Chapter 41

Isabella's POV.
James walked in the front of those people. He held a wand in his hand, as if he were really the most amazing wizard in the bedtime story.
And those guards brought by the elders were blocking his way.
"According to the agreement, if we find that a member among you threatens our safety, we do have the right to send them back. So if you continue to stand here, I do have the right to deal with you instead of your alpha." He raised his wand with menace.
His intention was very clear, if these people still refused to back down, then he would have to deal with it on behalf of the elders of the wizard.
Although I knew he wasn't a bad guy, at a time like this if he struck it would still cause a lot of unnecessary trouble. So I jumped down and stood between the two groups.
"luna! It's our luna!" said Maria, struggling desperately to get up. Her expression looked so happy.
"I'm sorry, Elders. I've made you guys laugh." I pulled the cloak of the guard beside me and draped it over me, turning into a human and standing among them.
"We are very sorry to have put you in this situation, and we will definitely deal with it strictly."
I could see that the guards' expressions were obviously wrong. They hadn't even thought that someone as young as James would still be an elder!
Elijah's POV.
"The girls have arrived, James sent them over just so I could take him to meet the dragon boy." Isabella sent me a message in the mate link.
"That's really nice. I'll arrange for some women to help them later, so that shouldn't make them too upset."
I recalled the kind of situation Isabella was in when she first came to our Pack. Although they had been living in a tribe of witches for a long time, I thought they should perhaps still have a hard time adjusting to being touched by males.
They will be living in a female-dominated area of the Pack, which will certainly make them a little more comfortable.
"Thank you very much for arranging this for them." Isabella answered me. She sounded calm, but also hid a bit of concern.
"That way even if I have to be taken away from them now, I won't be too upset."
I can feel the volatility that Isabella still has in her emotions. She still cares a lot about these people, and the days she lived in White Birch Pack will probably always be a scar in her heart.
"Poor girl." The wolf chanted in my head as he spoke the words for me.
"We never need to say thank you to each other." I conveyed stability to Isabella.
I know that after today's trial she will be under house arrest as well. people like Liam are like that. They will drag everyone else into the abyss with them.
Because of the arrival of these girls, Liam's trial was once again postponed. For James had just arrived here to show the fact that he had brought many witnesses.
This really should have been faster, but the elders could see that the witnesses just looked terribly damaged.
So the burden that falls on us is even heavier.
They are under strict control of their diet every day. Not because we lacked supplies, but because we needed to keep them safe.
But the next day there was a problem. By the time I got to the girls, there was the body of a bird lying there. The girls were hugging each other in horror, and it was simply the most painful scene I had ever seen.
"This bird wanted to come and drink our porridge, so I ......" said the girl sitting furthest forward, choking back a sob.
She had good intentions, but the truth is that the bird lost its life because it ate her food.
"He used his life to protect you and to repay you, so don't be too upset." I tried to comfort her.
Maria held her in her arms. After a while, I felt that her breathing was much more stable. The warrior women collected the samples and delivered them to Oliver, who was next door.
"This is just, well, outrageous." Oliver took off his gloves and poured the solution in front of him into a black bag.
"Anyone who could think of using something like that must be very vicious. I can't imagine what kind of person could think of using this, but whoever he is, he's awful."
That is a poisonous herb. If this water is drunk by them, then they will not have the possibility of survival. These people are hoping that they will never tell the truth.
"They would die slowly, as if gradually drowning in a pool. The pain far exceeds any kind of death."
"This is horrible, I've never seen such a cruel person." James covered his mouth in surprise.
He had been in this room where Oliver was. He knows how miserable these girls are, so he's willing to help. For that, all along I was grateful.
"How were you guys on your way here? Did you meet anyone on the way too?"
"We did run into a little trouble on the way here. There were werewolves who wanted them dead." James looked at the glass of water in front of him.
