Chapter 17
Elijah's POV.
This blood-burning link did not respond to anything, and I even felt that I had made a mistake in reciting the spell.
I opened my eyes, unbelievably, and looked at Oliver in front of me.
"Don't look at me. The success rate is 80%, which means you can't do it all at once. But I can help you pair up whether the spell made a mistake." He took out a worn notebook.
After confirming that the spell was accurate, I opened the link once more. This time there was still silence in my head.
But I knew that since there was no mistake, I could still keep going, so I recited the mantra a 3rd time.
"Here we go!" I was so excited I almost opened my eyes.
An image appeared before my eyes. I was lying on the ground, surrounded by a forest. But the rising sun allowed me to quickly determine their approximate location.
Moreover, there are red lands there that are rarely seen in the forest.
"By the look on your face, I knew this one had worked." I opened my eyes. oliver was sitting next to me looking at me with delight and handed me another bowl of herbs.
"For the sake of your life. Drink it first, and then tell me where we should go."
Isabella's POV.
In fact, I have tried many times to use the companion connection to find Elijah, but each time the result was a failure. But just now I suddenly heard his call in the back of my mind.
I couldn't wait to share with him, everything I was able to show him. I knew what would show him where I was.
This does not include the situation I am in front of.
Liam and Emma still looked like wild animals as they continued to indulge in that pleasure in front of me. Looking at both of their bodies, I just felt incredibly disgusted.
As if to make me a little more upset, Liam was still shouting my name over and over this time.
If the one just now I can take it as an accident, this time his purpose really can not be clearer.
"Do you think it's better for me or him?" Emma's expression was clearly jealous. Her eyes were full of tears, but she was still staring at me with a deadly stare.
"Where did you get the idea to compare yourself to her, knowing that your face isn't half as good-looking as hers?" Liam, however, patted her again as if he had heard something remarkable, and told him to change his place.
"It's really no fun for you to do that." Liam said this, but still honestly continued to press up.
This makes me feel even more that he is a beast who only obeys his instincts.
But I knew that Emma looked at me with an even more resentful expression.
Soon the resting activity for the two of them was over, and the three of us moved on. This forest was a place I had never been before and I could no longer quite tell where I had gotten to. I just hope Elijah can find this place quickly based on the information I provided.
Worse than that was Emma's attitude. She lets me do everything for her as if she is very soft, and as soon as I say no, she kicks me in the stomach.
I had to put up with it for the sake of my children.
"Go boil my bath water, bitch." She gestured at me once again and I just had to duck out of the way early.
"How dare you have the nerve to dodge-" she pulled a long, exasperated tone. "Would our pack be in this situation if it weren't for you? How dare you have the nerve to-"
Is this my fault? I don't understand. Why would I choose to leave if the pack itself hadn't done so much wrong?
Still, I quickly prepared the water for her bath. This is a forest, it's not hard to find wood that you can burn. And the water source is not too far away.
"Ha, it seems that this little bit of your well-hidden strength for lifting bath water is just ah." She sat in the water and laughed even more arrogantly.
I looked at the bruises on her body and didn't know what to say for a while.
With her practice of holding Liam in high esteem, I think she probably just thought these were some kind of medals on her.
"I admit I used to be jealous of this face of yours, but now it doesn't seem to be of much use!" She poured water on herself.
Although I did understand her attitude towards me before today, it was still completely different from her saying it directly and bluntly like this.
I just feel like my heart is half broken now. I didn't think that the friendship I had for so many years in the past actually hid such a truth behind it. I almost collapsed.
But sanity held me up. I knew Elijah would come to me, and when he did, I would tell him the good news that we could still live happily together.
Emma's face suddenly looked much worse, perhaps because of the happiness on my face. Her mouth kept bubbling with all kinds of insults, some of which I had never even heard before.
I really didn't think that she was actually this kind of person.
I felt chagrin. I had even defended him before, and now those emotions of mine seemed like a joke.
"What's wrong? Our noble ......" she stopped abruptly.
"The temperature is not bad, let's see what else you can do, after all, this is an escape, we can not live too comfortable, right? You go find a rabbit, I want to eat."
