Chapter 55

Isabella's POV.
"Look closely, Isabella. do you see that finger down there? He's right under that one!" Mia screamed frantically in my head.
What?
I looked in the direction she was pointing. Sure enough, I saw a hand.
"Elijah?" I tried to call his name. I was afraid to go over there because I was worried that it was something else down there.
"If you don't reach out, maybe I won't be able to hold on indeed." Elijah had raised bruises all over the backs of his hands.
"There were some unexpected circumstances earlier, so I didn't respond to you. Now I think things are a little more stable." He said in a pretend relaxed manner. But I could clearly hear that he was panting desperately.
"I'm sorry!"
I yanked him up in a hurry.
We both slumped exhausted on the cliff. alex and Jessica stood a short distance away, my baby in their arms. The child
The child was squinting and looked as if he was almost asleep.
The other soldiers had taken the rest of the children, and they were jumping down the mountain with the small packages on their backs. But the children couldn't stop crying. It's just that no one would really care about this now.
"Not at all frightened in this situation, really a remarkable child." I looked at my children tiredly.
Now whether the "spider hand" or other people, now they all fell into this cave below. Although their bodies were almost impossible to find, it was also impossible for them to climb up.
"You're doing great, and so am I." Elijah muttered and tugged on my hand.
"Now that the job is done, we can go back and get some rest, can't we?"
"Yes, of course." I hugged him with great effort. My eyelids were getting heavy, I couldn't help it.
When the sun shone so brightly that I could hardly lie down anymore, I got up wearily.
"You're finally awake," Mia complained in my head.
"Do you know that you've been asleep for twenty-four hours?"
Of course I didn't, even though I still felt a little tired. Elijah wasn't in the bedroom, so I guessed he had probably gone to the office.
"I'm going to go find him, I need to know how this thing is going." I said to Mia.
If it hadn't been handled properly, then I would still be doing something about it.
"Is there anything else I need to know?"
"Oh, of course not." There was a clear pause in her voice.
Was she hiding something from me? I couldn't figure it out, but pushed Elijah's door open anyway. He didn't look too happy and was full of fatigue.
"Let me see if there's anything I can do to help our alpha." I sat at the table and watched Elijah go through the materials.
He handed them to me.
They had all been blacked out, and it took a specific spell for me to unlock them.
"His name is John, but actually his brother wouldn't call him that. Because his mother died when he was born, so his existence wasn't really a good thing for his family." I handed him the information in front of me.
I should have known, this is the information of "Spider Hand".
"We should have been more concerned about him at the time, but ......"
"But there's no 'if' about it anymore." He interrupted me.
"Yes, it's already happened." I sighed.
The matter was behind me, and I really didn't have to feel bad about it. But it reminded me that I needed to get to know everyone here a little better next.
"Is he really missing his brother, or is he simply looking for a reason to boost his presence for himself?" Elijah lamented again.
"I'm not sure." I shook my head.
Who knows what he'll end up thinking about, but at least for me, what he's doing does affect me.
But anyway, all the evil thoughts went to hell with the collapse of that cave, and now there's no one around here who can threaten everything we had before.
"But there's actually one more thing. Now that it's all over, Isabella. I think something about us should be on the agenda." He looked at me, obviously squirming a little.
I remembered Mia's strange tone. Was he going to say something to me?
Elijah's POV.
This place hasn't been this busy in a long time.
If there was some seriousness to their wedding, Isabella and I had a wedding that was all about us.
At the end of the day I knew there was a need for some sort of crowning process for her, but before that everything here was for her.
I looked at the white flowers, imagined him coming from the flowers, and unknowingly laughed out loud.
But anyway, after all that, we deserve this.
"God, do you know how silly you look?" Wolf trolled inside my head.
"I don't know how you want to put it, but you simply look like a little puppy right now. Would you feel particularly bad if you were to leave her for a few seconds?"
