Chapter 26

Elijah's POV.
The weather here which is why most of the wolves settled here. We don't want to get into any kind of conflict with those things that eat human blood.
"Blood-sucking bats are monsters summoned with magic formations. We are also mainly trying to find the one inside the blood-sucking bat as the leader, which carries the message of the creator." James looked over at me, carefully observing my expression. I nodded and gestured for him to continue.
"This will make it possible to determine who summoned them. Such a person should be spurned, no matter what community he belongs to."
People who have endangered the safety of their own community like this should be locked up in the darkest dungeons and just spend their lives. I agree with this point.
"Indeed." I said.
"Alas, werewolf. I think we should indeed work together. Just like our ancestors did." He held out his hand to me.
I didn't know how I should answer him.
Although the wizard and the werewolf seem to be on good terms at the moment, that is only the appearance. If my Pack does something first, there could be an imbalance. That would put us in a very difficult position of being caught between the two races.
"Just think of it as, for Isabella?"
He gave me a reason I couldn't refuse.
Isabella's POV.
I slept well last night and quite suddenly too. By the time I woke up it was close to noon.
I recalled that I thought it might be because of the medicine I took. If it was simply because of exhaustion, it definitely wouldn't have had that effect.
But didn't Elijah drink that stuff too? He didn't seem to have any problems. I am very confused about this.
"He's not a wizard, so maybe it's some kind of drug that only works for wizards. I'm afraid I'll have to ask someone here about that." Mia chanted to me inside my head.
Wait a minute, Mia?
"And congratulations you have recovered to the point where you can hear me, before whatever I said you dismissed it as a hallucination, going to have a bowl of medicinal soup ......"
I can obviously hear her aggravation now.
"I'm very sorry, I ......"
"I know you were sick before, so it doesn't matter. Originally I just couldn't talk to you, but the moment you fainted yesterday, I lost consciousness too." Mia explained to me.
"That's really unusual. But more than that, you should go and have a lunch first. Only with good energy can we do well in what comes next."
For this, I still agree. So I walked in the direction of the restaurant as soon as possible.
"hi, Isabella!"
"Good afternoon, Isabella!"
I turned around stiffly and looked at the two men who had called out to me.
What's even scarier than the end of the world is that Elijah and James appeared in front of me together today. When did these two get on so well? I was really worried that James had convinced Elijah to let me stay here and study.
"I will respect your opinion. Only I think that perhaps in this case, our two populations will have to work together again." Elijah sent me a message in the companion link.
I understand this. Vampire bats, this thing is too serious.
"About your aunt ...... I have sent someone to find her. You're not up to the standard of being able to leave here yet, so this tribe won't allow you to leave." James stood farther away from me, staring intently at Elijah.
"Trust her. He'll be back."
I didn't know what else to say, so I nodded my head.
Now in this situation, I really can only trust her abilities.
"I'd actually suggest you learn more about witchcraft so you can shut them up. Look at the looks on their faces." James pointed with me to the young men not far away.
"Most of the people here don't like werewolves and don't want to be around them. Your father was exiled at the time because he didn't agree with their decision related to this, but your aunt and the others always cared for him at the time."
I think I know why my aunt is not liked by anyone either.
"Don't you worry, Elder. I will do my best." I made a solemn promise to him.
"In the name of my Green Creek PackLuna, I will not let you down."
The rest of our life here was very peaceful, the two of us going about our daily lives like all the other young witches.
"So I have to come to class with you?" Elijah's expression was very torn.
"It's not necessary, but I'm afraid you don't have anywhere else to stay but here, and our place might be a little noisy during the day."
I'm referring to the wizards who are training hard these days.
We stayed in a guest room downstairs right across from the field where they were training. Even with the best soundproofing, you can still hear a little bit of sound.
Elijah's link would guarantee that he felt what was happening in the Pack. And since there is no response now, it can only prove that nothing is really happening over there.
This means that it is indeed very safe over there.
