Chapter 67

Rudolf's POV
In the morning, after breakfast and spending precious moments with Mikayla and the kids, I immediately went to the office. Various tasks were waiting, and I knew today would be an important day.
When I arrived at the office, my secretary, Clara, approached me with the files that had been prepared. “Good morning, Mr. Rudolf. Today there are several important things that you need to know before the meeting starts,” she said, handing over the documents containing the meeting agenda.
“Thank you, Clara. What are the main agendas for today?” I asked, looking through the files.
“Today’s meeting will discuss the progress of the expansion project and possible new collaborations to come. There are also some issues that need to be addressed with the marketing team,” Clara replied, her eyes showing seriousness in her assistance.
I nodded, explaining that all of this was crucial. “Okay, I will prepare myself to meet the directors,” I said, feeling my confidence starting to rise within me.
After sufficient preparation, I entered the meeting room where the directors were already waiting. The atmosphere was a bit tense, but I knew I had to manage it. “Good morning everyone. Thank you for coming,” I said, flashing a big smile to lighten the mood.
The meeting began and we immediately discussed the various topics that had been determined. After hearing reports from each department, I gave input on marketing strategies that could help us get closer to our target audience and customer feedback.
“I believe we need to improve the way we communicate with our customers. By utilizing social media and more modern digital platforms, we can reach more people and strengthen our brand,” I said firmly.
The directors seemed to be paying close attention. “I agree with Rudolf. We need to adapt to the changing times and utilize existing technology,” another director added.
We continued our discussion and discussed more concrete marketing strategies and steps to implement them. I felt my energy flowing as I listened to my colleagues give their opinions and input.
“Also, we need to evaluate our existing budget to ensure that we can allocate resources efficiently,” I replied, trying to keep the discussion focused and results-oriented.
A director from the finance department spoke up: “I agree. We need to audit our old campaigns and understand what worked and what didn’t, so that we can redesign our strategies more effectively.”
We continued to dive into the nitty-gritty details, from choosing the right social media platforms to more innovative marketing techniques. Discussing all of this made me feel increasingly optimistic about the future of our company.
“If we can combine traditional and digital approaches, we will have a better chance of succeeding,” said a marketing director, adding to strengthen our argument.
In the midst of the discussion, one of my colleagues started to wonder about the possibility of collaborating with influencers and leveraging testimonials from previous customers. “This could be a new weapon to attract more customers,” he added, and I was quick to respond.
“Yes, that’s a great idea! Given how people are more likely to trust recommendations from people they follow and trust, this could be an effective way to build trust and strengthen our brand,” I said, feeling increasingly positive about the team’s enthusiasm.
We continued to formulate a comprehensive plan, making sure that we didn’t miss any important details and were ready to face the challenges ahead. The discussions that ensued gave us all new energy, and by the time the meeting ended, I could feel a sense of confidence growing inside me.
*If all goes well, we can strengthen the company’s position and bring the growth we’ve been hoping for. With the support of my fellow directors, I felt increasingly optimistic that the strategy we were implementing could bring success to the company.
After discussing ideas and numbers together, we agreed on some further steps to take. I felt relieved to end the meeting on a positive note.
After the meeting, we had lunch together. The atmosphere became more relaxed, and we started to have more personal conversations. This was a great time to get to know each other outside of business.
So did my colleague who asked, “Rudolf, how many children do you have?”
With a big smile, I replied, “I have two children, Emma and Daniel. They are twins and very energetic, always making the house full of laughter.”
Hearing that, several other colleagues nodded and said how great it must be to have children. “Wow, it must be so much fun! Children always bring happiness,” said one of them.
Besides, this wasn’t a serious conversation, so I shared a little about their habits. “Emma loves to draw and always makes cards for me when I get home from work. Daniel, on the other hand, is always curious about everything. He is very active and loves to play outside,” I said, feeling proud as a father.
My colleagues seemed entertained by these little stories. “Family is important. I often feel that it is our main motivation at work,” added one of the directors who is also a father.
Hearing that made me smile and feel happy. “That’s right! With everything we go through here, home is where I find true peace and happiness.”
We continued the conversation, sharing stories and experiences about daily life as parents. Without realizing it, time passed so quickly. This warm and pleasant atmosphere made me feel lucky to be part of this team.
By sharing stories about family, I felt close to my colleagues. This is part of building relationships outside of work, reminding us to prioritize the things that matter most in life.
After work, I was greeted by Mikayla and my children at the front door. The smiles on their faces made me feel like all the tiredness I had felt all day disappeared instantly. “Are you home?” Mikayla asked, her face shining brightly.
“Yes, Mikayla. We had an important meeting at the office, but it went smoothly,” I said, looking at her, feeling grateful to be back home.
After that, I told her about the meeting and the ideas we discussed. However, my curiosity about her activities at home was also burning. “What about you? What did you do all day?”