I wanted to argue back, but I found myself really looking just like this. I couldn't bear the thought of not seeing her for a few days, which is why I was particularly resistant to a wedding with her.
But it was the process that had to be there. She was worth it.
"I know, of course I know. But that's not the point on this day." I tried to contradict him.
The point is, she really is the luna here.
The music started and I stood in the white flowers waiting for Isabella to be assisted to my side.
This one wasn't so much a wedding as it was his official coronation as luna. There were not just those former elders like the last time Jessica got married, but even a lot of wizards.
This is definitely the most spectacular wedding of the werewolf clan.
"Turn around, turn around!" The wolf shouted in my head.
"It's time!"
I turned around in a panic and looked at her in surprise.
The wedding dress she was wearing was the most beautiful wedding dress I had ever seen in my life, but it had also been made in a shape that was very conducive to her movement.
There is a reason for this particular design. Because today is not only the day she becomes a luna, but also the day she officially becomes an elder.
From today on, we are the elders of this Pack, and everyone will recognize the status of our wolf pack, and no one can still treat us as they did before.
To declare war with us is to declare war with all the Pack.
James stood behind her, holding her hand. He was taking the place of Isabella's father, for which we had talked carefully before.
At this moment I even felt less jealous of him, because he represents the witch, her past. And coming to me was her future.
"This is our witch's little princess, and she's learned enough witchcraft. If you treat her badly, you might turn into a rose." James smiled at me and said.
"Not to mention turning into a rose, turning into a leaf of grass is what I should do."
I took Isabella's hand and dropped a serious kiss. There were screams all around me and I thought my ears were going to lose their hearing because of it.
I had never felt her hand so cold, which meant she was very nervous now too.
But how could I not be nervous?
"Your bow tie is a little crooked. If I could get my hands free right now, I'd find a way to yank it over." Isabella said in my partner link.
"You can right now." I stood in front of her, bringing myself as close to her as I could.
She suddenly smiled. Her hand piggybacked on my chest and slowly righted my bow tie.
In this moment, I finally realized that all that hard story of the two of us was over. No matter what, we were now officially MATE. No matter what, nothing could keep us apart.
Soon her face broke out into a smile, even though there were still tears in the corners of her eyes.
"What's that look on your face?" She muttered, gripping my hand tightly.
"Come on, let's have a dance. It's like we've never danced before."
The music suddenly became soothing. I turned my head and saw Maria, who was standing guard next to the sound equipment.
"Come on!" She shouted and picked up another bottle of wine. She danced with her bottle in the crowd, better than happy like a little crazy.
"You can do it too, after all, now's the time to take it easy." The wolf shouted merrily in my head.
"Go ahead and free yourself!"
I jumped off the stage and opened my arms, and Isabella jumped into my arms rather tacitly.
"Now I should spin around and ......" I thought hard about what to do next, but I suddenly lost weight in my hands.
The music became rhythmic and upbeat, and Isabella danced wildly along with the others. She almost stepped on my foot.
"And then we should dance together!" She tugged at me and we ran together to the center of the crowd.
Alex and Jessica were in the middle of the crowd. Jessica was dancing with a group of girls, and Alex was standing next to her watching her like a poor puppy.
This scene is just too cute.
Isabella's POV.
"Jessica is such a good dancer, I never knew she could dance before." I said seriously.
In the old days, we never danced when we were over there. Because the important thing about weddings over there is not the pleasure, but what it means. It only meant that a woman already belonged to a man.
But now, no matter what, the people of White Birch Pack are finally able to accept us and live among us.
We just announced ourselves at this ceremony as a Pack with dual elders. this is something that has never happened before, and even before this some Packs have never had elders. I think it's still very intimidating.
"I feel like I'm practically starving." I walk over to the cake and take a piece from Maria's hand. My baby is in the stroller next to her, playing nicely with a toy.
"You're exhausted, aren't you, honey?" I poked him.
