Chapter 104
Samira
Tyson *was* changed…. He held the aura of a paladin of the light, but his eyes were as intense as a demon lord’s…. What horrors did he see Below?
I blinked, seeing a flash of the Realm King cleave three worlds in half with one go, and with no effort, blow up their sun….. All three of those worlds were in a row. I saw that already, Xaxas himself showed us… but visions like that happen for a reason…. I wondered *when* will they send out my mate to conquer, to dominate….
How strong did the Horned One make him?
What did that do to edit his being, and what inner trial is he dealing with to ensure that our child is born healthy, and Tyson’s sanity kept in check…..? What ordeal does my mate go through now, now that his stomach is growling, likely for souls?
What would they have him do to accept such a high title? Everyone thought he would be 1st general, yet, even as the 3rd, I could feel that his power has increased so high that I cannot tell anymore. Sitting next to him now feels like sitting next to Lord Eternya without his aura suppressed….. Even now, I can feel the heat off his flames while he stands by the drain.
None of the council can stand a chance to deal with him by mortal means now. Tyson accepted his status as a demigod, and last I checked, the entire court is mortal, and the Sleeping Wolf King was defeated before he was put to rest with his mate.
*Tyson’s stomach growled*
“After this, we will have a recess for lunch.” Said Tyson.
“I believe that should be appropriate.” I said to try and diffuse some of the shock, and fear from out of the council. After this, they might begin to chat among themselves that their King is too strong, unpredictable, and they cannot control him. They cannot be corrupt as they were with is grandfather…
Isabelle rang the bell in front of her part of the long table, every council pair had one. Bryson said nothing. I knew what she had to say wouldn’t be an opinion either. Tyson’s choices will be his own.
“I’ll send word that the Alpha of PurpleMoon needs to appear within 7 business days.” Said Isabelle.
“Very well Third Seat. Send in the next one.” Said my mate still standing near the brass drain in the floor.
Tyson’s stomach growled again, but not as loudly…. I motioned for the Omegas to bring a steak with the bone in for him, and put it in his spot. The meat will be digested too fast alone by the sound of it.
I could hear the hyena guards speak in their language as they dragged the next prisoner. They don’t starve their prisoners or beat them. He was in perfect condition, with his left eye orange, and the other blue. The Shadow Warrior’s gray braid was neat, and his prison clothing was starched….
“Kneel Traitor, before the Horned King.” Sneered Shakira. Jabari was her assistant.
They forced him to kneel since it seemed he was keen on showing whatever disrespect he could. But my mate’s attitude remained the same. Unlike someone else… He was calm, that deathly plotting, secretly filled with rage calm.
And I could partially see why. My mate had a better grasp of blocking visions, but I still saw glimpses… This wolf has killed many, but nothing boiled the blood of the king more than seeing him cavort with Brutus, and Jang…
They showed Thadellious pictures of literal puppies, and they told him that he was to put them in a sack and drown them… There were meetings of them both with Thadellious… Multiple. They’d paid him half, and expected results… He told them that he couldn’t… not because they hired him to kill literal puppies, but because too many eyes protected my mate and his siblings… Thadellious couldn’t get near the other Shadow Warriors either, because they knew him, and knew he worked for Jang, so there was never an opportunity to try.
Then Mini, Harmony’s mom got pregnant, and they found out… But Thadellious stopped trying after Jang was caught, and made an example… It took something like *that* to stop their plotting… I silently held my belly…. My child *is* in danger…..
I no longer wish to be in this council room… I was flabbergasted, appalled at the lengths they would go to murder a child… a Child of the Horned One yes, but still… They cannot help who their parents and grandparents are. Nobody gets to choose that… And they *chose* to protect this world…
With a flick of Tyson’s wrist, his sword hummed at the ready. It was black, with orange runes on it. I had no idea what it said… but it pulsed there, as if it were waiting to be fed.
Tyson stood there taking the light out the room, while at the same time he made firefly sized light orbs. There was also a small flame that radiated off his skin. If not for his aura, the room would probably be brighter.
The hyenas made him bow his head in front of my mate, and I could tell Tyson was debating on if he was going to behead him here and now, or listen.
Ronitus rang his bell. “Thadellious, the Shadow Warrior, you were sentenced to death by beheading 100 years ago due to the former king’s mistrust in you, then you escaped. What say you in your defense?”
He spat on the ground. “You lot made me a vagabond without any means to redeem myself, or prove my innocence, and have the nerve to ask me if I have comments? Not a word would be heard.”
“I listen.” Said Tyson. “But know I can see your memories, and hear your buzzing thoughts. Speak truthfully.”
“Then I’m Sure *Lord Jang’s* memory should be jogged well and good. It was he who planted the seeds of mistrust in the crown in the first place.” Thadellious smirked. “After all, it was he and Brutus who tasked me with infiltrating Beast Moon, was it not? The only reason I didn’t, was that Brutus got killed, then Jang got exposed. I never got the chance.”
Bryson growled, while my mate looked unphased.
“Continue.” Tyson said simply. “You’re lucky you weren’t in GhostMoon that day.”
Thadellious was silent a moment. I suspect he thought his words would have gotten him killed quickly because of my mate’s temper, or a councilman….
“I… Brutus tasked me to join BeastMoon, and kill the devil spawn… but everyone can hear thoughts and intentions… The mission was too hard to carry out. I didn’t even get a chance to infiltrate BeastMoon. I didn’t get a chance to *actually* do *anything* other than mistrust.”
“But your intention, even now is a threat.” Said Tyson. “The Sleeping King saw your mind as I do now. You are not dying this day because you are an assassin… you die because you are a traitor.”
“I *DID* NOTHING!” He screamed. “Surely that accounts for something!”
“No, it does not Thadellios.” Said Tyson. “If I only had the *intention* of skinning you, but I was stopped, would you still trust me mortal?”
“But Jang left instructions, and coin.” Said Thadellious. “And Brutus knew he could be killed, but keeping *you* off the throne meant more to him and Jang than his life.”
“Aye.” Said Jang before Tyson said anything. “I will not lie of my wrongdoing… and for it, I served many a worm-eaten night… We thought with Queen Harmony, King Tyson, and his siblings dead before they could rise to power, we thought we were preserving this world…. How wrong we were.” He sighed. “We reacted such a conclusion without probable cause, because of *fear*. We thought the Realm King was coming back to ruin this world…. Stopping the Son of the Horned One sounds like the right thing to do on paper… but it was not.”
“You say that because you’re his dog on a chain now…. I pity you my lord.” Scoffed Thadellious.
“I’m not.” Said 7th seat Augustus. “Your Highness, may we speak freely regarding this?”
“Go ahead. My blade is not for you.” Tyson said casually.