"Do you know what herbs you should use, that student?" The wizard on the stage saw Elijah looking right at me and nudged him up.
"I think we should use this white grass. I've seen it in the forest, but I don't know what it's called." Elijah answered with great conviction.
The teacher obviously knew about our situation, so he just sat him down too.
"The answer is very good. Its name is ......"
Elijah just sat down and didn't look like his expression changed much.
"It's the kind of grass that wolves tell me you can rip off when you encounter it in the forest, and if you eat it in, it can reduce the pain of your wounds." He explained to me in the companion link.
"We're not that cut off from their knowledge."
This statement made me feel slightly better, at least he was not so repulsed by witches.
"Yes, in a way these are all connected." Mia added in my head. "So actually, you two can use some of this to make the Green Creek Pack even better."
I was greatly encouraged by this. It also means that I don't have to feel guilty about holding Elijah up.
As my witchcraft studies progressed, I gradually recalled those parts that I had previously forgotten.
I was reminded of a moment when I was once treated like a breeder by Liam. This is something that can make my heart ache to the point of almost exploding when my perspective shifts from being a bystander back to being an experiencer.
But I still have to write this down on parchment. Because that was the only thing that could prove that I had recovered.
"I'm sorry for forcing you to write this out, Isabella," James said, looking at the piece of paper I had written.
"But all the same I want to congratulate you. You are now granted free access from this tribe of our wizards."
"Thank you very much." I don't think I've ever thanked him so much from the bottom of my heart. This man had put too much pressure on me before.
"This is for you, brave witch. It will protect you." He handed me a beautiful round ball.
It was a weapon commonly used by wizards and stored a large amount of magic inside.
I took it and packed myself up as fast as I could reach. I handed my baby over to the doctors in the witch tribe. I was confident that they should not make any mistakes.
Despite the permission, Elijah and I didn't have a very smooth trip. Now that the witch tribe has imposed a curfew, the guards have almost doubled. This meant that our permits needed to be checked by twice as many people as before.
"You two together?" The guard obviously didn't quite believe this.
"The last order I got was still not for you two to leave. There's just no way I can trust that."
"No, it's not against the rules." One of the other guards looked at both of us.
"Let them go. They are there to find those who have disappeared."
The first guard's eyes suddenly changed, as if he was praying.
"Go ahead, lady. I hope you can bring them back."
I returned the salute and tugged Elijah quickly forward. We needed to save as much time as possible and get out farther before nightfall.
The quietness on both sides of the road made me feel uneasy. Before this, it wasn't exactly noisy, but there were always a lot of animals. Now it's as if there are no more creatures except Elijah and me.
"You look like you're upset." Elijah let me tug at him.
"Did their words put pressure on you?"
"It's not because of that." I made up my mind and suddenly turned around.
I was worried, but it wasn't because of the guards. Getting my aunt back was just something I should have done. But Elijah wasn't supposed to get involved. I've caused him too much trouble.
"It's you I'm worried about. You shouldn't be put in danger with me because of this."
"No, that's our family. It's only right that we do this." He rubbed my shoulder.
"Your muscles are tight and if you encounter any change, you may not be able to use your full strength."
But if it wasn't for me, he could have been completely unconnected to these witches in the slightest.
"You are supposed to face this together, there is no escaping it." I heard Mia laughing softly.
"Since you are a pair of mates, you can say that this is the task given to you by the moon goddess. Accept yourselves, and don't be too inferior to yourselves either."
I took a deep breath and tried to adjust my mind.
"Do you feel better now?" He looked over at me.
He was so handsome. He was like a statue carved by the most perfect craftsman, without any trace of extra lines. Looking at his face, I felt that my wildly provoking heart was also much calmer.
Yes, there is not a single use to think about these things. I might as well face it properly with him.
"We should go carefully to the markings on the ground." I pointed to the forest not far away.
"This will get us to where we're going faster."
He held my hand. This time, it was his turn to lead me forward.
"Let me take you with me. Let's go find, those marks that belong to us."