"It's a great feeling, luna. before we were big, but we never really had the power to decide because we didn't have elders. Now we're in a much better position." Oliver looked particularly relaxed.
He handed me a glass of wine.
I took it and sipped it slowly. Even though it had a strong, smoky taste, I felt happy.
"Of course, this will be a new beginning."
"By the way, have you named your children?" Jessica suddenly came up to me as if she had thought of something. I looked at her slightly bulging belly and suddenly understood the significance of her asking me about it.
She brought her hand to her mouth and gave me a gesture. I knew that she wanted to keep it a secret from Alex for now.
"He's called the baby before, but I guess that's a little too perfunctory." I looked to Elijah, hoping to find a little inspiration from him.
But he only nodded, gesturing for me to continue this on my own.
"Ethan, his name is Ethan," I poked the kid's cheek. His face was so soft, it looked like freshly baked pudding. I took him out of the stroller and Elijah hugged me.
"That's nice." I lamented softly.
For my Pack, everything I have now.
EXTRA
1.
Isabella's POV.
"These kids grow up so fast. I remember when we were at the witch's colony, it could take years for the kids there to get to this point." I looked in amazement at the children not far away.
"Yeah, that's why I sent my son to train with those little kids under Maria." Elijah sat beside me, looking at the papers in front of him.
It's been awfully quiet around the Pack lately, and I'm even tempted to go with Maria to teach those little kids fighting skills instead of checking those materials along with Elijah.
It's just so boring. I even felt like a rotten piece of wood that was just about to grow mushrooms.
"Have you heard about that kid who went missing recently? He hasn't been seen for over twenty-four hours." Elijah picked up the conversation once more when I was almost asleep.
"I know. And that kid just happened to get into a fight with a kid right before he disappeared. That caused a lot of trouble for that girl. But didn't someone go looking for him?" I thought it was a little strange.
"It's not that kind of reason. The son came over to me today while you were practicing your witchcraft." Elijah finally put down what he was holding and looked up at me.
The child who had been hanging out with the missing Tom was Alice, the son's friend. with the boy still missing this girl was indeed the prime suspect, but the problem wasn't just in that area.
Because Alice is a descendant of the White Birch Pack, some people are already getting angry. They're blaming the little girl entirely for the incident.
"So that's why she's hiding out here, is it?" I looked at the little girl cowering in the corner.
I had seen her just now. She looked about the same age as my son, but was obviously a little more timid. For such a little child, I really didn't dare to disturb her too much.
"Hello, luna. i'm Alice," she said, holding out her hand to me, but the child was obviously terrified.
I can imagine what she's been through. The same things I've been through.
"It's no big deal, little girl. It's our duty to help you in this matter." I took her in my arms.
Soon Maria's fighting class was over. My son came running quickly with his water bottle in his arms.
But my son was too young. I didn't want him to know these things now.
"Alice, did you tell mommy about that?" He didn't look surprised to see Alice.
"Well, I didn't exactly say that." The girl replied. She lowered her head and I saw the bruise on her neck.
I realized that this incident would be a good time to educate my children. And in the meantime, I could save a poor little girl.
"What do you think, my baby? Do you think this matter is worthy of suspicion?" I turned to look at my son.
"No, Mom. I just don't think Alice should have done that one." He answered seriously.
"Very well dear, it seems you have your own ideas. But we shouldn't really jump to conclusions, but rather seek the truth." I replied to him.
He obviously did not quite understand the meaning of what I said, but nodded all the same.
I've been thinking about who did this before, but I never had a clue. But now, I trust my kid's instincts.
"But it's too difficult to think about this now, and it will limit our thinking. Why don't we go play in the mountains." I smiled and stroked Ethan's cheeks.
Immediately after that, I looked at Alice who was standing in the corner looking very confused.
"Ma'am, this is my most sincere invitation, and I hope you can come along too."
After all, it was really a dangerous act to leave her here, and it was not at all certain how the others would treat her.
