Chapter 36

Rudolf's POV
The creature grinned, “Attacking you is part of my test. If you want to pass, then you must fight me!”
I realized I had no choice. Even though my body was still weak and heavily wounded, my courage to protect Emma intensified the sweat on my forehead and the pain throughout my body. “Alright, I won’t back down. I will fight for my daughter!”
Another fight had to happen. I gathered all the remaining energy I had, remembering how much this meant—save my daughter and my family. With determined steps, I prepared to attack.
We fought in a thrilling duel. Every moment, pain seared through my body, but my spirit could not be extinguished. I relied on my wolf instincts and my strong will to protect Emma, and even though I was tired, I continued to fight.
Finally, I managed to endure the pain and unleash a deep counterattack. My combination tried to penetrate the creature’s guard and bring hope to my mission’s success.
“This isn’t just about winning, this is about love!”
I shouted as I fought the creature, my intentions and hopes carried in every attack.
With final determination, I unleashed a full attack and brought the creature down. With a gasp, I was finally able to continue my journey to the top.
I had reached the top of Ghost Mountain, and the atmosphere there seemed quiet. The silence seemed to envelop this place, making my whole body feel a deeper tension.
With full hope, I shouted, “Emma! Where are you, honey? Daddy is here!”
Voices echoed around me, but there was no answer.
I searched for anything that could lead me to my daughter, but all I found was darkness and silence. Exhaustion began to overtake my body, but I could not give up. Emma depended on me.
Until night fell, when the stars shone in the sky, suddenly, a figure emerged from the darkness. He looked like a werewolf too, but bigger with a different aura. “You’ve arrived, Alpha,” he said, his voice deep and full of presence.
“Where is my daughter, Emma?” I asked, the tension burning.
“She’s in the cave,” he replied. “But be careful, there are many other werewolves there. They won’t let you cross their territory easily.”
The words of that answer left me stunned. On one hand, I was a werewolf, but on the other hand, I also knew the risks that came with being in enemy territory. How could I face the others when I came alone?
“Why did you help me?” I asked, suspicious. In this situation, I couldn’t trust anyone.
“Because, Alpha, I admire your courage. Your strength as a father to your daughter can motivate others. But, if you want to bring her back, you must face them,” he replied, looking at me as if trying to understand the scene in my eyes.
My heart pounded at his words. I knew this was the final test. “If that’s what it takes, then I will fight,” I said, a firm resolve making me feel my spirit return. “No matter the cost, I will save Emma.”
“Very well. If you’re sure about going, prepare yourself. Inside the cave, they do not like intruders and will protect their daughter with all their might. It takes strategy, not just strength,” she advised.
I nodded, preparing myself for the challenging journey inside the cave. Strengthening my resolve, I realized that no matter what happened, I would not back down. Emma was waiting for me, and I was the alpha responsible for protecting her.
With courage and determination, I stepped into the cave, ready to face whatever lay ahead. All the wolf powers within me would unite to bring back my beloved daughter.
With full hope and faith, I silently asked the Moon Goddess to help me. In this stressful moment, how I wished for power and courage to come from a higher being. Instantly, I felt an aura surrounding me—as if the Moon Goddess had heard my plea.
Suddenly, out of the darkness, a troop of werewolves appeared, strong and ready to fight. They moved around me, their gazes full of passion and courage. The direction of their presence gave me a sense of security that I had never felt before. “We’re here to help you, Alpha,” one of them said, leaning in supportively.
Relief filled my heart, but it also brought with it a greater sense of responsibility. I didn’t want to die foolishly in this battle without protecting Emma. With such a powerful force to support me, my hopes of saving her grew even brighter.
“Alright! Let’s go to the cave and show them who really rules here!” I shouted, encouraging my team. I felt energy flowing back through my body, and my spirits were lifted.
“Hiya…” With the power of the wolf within me, I stepped forward, leading the troops towards the cave. With speed and agility, we united, charging into the previously frightening area.
As soon as we entered the cave, the atmosphere turned tense. The sound of movement from within could be heard, and I knew that other werewolves were waiting for us. But with my troops by my side, we were ready to face whatever lay ahead.
We came face to face with a group of werewolves gathered, each with a fearsome look.
“Stop!” their leader shouted, his voice loud. “You will not get your daughter!”
Holding my courage, I stepped forward. “We have come to return Emma and will not back down. If you must fight, then we are ready!”
The fight began. Strength and agility guided our every move. The troops on my side showed incredible skill, fighting with equal fervor and sharpness.
Attacks followed one after another, and I felt adrenaline rushing through me. Screams and sounds of collision filled the cave. In the chaos, I kept looking for directions to where Emma might be.
“Don’t stop! We can do it!” I shouted to my troops, trying to keep their spirits up.
Will we be able to defeat them and find Emma? In my heart, I believed that we would not stop fighting until my daughter was safely back in our arms. With the strength of approaching victory, the spirit grew stronger inside, and the storm of battle became a sound of hope.
