Chapter 75

Mikayla's POV
That night, the atmosphere in the cave felt increasingly tense. The werewolves said that the Alpha would be coming soon. Everyone was getting ready to welcome the arrival of the highly respected figure. However, when I saw the many wounds on my body from previous training and battles, I felt pain that enveloped my entire body.
"I don't think I can join the event. It hurts too much," I said, refusing gently.
But Alaric insisted. "You should be among them all, Mikayla. This is your chance to show yourself and be a part of this community. The Alpha only comes once in a while, and everyone is looking forward to this meeting."
“But my whole body hurts. I can’t…” I tried to explain, feeling hopeless. The pain that was coursing through my body made it almost impossible to move properly.
Alaric looked at me seriously. “I understand. The Alpha is someone who is highly respected by all the werewolves of our pack. He is a wise leader and has deep insight into the powers we possess. This is your chance to learn from him. He can help give you a new perspective on your journey.”
Hearing Alaric’s words made me think. The Alpha was someone who could possibly provide answers to many of my questions and help me understand the powers I was going through. If I wasn’t there, maybe something would be missing from me.
“If you were there, you would feel a bigger change. Besides, we don’t want you to feel isolated or left behind. That way, you can be more connected to this community,” he continued, trying to lift my spirits.
There was a feeling of doubt inside me, but also a drive to learn and become stronger. With Alaric’s assurance, I began to think again.
“Okay, if it’s that important, I’ll try my best to go.”
“Good! We’ll find a way to make you feel better before the event starts. Let’s use all the positive power here to help you recover,” he said enthusiastically.
With a little hope, and despite the pain, I tried to get up and walk to the event venue where all the werewolves would gather.
Slowly all the werewolves lined up, waiting for their leader to arrive. The atmosphere inside the cave felt full of anticipation and honor.
So did I, standing there even though I still felt pain in my body.
But the pain seemed to disappear when I looked towards the cave door.
Not long after, the figure I had been waiting for appeared, carrying an undeniable charismatic aura. When the door opened, their Alpha appeared in front of us, and as my gaze fell on the figure, my heart felt like it was beating faster.
“Rudolf…” his name slipped from my lips softly and in disbelief. He stood there—a figure I knew so well. But this time, there was something different. He looked more handsome, stronger, as if he was absorbing all the energy around him.
My eyes couldn’t move away from that sight. Remembering all the hugs and beautiful moments I had with him made me feel mixed feelings; there was longing, there was love, and there was hope.
Not only present as the Alpha of the werewolf society, but also as my husband—Rudolf. He gave a stern look to all the members, but I could see a soft light in his eyes as he passed me.
When he started to speak, his voice sounded deep and full of authority. “Brothers, tonight we gather to celebrate our strength and unity as werewolves. We must always unite and support each other, especially for the new members who grow in our community.”
Listening to Rudolf’s voice made my heart feel warm. Maybe everything that had happened would bring me to this togetherness, and I felt so proud to be a part of this journey.
As all the members cheered and welcomed him, I felt a new spirit spreading. It was as if all the burdens of my pain disappeared as I sat there, close to the figure I loved.
“Here, we will learn and grow together. Let us welcome our new Luna, Mikayla,” Rudolf added, and everyone turned to look at me.
I was touched, feeling supported by everyone. With the courage that flowed in my blood, I knew that this was where I belonged—among them and beside Rudolf.
“Let’s face everything together, like a family!” Rudolf exclaimed, and cheers filled the room again.
This new strength, hope, and love—it all seemed like the beginning of a new chapter in my life as a werewolf.
I was introduced by Rudolf as Luna, the most respected figure here.
Gratitude filled my heart, but on the other hand, I also felt insecure.
I still couldn’t believe that I could be a part of something this big, respected and cared for by everyone around me.
When Rudolf gave me the opportunity to speak in front of the members, I felt my heart pounding.
This was a very important moment, and even though I was nervous, I knew I had to be as strong as I could be.
“Mikayla, this is your chance to share. Remember, they are here to support you,” Rudolf whispered encouragement as I stepped forward, taking a deep breath.
As I stood before them all, my eyes darted around to see the hopeful faces. With a little strain, I opened my mouth, trying to make my voice come out clearly.
“Greetings, my friends, my brothers… Thank you for welcoming me here as Luna. I am so honored and touched. Right now, I still can’t believe that I am here with all of you,” I began, my voice shaking but full of enthusiasm.
“I know this journey won’t always be easy, but I am determined to learn and grow with you. When Rudolf found me, I was on a quest to find out who I really am. And with the support of everyone, I believe I can find my way in this community,” I continued, feeling courage wash over me.
Once again, I looked to Rudolf, the one who had always given me hope and strength in my life. His presence, always supporting me, made me feel more confident.
