Chapter 6
                    Samira
I gingerly put my hands on his shoulders, and I bit him as hard as I could. I couldn’t pierce his skin, but he grunted in approval. I sensed…. Holy energy from this demon… He reminded me almost of a Paladin of the Light…
But if he was, his hair would probably be white, or blonde….
Regardless, it took all the fear away.
There was no need to worry about his evil nature… He tasted… almost sweet… and he smelled like… fresh ink on paper…. He carried specifically the scent of a Tome of the Light, one that sat inside on an altar … One that had never been opened until I touched him… Not something I would have expected. There was also a dangerous scent to him as well… One that told me that if pushed, he would be the monster I thought he was…
I felt dizzy, as my uncertainty was replaced with butterflies… “All this time I worried if you would be a monster… Now all I want is to be in your arms…”
The mate bond was that strong already… I could almost see a thin red line connecting us, but for it to solidify, we’d need to complete this ancient ritual…
“I am a monster.” He said stealing a kiss, a light peck on the forehead. “I am greedy… I just met you, and I already want you all to myself.” He chuckled, leaning down to whisper in my ear... “And I can scent you do as well.”
My cheeks heated up. He was right… but I was hoping I hid it…
“It’s only natural, being in the arms of my mate.” I said shyly.
He grinned; it was wicked. “Then come with me. Let’s ditch the party.” He offered. He touched my shoulder to escort me, and I moaned…. He grazed my mark on accident, because he looked concerned the second he did it.
“Are you alright?” He asked gently putting a thumb on the bite… The sensation went straight to my core.
“I’m fine your highness… that just felt really nice.” I said looking him in his honey-amber eyes, and they flashed black for a moment.
He held my hand, and I could hear the happy ‘woo’ of someone from here… Whoever he was, he was heavily drunk, being the life of the party. We walked past the ballroom, and I could see his uncle popped a new bottle of champaign before we passed…
The Realm also held horns like my mate, except his were double in size being more like a ram’s…A flaming crown floated between them, and his coffee hair was held together with a pink bow at the bottom. That was probably done by King Xaxas’s mate… He also had his tie on his left horn, and it was on fire, but not burning up….
Tyson stopped walking, and waved. I did too, albeit I did this very timidly…
The other two slightly shorter men were his brothers… They were all 10, 11, and 12 feet tall respectively… All three had flaming crowns, and silky straight hair. The only one who didn’t have the dark brown was blue… That was the Lord of Death, Asanguis the Blue Serpent… . They stood in a circle, but I knew their mates were in the ballroom as well; I just couldn’t see them through the small crowd. I assumed they were socializing off to the side.
“Ditchin’ YOUR party to fuck? Now *That’s* my nephew!” He cheered.
“Oh gods damn it Xaxas.” Tyson complained with a facepalm. “Cut it out.” His kingly order was chuckled at.
“My babies are all grown up! It isn’t fair!” Screamed a sorrowful female voice… likely his mother.
“Little wildflower, leave the young lovers be.” Said his father.
“But-” She was cut off.
“Sister.” Hissed the Lord of the Dead. “Sorry,” He said without hissing that time. “Let them have their fun.”
“Yeah, let the soggy blanket get w-” Yelled Xaxas, being cut off… Maybe I was worried… for nothing?
“Leave my pup alone; can’t you see he’s red as a tomato?” Said his father, the one of middle height. “Ignore us, I’m just happy tonight my children finally find their mate.”
“Y’all are making it weird!” Yelled a female. I didn’t see where she was, but I did know that three 6ft tall women had almost flaming hair at the end, likely the mates of the princes…
“Harmony’s right! I’ll kick you all out if you keep it up!” Complained Tyson. I doubt he heard me with their teasing. He picked up his pace… and carried me close to his chest… My cheeks Heated up!
“I’d like to see you try! WOOO! The stick in the mud’s caught himself a unicorn. Happy Mother Fucking birthday kid!” Yelled the Realm King drinking an entire bottle of wine by himself, though, it fit in his hand like a canned soda….
“You’re banned from any more alcohol you drunk.” Laughed Tyson.
I had a feeling that maybe I was worried for nothing. “You both pissed me off so bad you *should* be thanking me, but what do I get? Threats.” He humphed like a small child.
“We’ll meet back up at 3 tomorrow!” Shouted his mom; King Xaxas was ignored. “Is that enough time? What am I saying, of course it isn’t.” She grumbled. “If it isn’t just text us!”
“3’s fine mom.” He shouted; the flame between his horns flickered like a candle that wouldn’t go out. Tyson…. He was so red from embarrassment, I thought he’d die from it. “…. Please Ignore my family… They *mean* well.” He said shaking his head, saying the first part loud enough for them to hear. “Thank you, Uncle Xaxas.”
“Thank mother!” He shouted.
I nodded shyly. My heart raced now for a different reason… The mark is literally a wedding ring for all to see… I could feel it pulsing, encouraging the next part… the mating. With my body like this, it was what I wanted…
“I was thinking we could just retire for now.” He said this casually, but I could scent him too… he was just as aroused as I was.
“I want to do that… but I want to finish the ceremony. There’s no point to beat around the bush and wait if we’re already marked…” I said honestly… also I wanted to seal this. We were made to be together… There is only ONE mate. Others may mark as they please, but there is only one soulmate… I didn’t even know I had one, but now that I did, I want to spend my eternal life with him.