She nodded and placed her hand in mine. Her brow was stretched and she didn't look at all as upset as she had just been.
"Do you want to come too? I'm extending an invitation to you, too." I looked over at Elijah, who looked at me and the two little ones and nodded seriously.
"Sure, it's kind of a very nice thing to get an invitation." He understood what I was saying and quickly replied.
Early the next morning, the four of us set out.
"Mom, do you think it's possible to find the answer here?" My son didn't look at me, but just walked alone beside me.
I was glad he had learned to use the link, or this conversation would have upset Alice even more.
"Not exactly." I replied sincerely.
After all, the mountains did have some delicious fruits and there were fish to catch.
The four of us headed deeper into the mountains. Inevitably we encountered some members of the Pack on the way, at which point I would gently keep Alice behind me.
But that didn't make the slightest difference to their gaze like that.
My goal is simple, I hope people can accept this very small Alice, even if she is not liked now, then I hope she can live a little easier in the future.
But now it seems that this thing is not realistic. There are still a lot of people who misunderstand her and treat her as the bad person who did harm to people.
"luna, I'm sorry." The little girl said quickly. I saw that her eyes were already adorned with tears.
"You shouldn't be thinking about that today. And as the leaders here, it's our responsibility to help you find the truth." I answered her. I didn't actually think a girl this young could understand what I was saying, but she just nodded seriously.
Elijah got behind me and gently wrapped his arms around me.
"She reminds me of you when you first came to this Pack. I should have given you more attention back then." Elijah sighed over the mate link, his eyes filled with guilt.
"It's not your fault, and if there is a fault, it must be Liam's." I reiterated my point once more.
"Now what we should be doing is getting to the fish and mushrooms, not apologizing to each other here."
"As you command, my queen." Elijah grinned and turned into a wolf and ran off. He kicked hard into the nearest thick tree trunk, which sent him spinning beautifully through the air.
"Wow." Alice and Ethan looked in amazement at the sight before them.
I knew it, he was showing it to these two little kids. Children's yearning for the form of a wolf will make them work out harder.
But I didn't want them to think this was too easy.
"When you grow to such an age, you can transform into wolves too. But this process will be very painful at first." I pointed to myself.
"I almost thought I was going to die of a high fever at that time."
"So there's a price to pay for that kind of change." Alice's eyes widened.
"Yes, just like a butterfly. It needs to break out from inside the chrysalis before it turns into a beautiful shape." I patted Alice's shoulder.
Everything will turn out fine, as long as she doesn't give up on what she has now.
Just then, I heard sobbing in the jungle.
I left Ethan and Alice with Elijah and rushed over. tom was there, sitting on the ground, clutching his backpack and crying.
So why was this kid here? I handed him my hot milk and carefully asked why.
"They don't seem to like me very much, so I wanted to find a place where I could accept myself." The boy shrunk himself into a ball.
His problem wasn't whether he came from the White Birch Pack, but that he had hurt a child. So he was hated.
But after he ran away from home, Alice, with whom he had a bad relationship, was similarly treated as a suspect.
This thing is just too bad.
"It's their fault, not yours, honey." The child that I hugged.
He was a little thinner than other kids his age, and maybe not even as tall as Alice.
And, I knew about that incident he had before. It really wasn't his fault, and he made up for it. It's just that no one believed what he said at all.
He still seemed worried, but we couldn't stay here any longer.
The five of us went back to the Pack together. A lot of people, including Maria, were waiting there. If it had been any later, maybe they would have rushed up the hill to look for us.
"Do you know how serious this is, a Pack alpha and luna are missing at the same time, and with their heirs!" Maria shouted, grabbing my arm.
"I told you guys." I shoved the fish in my arms into Maria's hands.
"Yes, but you didn't tell me you guys were going to be gone for so long!" She still didn't look too happy, but the moment she saw Tom and Alice behind me, her eyes went wide.
