Chapter 64
                    Tyson
“He had no control, and they disobeyed the law…but he still should stand trial.” I mumbled. “I’ll send for wolves to investigate the fence.”
“I doubt you’ll find anything now.” She said thinking out loud. “It’s been a while now. Bodies are buried, any evidence like That is bound to be in a river.”
“The mortal’s right sire.” Said Ronitus, beginning to annoy me. He watched us grow up…. When we visited the castle he’d watch us with grammy Gwen…
He also always had fried deli ham back then… His hard work did pay off. I do like him, and trust him as council, but he will not overstep me.
“Ronitus, be silent.” I snarled. “Mortal you know *nothing* of the ways of wolves. As it is, he’s killed not only his fellow pack, but also my council seat.”
“I know *enough* to see your power trip!” She snapped loudly. “I know enough to see that you’re trying *too* hard to be King, that you can’t see he did that to save Your life!”
I growled.
“We have his location sire.” Said Jang, he said this like a kid wanting praise. I’d give it.
“Good. Tell him that he can either come to us, or I can come to him…. That Adress is in King Wix’s territory…. I’d rather not start a war with the goblins.” I said ignoring the mortal’s yapping. I’d had enough of her.
“I demand trial by combat if you’ll leave me the Fuck alone!” Snarled Kaizen. The sudden snarl made the girl scream, which told me she didn’t trust him.
*I Fucking Called It!*
“Bring Brutos and Jack as well.” I hissed.
“Whatever.” Said Kaizen.
“You can’t do that! You Swore to your mom that you wouldn’t fight him.” Willow protested, and mom shrugged her shoulders when I shot her a slight glance.
The phone was dropped on the floor with their struggle. The she-human was likely trying to escape since she didn’t trust my brother…
That sucks too… Wolves are different; I know he loves her….
He put himself in *this* bad of a situation for a mortal that doesn’t even want him…
That is what makes my blood boil… That he has to die for fucking *nothing*. For a human who uses him to live a *little* longer.
She’s likely going to eventually lead him to her nest…. I wonder how much our horns are worth?
There are only 6 descendants of the King of Hell… I wonder what kind of magical item something like my horns, or the steel from my sword could make?
“I said I wouldn’t so long as he throws the first punch. Is that agreeable?” Kaizen snarled at me full volume, and I could tell by the human freaking out, that that was likely her first time actually hearing it.
“….. I’ll give you 48 hours to get your ass up here. Bring the mortal too. If you run, I’m burning it All to the fucking ground, wherever the fuck you are on Wix’s lands. If you leave her there, I will send the hyena shifters to collect her.” I snarled with as much intensity, and he hung up.
“I’ll prepare the arena.” Said Ronitus, leaving with the Forth Seat, Esmond Wisp, the Breathless One.
“Son… do you really have to kill him?” mom asked crying into her hands, and father appeared from nowhere to comfort her. He wore robes… He never uses his powers if he doesn’t have to…. He *never* wears his godly attire…
I was on fire. My blood *boiled* from its own contradiction… I didn’t *want* to do the right thing… I should have just left him be as an exile…. But that isn’t justice either…
“It’s trial by combat… one of us has to.” I said standing, I heard grandmother….
She never speaks with me…
“Promise you won’t kill him.” She asked nicely, but I could tell she was trying to stop crying….
Gods I felt bad for doing that to her…. I could see the white moonlight turn red as if a lunar eclipse was going on.
I walked to the window. The moon was twice the size it should be as well…
That will cause chaos in the mortal world… one was not scheduled.
Time around me stopped; that was grandfather’s doing at likely her request…. I could see everyone frozen mid conversation, so I could tell her myself my plans….
“I cannot grandmother. There *must* be justice for the innocent…” I said somberly.
We shared the same blood… we looked, even sounded as mirror images.
Thought similarly…. Liked the same foods, hobbies…. Everything. Sometimes we’d respond to each other’s names…. but he was no longer my brother.
“Then at least Promise if the chance comes for mercy, you’ll at least consider it.” She negotiated.
“I can agree to that…. I don’t want this grandmother… But I *will*. Someone has to.” I said looking around. I felt the cooling touch of my mate.
“You can just pardon him.” Said Samira, crying on my chest.
Time was restarted while I looked out the window…
The tears stained my shirt, and filled the room with the scent of narcotics… I kissed her on the top of the head, linking Jang to go help Ronitus so he doesn’t have to sit in here and be forced to endure that…
I kissed her on top of the head. “Do not cry for the damned little dove.” I said holding her close.
“Your orders sire.” Said Shakira on panted breath. She’d ran across the castle during her workout, still in sweats and a sports bra.
“We’re identical to the freckle on our left ass cheek. One of us is killing the other. Prepare the morgue, contact the Church in case our death triggers another demonic event. The castle grounds cannot take another desecration.” I barked, not meaning to. “I want security doubled. Jack the Slasher can phase through walls.”