I got up in response, thinking to myself that I couldn't have hated them both more than I did right now.
I think Liam took me for a purpose. He just probably didn't expect me to be pregnant with Elijah's baby now, but as to what he was up to, I have absolutely no way of guessing.
I can only assume that I could be some kind of offering for him that could be offered to someone who would help him rebuild the pack.
So I should escape no matter what.
But apparently I was getting weaker and weaker as time went on. That child was eating away at my energy, and what was worse for each other were those dominations Emma had over me.
"It's all your fault, don't you get it?" Finally Emma broke down before I did.
"We wouldn't have had to ...... if you had been good and done the things you were supposed to do!"
She took the stone and threw it at me with a vengeance.
My forehead was smashed at once. I felt the discomfort of warm blood flowing on the corner of my forehead, I covered my head and sat on the ground, but then came her punches and kicks. I was already weak, and this one almost made me pass out directly.
I subconsciously covered my stomach. I could feel the little life inside there, like me, seemed to be in severe pain, and I had to protect it no matter what.
In the last moments before my consciousness disappeared, it was as if I heard a lot of people shouting. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but their anger infected me as well.
Liam Perspective.
Although I need Isabella to live, I don't need her to live too much. So I gave Emma the right to dispose of it, and there wasn't any problem with some of this, but then today I saw those black figures flying through the air.
Of course I know what they are, they are wizards! Here speaking, they never enter the territory of werewolves!
I suddenly thought of that father of Isabella's. He died at my hands, how could I not remember the circumstances.
What's going on? Did they come for Isabella? That was the only explanation. But I couldn't believe it at all, and I even took a chance. After all these years, they didn't come looking for them, so how could this time ......
But when a lightning bolt fell on my head, I understood. This is the wrath of the wizard.
"Are you still going to wait for death here and there? Run!" I called on Emma and together we ran deeper into the jungle.
Elijah's POV.
I was leading the way through the forest when I saw two figures that could be described as sneaky, and it was none other than the wretched Liam and Emma.
They both seemed surprised as to why they were here, but when I saw that they weren't followed by Isabella either, I felt even more worried.
A few of us caught them just as easily.
"Where's Isabella?" I wouldn't say one more word to them.
"Ha, she's dead! She died a horrible death, smashed into powder by me with a stone ......" Emma shouted there as if she had suddenly gone crazy.
"Do you want to go and collect her body? I'm afraid it's too late, I buried her in the ground a long time ago, he should now grow on his brain ......"
I just can't listen to it anymore.
By the time I reversed it, Emma's head was already lolling at an impossible angle. Only then did I realize that I had just snapped her neck in a fit of extreme rage.
"I can't believe you think so highly of our breeders." Liam giggled.
I looked dead on at Liam again and hammered a fist towards him. But the moment my fist hit him, he actually was directly into a wolf fled from the crowd.
I likewise shifted my form and went after him, biting him on the neck. But he twisted his front paws and slammed them into me. I had to let him go in pain.
He escaped once again, and I knew he wouldn't get far with his serious injuries, so I rushed to call my men to catch him.
I was then suddenly taken over by the sadness of the lost Isabella and could barely stand up and sat straight down on the floor.
"Isabella!"
I tried to contact her in the link. But there was no more call back, and this time I knew I had lost her for good.
I just feel myself in the eyes can not control the outflow of liquid. I fell to my knees and shouted at the sky, my throat was filled with the fishy sweetness of blood.
I hammered angrily toward the stone next to me. It was hammered with a crack, and then I could barely use my arm anymore. But I couldn't feel the slightest pain, nothing was stronger than the pain in my heart.
"I found you guys! Did you know? There are actually wizards around here? Wait a minute he ......" I saw Oliver he pointed at me in horror.
If it were usual, I'm afraid I'd still be in the mood to laugh at his lightning-like haircut, but now I'm not in the mood at all. I hammered my fist into another tree, and this time both of my hands lost consciousness.
And just before I fired again, I suddenly felt a lightness in my feet and fell forward, and the last thing I remembered was Oliver's expression.