I was no less surprised than she was. These two weren't on good terms, but now it seemed like they were both okay.
Elijah smiled at us and followed by pushing them both to the front.
"So we're in class? Mom." Ethan tugged on my finger curiously.
"You're both teaching me."
"What?" I subconsciously yelped out.
I realized then that Elijah had just told him how he should go about reconciling the two. And now it seemed that Ethan was indeed a good student. He had understood exactly what Elijah had said.
"If there are no surprises you will be the Alpha of this Pack, so you have to be more sensible and stronger than the average person. Of course if you don't want to be the Alpha you can do whatever you want, it's just that these are skills you are supposed to learn."
I explained as best I could.
I didn't actually think he would understand what I was saying right now, but I did my best.
"Mom, I understand." Ethan looked at me seriously and took Elijah's hand again.
"That's nice." Mia lamented in my head.
"What a happy family."
I ignored her and led the two onward.
2.
Isabella's POV.
"Who are you?" I looked at the man in front of me.
He had a very young appearance, but his eyes were indeed very transformed. He didn't look much older than me, but from his clothes I could see that he was at least living 20 years ago.
"I I think you should have your own answer." He looked at me with compassion in his eyes.
I thought about it and just felt a blank inside my head. I didn't have an impression of him.
But he did strike me as a little bit inexplicably familiar.
"Dad?" I called out tentatively.
"Correct answer, dear. Can you remember a little something now?" He sat beside me.
Green grass appeared in what had seemed like a misty vision. I followed his example and sat next to him, picking up a sandwich.
A thought suddenly appeared in my mind that these sandwiches were not edible.
It meant that it was a dream.
"It's okay, Dad." I nodded.
He was the greatest wizard that my aunt and James had ever spoken of, the one who brought the two packs of werewolves and witches together again and managed to avoid several wars.
But because of this, he suffered unimaginable pain and eventually died in the territory of the White Birch Pack.
During my recollection, he kept staring at me.
"By the look on your face, I thought you might want to come over for a hug." He opened his arms at me. I couldn't hold back the aggression in my heart any longer and rushed forward to hug him.
His arms couldn't have been warmer.
I've been thinking about them since I was in the orphanage. Although I can't expect to have parents like everyone else, the fact that I don't even have an impression of him is very sad.
"But dad, why are you here?" I looked at him in surprise.
"Because you are currently being tested on the wizard's territory. This is a wizard's altar, and you were almost dead just now, and I came here to tell you that you should wake up."
I covered my head. After the severe headache, a little bit of fine memory slowly returned to my mind.
A few days ago I promised James to come and take this test. It was too hard for me, but he still wanted me to do something, after all, I was the only one who had studied for it.
I need to soak in the hot springs and use my power to make all the silver coins underwater float. But my magic power was not that abundant.
And that just about made me choke right into the water.
I'm starting to feel suffocated right now. This should be a near-death state.
"There, now you should wake up. My boy." He looked at me and tapped me on the shoulder.
I woke up with a jolt. I subconsciously leapt upward, only to find myself leaping out of the water. And the suffocating feeling just now disappeared instantly.
A large number of silver coins were floating around me, and the scene looked particularly bizarre from my angle.
"Do you feel better? Just now you were going to suffocate." Mia complained in my head.
"Oh, wait, you saw him didn't you?"
"If you're talking about my father, indeed I saw him." I still hadn't eased up from that emotion.
"Did you want to say something to him?"
"He had a great deal to do with your having me. In this case, you have him to thank." Mia smiled softly.
I knew she did come to me at a not-so-unusual time, but what connection could there be between this?
"It's been a long time, Mia," I heard my father speak in my head, and Mia squealed in a rare moment that didn't match her usual calm image.
It was a blood link that hadn't made a sound since I was born. The only one who would speak to me through this was my son.
Tears flowed out of my eyes uncontrollably and I sat down on the floor as if I no longer had the strength to get up. At this point I could no longer think about why there was no one around, I just wanted to say a few words to him.
