Zara's POV
Now my phone is dead because the battery is low. So I can't contact anyone to pick me up including ordering public transportation online to go home. I'm starting to get confused about what to do now. I can only freeze and be stiff here with my back to Doctor Leo who is still standing behind me. Doctor Leo started to greet me again. Offering my help to go home with him using his vehicle.
"Excuse me, Doctor Zara?"
I was still silent without responding because I was still nervous and embarrassed about the incident earlier in the laboratory.
"Doctor Zara?" Doctor Leo reprimanded me again.
I started to dare to communicate with him again.
"Yes?" Still in a position with my back to him.
Suddenly my heart was beating fast for some reason. Feeling faster rhythm than before.
It felt like it was going to come out. I really had trouble controlling my heart. My breath felt shorter and difficult to stabilize.
"Doctor Zara, are you okay?" He interrupted my reverie. I was shocked and started to turn my body towards him. He was already a few steps away from me. I think only two or three steps. It made me feel shocked, and I started to think badly about him. My eyelids opened wide, depicting a feeling of disbelief that he could be this close to me.
"Yes, I'm fine." While swallowing my saliva, I answered confidently. Even though I actually didn't feel okay. I felt nervous now, for some reason, suddenly like this.
"Are you seriously okay?" He made sure by asking again.
This was really annoying. In a situation like this, he repeated a question that didn't need to be said. It only made me even more nervous.
"Of course." Even so, I still answered like someone who was fine and my answer seemed firm. I hope he thought I was firm and couldn't read me who was currently nervous.
"Are you going home?"
"Of course."
Hmm, I think that's the strangest question I've ever heard in my entire life.
"Then how will the doctor go home if the car tire is still flat?"
"Eeeee...." I had difficulty answering.
This was the first time I found it so difficult to answer a question. It seemed silly but somehow I didn't have a stock of answers to voice to him.
"Want to go home together?"
"Huh, what do you mean?"
"I mean, you can go home with me if you like, that is if the doctor is willing to go home with me on the motorbike."
"Huh?"
"Yes, is the doctor willing to go home with you on the motorbike?"
"Eeeeee...."
I was in a panic and had difficulty deciding.
"How?"
"Eee how about my car?"
"We'll take it to the repair shop first."
"How?" I don't know why this stupid question came out of my mouth. This really made me feel silly.
"Yes, you ride a motorbike with me and then we stop by the repair shop first. Let the mechanic pick up your car here. In the meantime, I will take you home. As for your car, let it be kept at the repair shop first to be fixed. When it's finished, it will be delivered to your house. Rather than waiting at the repair shop, isn't that boring? It will take a long time if the inner tire is punctured. Not to mention, it's already night, and the car will probably be finished tomorrow if it's delayed tonight."
I had no other choice but to accept Doctor Leo's offer even though I felt embarrassed and awkward. Finally, I answered by saying yes to his invitation and agreeing to his suggestion regarding the fate of my car.
I started to leave my car there and followed Doctor Leo's footsteps towards his motorbike. It turned out he was using a big motorbike. I started to feel insecure about getting on. But Doctor Leo convinced me to get on and ride this motorbike with a calm feeling.
"Come on, doc, don't be afraid!"
"Um, but..."
"No, don't hesitate! It's safe." He assured me and I started to dare to get on.
Finally, I was on the motorbike and was being carried by Doctor Leo. He was so dashing riding this motorbike. His masculine side was seen as full of charisma by wearing a cool helmet and motorcycle jacket. While this was the first time I showed my feminine side which usually has difficulty appearing on the surface. But this time I really showed my true female side. It turned out that I still needed a man to be in my life. I, who am an alpha woman, am actually not that brave. There are still many fears in me that I always try to cover up with a sense of prestige that is too high.
"Ready? Ready?" Doctor Leo made sure that I was safe on this motorbike and he would soon ride the motorbike.
"Okay, ready."
"Sorry, Doc, hold on."
At first, I felt hesitant and awkward. But I was also afraid that if I started walking I would fall and be dragged by the strong wind that hit the motorbike from the opposite direction. For that, even though I felt embarrassed, I was actually willing to hold Doctor Leo's waist even though it was an unusual feeling. I didn't hold on too tightly and didn't hug him from behind but only held on to the edge of his waist. Roughly, I only put my hand on his jacket.
"Okay, let's start driving."
The motorbike started moving and the night wind began to hit my body and face until it swept my face.
I spontaneously let out a cold sound like this, it felt a little shivering.
It was clear that the wind tonight was so strong and I really didn't wear a jacket, just my work clothes. Because I usually drive a car so I don't need a jacket even at night.
"Cold, huh?" Doctor Leo asked immediately sensitively.
I didn't answer, I just stayed silent.
Suddenly, Doctor Leo stopped his motorbike, and I was told to get off the motorbike.
"Get off!"
"Huh?"
"Get off for a minute!"
"What's wrong?" I was even more confused about what was going on.
"Just get off first!"
"Okay."
I followed his orders and started to get off the motorbike. While holding on to Doctor Leo's shoulder, I got off. Then he also got off and suddenly unzipped his jacket. He really opened the jacket he was wearing now. Then he wrapped it around my body. I really couldn't believe this was happening.
"Put it on!"
"Huh, but you?"
"Just put it on! It's cold, right?"
I nodded and resigned myself to wearing it. Then we continued our journey.
On the motorbike, when the motorbike was moving, I started thinking far away. What if I was destined to be with Doctor Leo? Huh? What kind of fantasy is that? I really feel crazy tonight.
"Doctor Zara?? Is it safe?"
"Huh?" Her voice was not clear enough to my ears because the wind was quite strong.
"Safe?" She shouted a little against the wind current.
"Oh, yes it's safe," I shouted a little to be heard.
