Chapter 76

Mikayla's POV
“I want to be an active part of this community, helping and supporting all of you, just as you supported me. We all have the same goal—to take care of each other and create a strong bond between us,” I said, my passion starting to flow with every word.
The sound of cheers and applause echoed, giving me a sense of relief and happiness.
This moment, although initially frightening, now gave me strength and a new understanding of myself and my place here.
“Thank you for this opportunity. Together, we will face whatever comes next!” I said, and the atmosphere lit up.
Although I still didn’t believe that I could be a respected figure, I was determined to prove it.
That night, I returned to Rudolf’s room. After everything that had happened, I missed him so much and wanted to share my feelings and experiences that I had gone through while here.
“Alaric is my beta. I ordered him to train you while you were here. Are you feeling tortured?” Rudolf asked in a caring tone.
“A little. I have many wounds on my body and…,” I replied, feeling the fatigue and pain that still lingered. However, I also realized that every single one of these pains was part of the learning process.
Rudolf nodded, understanding what I was feeling. “We’ll handle that. Don’t worry, I’ll treat your wounds,” he said as he pulled out a potion from his bag. His gaze showed deep concern.
As he began to apply the fragrant ointment to my wounds, I could feel the heat but also a calming effect that immediately entered my body. Rudolf treated my wounds so quickly and lovingly, making me feel better with every touch.
“Feel this, Mikayla. Every single one of these wounds is part of your journey. They will heal and serve as a reminder of the strength you possess,” Rudolf said softly, his eyes staring deeply into mine.
I smiled at his sincerity. “Thank you, Rudolf. I’m lucky to have you by my side,” I said, feeling the love and togetherness growing stronger.
After all the wounds were treated, I felt more at ease. The pain began to subside, and I could feel my spirit rising again. Beside Rudolf, I felt stronger, as if every challenge seemed lighter.
“With you, I feel like I can handle anything that comes my way. I will do my best to become the Luna I hope to be,” I added, feeling excited by my determination.
“And I’m here to help you every step of the way. We’ll get through this together, Mikayla. Your strength inspires so many people, including me,” Rudolf replied, making my heart flutter with happiness.
The two of us sat side by side, sharing stories of the challenging and hopeful days ahead. Last night, I felt so empowered with Rudolf by my side.
The next day, Rudolf took me to the human town again. After a few days in the cave and experiencing a new life as a werewolf, my heart was pounding with the desire to see the children again. I missed them so much. They were everything to me.
When we arrived at the town, the sound of children’s laughter could be heard in the distance. My heart leapt with joy. I couldn’t hold back the longing any longer; I ran towards them.
“Emma! Daniel!” I shouted, my eyes sparkling with happiness as I saw them. When they both turned around, their expressions changed to indescribable joy.
I hugged them tightly, feeling the warmth and love I had longed for. “Mom!” they exclaimed in unison, bringing me back to the world where I felt most whole.
Rudolf stood behind, watching this precious moment with a smile on his face. “We’re going to make sure our family stays together,” he said, affirming my feelings.
After hugging them and feeling the comfort I’d been wanting for so long, I carefully released my embrace. “Are you okay? Mom missed you!” I said lovingly.
Emma smiled widely and said, “We’re okay, Mom! Daniel missed you so much too.” Daniel nodded in agreement, his face full of joy.
We spent some quality time together, playing and sharing stories. Rudolf stood looking at the kids and me, happy to see the happiness on our faces.
“I also want you to know, Alaric and Mom’s new friends are going to be part of our family. We’re all going to grow together,” Rudolf said, trying to explain the changes without making them feel anxious.
Hearing those words made me even more grateful.
“After this, I have a surprise for you!” Rudolf added, and the children’s eyes immediately lit up with enthusiasm.
“Yay! What’s the surprise, Daddy?” Emma exclaimed, eagerly awaiting Rudolf’s explanation.
“Come on! Let’s go for a walk, and I’ll let you know when we get there,” Rudolf replied, and the children and I couldn’t wait.
I didn’t feel any pain anymore. Rudolf had treated all my wounds in a loving way. After such an incredible recovery process, I couldn’t believe he had such impressive charisma. Seeing him interact with others and become a respected figure made me feel proud and inspired.
We headed to the mall, and the children played happily. They explored every corner, laughing and running, feeling a priceless freedom after being cooped up at home for so long. Seeing them so happy made my heart flutter.
“Look, Mommy! I want to ride that swing!” Emma exclaimed, pointing to the crowded playground. Daniel, with equal enthusiasm, ran towards the playground, and I couldn’t help but smile.
After a while of playing, we took some time to relax. We all headed to the cinema to watch a movie. The fatigue from the previous activity disappeared as soon as we sat down. The dark and laughter-filled atmosphere of the big screen invited curiosity and excitement within us.
After the movie, we went to the food court to eat. The atmosphere inside was bustling with the aroma of various tempting foods. We chose various types of food—from noodles, burgers, to sweet snacks.
“This is the most fun time!” Daniel said excitedly, his eyes shining at all the food.
“Yes, this is an amazing day!” I replied, feeling happy to be spending time with them. Family is the most important thing, and every moment made me believe more that we can get through anything together.