But then I thought of something else.
"But, dad why did my wolf awaken so early?"
"That this is a very long story." He sighed.
He was with my mother at the bottom of the cliff when my mother had actually almost lost her breath and was even more completely unable to move. He looked at me and knew that their lives were coming to an end and that I was destined to be taken by Liam.
The only way was for me to protect myself.
"I we can't protect you from that, but I want you to be able to have some way to live, so I came up with that. Even though it costs a little bit of your life, I think it's worth it."
He used his own last life to summon the gods for me. The moon goddess who guards the werewolf race gave me the mighty wolf.
That is the reason my wolf has such powerful knowledge.
"You had a fever when you were sixteen, mainly because at that time you saw the way girls two years older than you were beaten and bruised all over their bodies. So this opportunity made you awaken." Mia added.
That's when I finally understood.
So my father had talked to Mia at that time, and Mia had woken up at that time to protect me better.
She wanted me to be brave enough to leave that nightmare wolf pack when I became an adult.
So she's good at everything, but she doesn't have the ability to play accordingly. Because she has only seen others behave like this. Now some of the doubts from her childhood were cleared up.
"It was James who brought you here, wasn't it? For him I feel guilty that I didn't teach him all my knowledge."
"But you left him with enough manuscripts and showed him the way too." I tried to comfort my father.
"No, just the opposite. I want you to let him know that I came." He chuckled softly.
What did that mean?
Immediately afterwards, I felt another strong choking sensation and the water almost drowned me.
I woke up inside the pool. I saw Elijah and James standing in front of me. James' arm was being pulled by Elijah, and I was afraid that if I woke up a little later he was going to get beaten up badly.
It turned out that the floating was just a dream. I chanted the incantation and struggled to get the coins to levitate.
Elijah rushed up to help me up, and I sat at the edge of the pool feeling like I never wanted to move again.
"James, someone wanted me to bring you a message." I stopped Elijah, who was about to lash out, and held up a smile as best I could.
"Even though I didn't finish reading that article of yours, I still think you have a good idea."
"What? I get it. I would write some of my thoughts to your father when I was a kid, but that was just a little snippet." James covered his head.
"Did he also see the scene when I wanted you to learn witchcraft? Would he think I was too cruel?"
"He he said you were a good boy, but you didn't teach me well." I wiped my face.
"Did any of you bring a towel? I need to wipe my hair. There's green algae in this water!"
Elijah quickly pulled a full bath towel over my head. The smell and warmth that belonged to him reassured me.
This quiz was just too cold, which made me incredibly uncomfortable.
"Now that you've passed the test, you'll be given the official title of the wizard coven. This is truly remarkable." James seriously put a pendant into my hand.
I knew that there was no way I could be an elder of the witch tribe at the same time as this. I don't have that kind of energy. But this title can already help me a lot. At the very least, the relationship between the wizards and the werewolves will definitely not be any worse in the future.
"But are you really not going to stay here for a while?"
"No, we have something very important to do." I answered him.
We had to go to the White Birch Pack's territory once. There were some things that had to wait until Elijah and I arrived before we could begin to make decisions.
White Birch Pack's territory had been divided, but there were still people from our Pack living in the homes here. Seeing the two of us, they came out to greet us warmly.
"Thank you guys, now get those out." I said.
That was the property left by Liam of White Birch Pack.
As a rule, these things should be distributed to the Pack around. But according to what kind of proportion distribution again became a problem.
"In proportion to the number of people? This seems to be more appropriate." I frowned at the table in front of me.
"That's true, but the vast majority of White Birch Pack people live in our area. That's why they feel dissatisfied." The man sitting in front of me was caught up in the memory.
"If they had offered help then, too, then naturally there would have been no problem. But the reality is, they didn't." I sighed.
I'm afraid there's no way to make everyone happy, because there will always be some people who want something without giving it.
But I wasn't going to change it.
