Chapter 48
Zara's POV
I still couldn’t believe how my life could change so quickly. I used to have plans and hopes for the future with Orion, but now I ended all that to be with Leo. There were many doubts in my mind, but Leo could dismiss every question I had with full confidence. He showed me how sincere his love was for me, and I could feel the certainty in his attitude.
“This trust is an opportunity given by Orion, and I will not waste it,” Leo said one day, looking deeply into my eyes. His words made my heart tremble, and I hoped that I could give my best for this marriage.
That night was a special night. As a new wife, there were many mixed feelings inside me. I wanted to be a good wife for Leo, but I also felt confused about how to serve my husband in bed. Every thought made me feel anxious and excited at the same time.
Leo treated every moment with love, showing how much he appreciated my presence in his life. I learned to recognize his desires and tried to be comfortable with myself in this situation. That night felt intimate, filled with loving gazes and warm smiles.
When the two of us were in bed, I tried to let go of all my doubts and just focus on Leo and my feelings for him. I learned that being a wife is not just about what happens in bed, but also about the emotional intimacy we build together.
Slowly, we found our rhythm, and I began to feel more confident. We shared happiness, warmth, and a deep connection. Leo was always gentle and attentive to my every reaction, making me feel safe and loved.
That night taught me a lot about love and intimacy. I realized that all the doubts that had haunted me all this time were slowly disappearing, replaced by a sense of trust and sincere love. In Leo's arms, I found new strength and confidence that I had indeed made the right choice.
With new enthusiasm and burning hope, I was determined to continue learning and growing as a wife and to make this marriage a journey full of happiness with Leo. I knew that we still had a lot to explore together, and I was so grateful for the love we were able to build together.
The next day, I was still enjoying my leave from work after our wedding, while Leo had to return to work because of the sudden wedding. I decided to use this time to relax and adjust to my new life as a wife.
Suddenly there was a loud knock on the door. Surprised, I rushed to the door and opened it. In front of me stood a girl with a neat appearance, but her face looked full of disbelief. “Who are you?” she asked sharply.
Surprised by her question, I answered, “I am Zara, Leo’s wife.” However, my answer did not get the expected response. The girl just looked at me skeptically, as if she didn’t believe what I had just said.
“No way,” she said, then, without hesitation, pulled my hand and pushed me out of the doorway. Although I didn’t expect it, she had quite a bit of strength. “You have no right to be here. Leo wouldn’t marry someone like you!”
Confused and a little hurt, I felt the need to defend myself. Who was this girl? Could she be one of the people in Leo’s life that I had never met? Or could she be his sister that Leo had told me about? As far as I could remember, he had mentioned that he had a sister, but he had never told me her name or much about her.
“I don’t want to fight with you, but I am Leo’s wife. Can’t you give me a chance to explain?” I said, trying to remain calm even though my heart was filled with a mixture of emotions—confusion, anger, and worry.
She looked at me, her gaze as if she was considering. There was a sense that she was very protective of Leo, and perhaps she didn’t want to see her brother marry someone she deemed unworthy.
“Leo isn’t here, and I won’t let anyone surround him freely,” she said again in a firm tone, but I could sense that beneath her tough exterior was a deeper feeling.
“I’ll wait for Leo to come home,” I replied, trying to establish my position. “He’ll explain everything once he gets there.”
But the girl didn’t seem affected. “I really want to know who you really are, Zara. If you are Leo’s wife, then I need to see proof,” she said in a challenging tone.
Inside my head, all the confusion was growing. Who was this girl who dared to confront me like this? And how could she be so sure of my intentions? But before I could answer, she turned and walked away, leaving me there, confused and full of questions.
With a pounding heart, I thought that I should wait for Leo to explain the situation. I felt determined not to let this uncertainty ruin my new days as a wife. However, doubts began to creep into my mind. Was I really willing to face the story behind the girl? And what would Leo say when he returned?
After the tense interaction with Cindy, I felt a rush to contact Leo. With mixed feelings, I called him and begged him to come home immediately. “Leo, something happened at home, and I need you here,” I said in a tense voice.
Leo arrived shortly after, and I could see how anxious his expression was when he saw me standing in front of the house, next to Cindy. When he saw us, his expression changed from anxious to calmer as he recognized the situation.
“Zara, this is Cindy, my little sister,” Leo said, explaining to the two of us in a calm tone. “Cindy, this is my wife, Zara. We just got married.”
