” I whispered to myself, trying to cheer myself up amidst the pressure. As I wrote the answers on the paper, I felt a surge of hope and determination growing stronger.
The wolf inside me whispered, “You can do it.” Hearing his voice made me feel even more excited. At first, I couldn’t believe that I had now become a strong person—a werewolf who could overcome any challenge. Thanks to that encouragement, I felt helped and motivated to keep going.
After 120 minutes that felt so tense, I finally finished all the questions given. A sense of relief washed over me as I collected my answer sheets from the officer. I hoped for the best and prayed that all this effort would not be in vain.
However, when I looked outside the room, I did not see Rudolf. “Where is he?” I thought to myself. Anxiety began to creep into my mind. He should have been waiting and supporting me after I finished this exam.
I decided to look outside the room a little, hoping to see him. Maybe he just left for a moment or was waiting in another area. This worry began to disturb my calm, but I knew I had to stay calm.
Every step I took towards the exit gave me hope that he would be there. Outside, I saw several other students gathered, but I didn’t know where Rudolf was. I felt like a part of me was missing—as if his presence was the balance on this journey.
I decided to wait outside the room for a while. Maybe he wasn’t too far away, and I felt a strong connection between us that made me believe he would return. “He must know how important this day is to me,” I said softly, trying to calm myself down.
While waiting, I remembered all the motivation he had given me and the spirit he had always encouraged me. In every detail of the test I had gone through, I realized how much Rudolf’s support meant to this journey.
If the wolf is there to help me, then Rudolf is my driving force and guide in my steps towards a bright future. Hopefully he will appear soon and celebrate this achievement with me.
I looked at my phone and found a message from Rudolf. He apologized for leaving me suddenly. “There is a sudden meeting at the office, so I have to go to the office immediately,” he wrote. Reading his message, my heart was a little relieved but there was still a feeling of disappointment because he could not accompany me at this important moment.
After thinking for a while, I decided to go to the cafeteria. Maybe I could relax for a while and divert my thoughts. When I arrived at the cafeteria, the atmosphere was lively with several other students who were also buying food and drinks.
I observed those around me who seemed more relaxed. Some of them laughed and shared stories, as if they were not burdened by the exams we had gone through. The anxiety and tension began to subside when I saw this cheerful atmosphere.
I queued up for food and decided to order a healthy salad and a glass of juice. After receiving my order, I looked for a comfortable seat and sat down at a table that could see the outside view.
While enjoying my food, my mind drifted back to the exam process that I had just faced. The difficulties and challenges that had been overcome were indeed not easy, but I felt proud to have fought.
"Yes, I did it," I said softly, smiling to myself. Confidence and enthusiasm began to fill me again.