"Thinking it over, Isabella?" a man walked in.
He was the beta of an adjoining Pack and was primarily responsible for communicating with me about it. But I could tell that he was getting into a lot of trouble communicating with the staff here, or those people certainly wouldn't be looking at him like that.
"That's about it." I handed him the paper.
"Any comments?"
"Of course not, we obey such a decision. After all, you guys took most of the pressure at that time." The beta quickly changed into a smile.
Although it might just be the calm before the storm, I don't think there's a more appropriate situation than this.
"It's a hidden problem, but he shouldn't choose to go head-to-head with us. They won't be able to defeat us." Mia snickered inside my head.
I certainly understood this. Not all Packs possess the ability to defeat my Pack.
This matter was resolved. I should leave now, but there is just too much of my past here. I should still have time to look around before Elijah returns.
I walked out the door and walked forward according to my mood. I didn't look up until I reached a freshly painted door sign.
This was the orphanage where I had lived for many years before. The doorway had now been cleared of weeds and much treatment had been done to the walls.
"Can I come in?" I looked to the guard at the entrance. His expression quickly switched from impatient to flattering.
Of course, there was no one here who didn't know me.
"Of course, of course you can. Do you need my escort?"
"I'll just turn around by myself." I thanked him.
I just felt that I should just visit the house where I had lived before.
The last time I sat here, I was still crying because I had become a breeder. And that was when Emma was my best mate.
Now everything has changed.
"luna?" the guard at the door looked at me.
He should be very worried that he's doing his job wrong.
"Not much. It's just that I used to live here. Luckily it's been redecorated too." I wiped the teardrop from the corner of my eye and quickly walked out.
Elijah's POV.
"So this is where you are. I was just going to ask, do you want to go over there and check it out?" I called out to Isabella, who I guessed would be right here.
It wasn't far from the cliff where her mother and father had been before.
Her expression was clearly torn, but she soon nodded. Together, the two of us chose some flowers in the flower field and tied them into a bouquet.
"Frankly, I'm a little afraid to face them." She busied herself with cutting the spikes off the moonflower branches.
"But I know I'm always going to meet them. Thank you for giving me that courage."
"No, the one who has the courage is you." I answered her.
We arrived at the same bluff as before.
There had been little sign of a fight here before we arrived, and even less so now. The wildflowers grew almost as high as my calves, and I picked the better ones and stuck them in the bouquet Isabella was holding.
"Well, it can't be much more." She whined softly.
"This bouquet is really big enough."
I took the bouquet from her, but I didn't think it could look good enough. After all, she was that precious in her own right.
The wind was blowing against us, but it wasn't cold at all. This situation could already be described as unexpected for this season. We stood as far forward as we could until we were almost on the edge.
"Mom and Dad, we are doing very well now." She placed the bouquet of flowers down.
There was peace and sadness coming from the mate link, but I knew it would be better not to disturb her now. She needed to digest the emotions. If she needed to, she could turn around and hug me. But when she wanted to be alone and quiet, I wouldn't bother her.
"I love you." She said calmly.
I thought of what Isabella had told me about what had happened in that visionary world. If there was a parallel world, wouldn't she be living with her parents now, living a peaceful life?
"I think now is the best that can be achieved." She sighed softly.
"Isn't that right, Mom, Dad? Don't worry about me, I'm doing fine."
Yes, I suppose it certainly is.
They'll live the happiest of lives with the moon goddess by their side. And of course, we do here.
"Come on, don't we have to go hunting tonight? We're done doing what we're going to do here tonight." She tugged on my arm.
I jerked back to my senses.
She howled violently at the moon, followed by a transformation into her wolf form. Her fur was even glowing in the moonlight.
"I'm coming." I threw down my jacket and likewise turned into the form of a wolf and chased after her.
I will protect Isabella so that she will never have to suffer any more harm. As long as I remain alive, then this vow will last forever.
Until forever.