The truth is that they were attacked just as they were walking out of the wizard's colony. Those were the elite inside the werewolves, and if they were ordinary wizards, they would not have been able to defeat those people.
But they would never have expected that someone as young as James would be an elder, and one of the more powerful ones in the wizard community.
"When the girls are stable, let them testify. I hope those people will be punished soon."
This time even the wizards knew Liam and the others were nasty.
Isabella's POV.
I was surprised how Elijah knew James so well. From Elijah's description, I'm afraid they knew each other for a long time.
"Supposedly he had just lost his mentor at the time, so by agreement, the wizard colony sent him to us for a break." Elijah was clearly caught up in his memories.
"Wait a minute, this time of year ......" My eyes widened in horror.
Not many famous witches died in that time period. In other words, James the dead master is my father.
I covered my mouth in horror, trying not to cry out. I should have had a happy childhood, and even this James should have been the best elder early on.
But now, we can only live in this way. These things are really the fault of those elders now.
"I think you guessed right." James smiled and handed me a bottle of water. "That's why I'm a little bit closer to your mother."
"Oh, sure." Instead, I breathed a sigh of relief. I hadn't been able to explain my relationship with Elijah before this, and now this was becoming very easy. I could feel that Elijah was clearly not as nervous either.
"But do they know it's dangerous to come back this time?" I suddenly thought of the problem.
I don't want them to have the same miserable life as me.
"Actually, I told them. The moment I got that letter from you, I understood that this trip was definitely not going to be safe, which is why I came in person." James' voice even sounded a little proud.
But soon, his expression became sad.
"Those girls recorded the video. They knew they were likely to be assassinated when they returned here, but they wanted to try anyway." Maria's voice sounded almost choked.
I clench my fist.
This is all Liam's fault. I will definitely not make it easy for him.
Elijah's POV.
"So do you have anything else to say in response to the allegations against these girls?"
"No more, I can't say anything." Liam's voice sounded very frustrated.
I think maybe he didn't think that one of those girls had actually authored a handful of his hair, and that there was information on the hair that was pulled down so raw and hard that it was able to find out his identity.
These girls practically dragged him down with their lives. And given the kind of person he is now, my Isabella doesn't need to pay the price for what he's done.
He looked at me with such a fierce look in his eyes, as if he were still the White Birch Pack alpha.
But I knew that actually from now on he could not do anything, so I just looked back in the same way.
And as an elder, I was standing in the jury box, and Isabella, although not standing here for various reasons, was watching the trial, which was similar to a newborn for her.
"Agreed." I shouted along with the other elders.
"We have decided to exile Liam!"
The warriors got up together and caught Liam and dragged him out.
"No Pack will accept you." The oldest one, the elder, announced to Liam.
Liam looked almost like he was going to rush over and kill us. But he was forced down by the strong guards around him.
Although the Alpha as the head wolf is certainly the strongest, but who called this now there are so many wolf warriors around.
"The territory and members of the White Birch Pack will be accommodated by neighboring Packs. Given that the Green Creek Pack was the first to reach out to the White Birch Pack, this task will be left to you."
This is really the best possible outcome.
We took a group and pinned Liam to the edge of the territory. He was tied up as hard as we could, as if he were a captured prey.
It was endless torture for him, and indeed he did struggle desperately in this way. But to no avail, no one will ever show him heartache again.
Almost at the moment of releasing the practice on him, he rushed towards me and I hit him hard towards his face.
He ends up wandering back and forth between the different Packs until he is finally killed by one of them.
All Pack people have a deep hatred for these rascals. Because they all know that such a person is already doing certain unforgivable things, not to mention that he had done such a big thing.
The warriors came up and split the two of us. I shook my own beaten, numb fist and looked at him indifferently.
"You asked for it." I whispered.
It started when he still chose to defend the White Birch Pack in this way. He is doomed to his demise. Werewolves are independent individuals who have their own ideas and can't be under his sway all the time.
