Chapter 60
                    Samira
I Knew I was asleep, but I wasn’t dreaming. I was following the great Flaming One… How I wound up walking behind him, and how he didn’t see me… I wouldn’t know.
But I *did* know where he was…. Mother’s castle… He was visiting Allister.
He walked into the throne room, but unlike my brother, he held court at night… The ceiling of the sky was the Dairy Way… meaning he used magic to show off that he’d finally gotten mother’s powers…
Why did she give it to *him?*
I’d forgiven him for his mistreatment and his actions… but I feel like he was still too childish to run an entire people… He was controlling and petty…
“You know what I am here for.” Said Eternya. “My master is not one for patience.”
“I hope you *choke* on it.” He said taking off a ring and tossing it to him. “My people already kneel to the All King. The Tyrant is a fucking monster, and I won’t be the reason for my race’s extinction.”
“Good boy.” Said Eternya, melting it in his hands into a small disk, and with a claw he drew the Scales of Judgment…. It looked… actually pretty intricate. It looked like something father would make. “Fashion this into a ring, master’s orders.”
“Why does he only bring the hammer to the unicorns?” Allister hissed.
“Because of your Fucking Incompetence.” Hissed Eternya. “You are no match for even the *lowest^ of the master’s generals. He does not wish for the realm hoppers or whatever they’re called to appear here, and you’re too WEAK to protect your OWN kingdom without his aid.” Lord Eternya flicked the makeshift coin to him, and it imbedded itself in the throne… destroying the top half instantly.
The explosion and shockwave from such a casual action made my brother scream. Had my brother not had his head bowed in respect, it would have been popped like a balloon…..
“Be lucky you do not know the taste of your own shit. Your attitude would have had me stuff your intestines in your mouth.”
Allister sat in what remained of grandfather’s throne…. Just the seat and legs.
“The master also has a request. You’re a unclaimed dog with a collar now, be a good one, and fetch him the Sheild of Uriel.”
“WHAT?!”
“You heard me. Hurry up.” Hissed Eternya.
“THAT IS NOT MINE TO GIVE!” Panicked Allister. “The Night Court steals my youngest sister…now you want artifacts?!”
A fireball was made in Eternya’s hand.
The condescending glare was fierce, but seeing the stone melt under his feet made me kneel… and I *know* they didn’t see me….
“I am the son of the Eternal Volcano. I will make this place *ash*, even the stone, and bring it to his majesty anyway. You have until I get bored.”
And that wasn’t very long by his expression. My brother panicked seeing Eternya walk slowly toward him.
“5….4….”
“Fuck! Alright!” He scrambled to pull the throne up, and underneath the seat was a large box. “Here.” He slid the box to Eternya’s feet, but the Bird King was not satisfied.
“You’re *blessed* by all the gods that he told me not to kill you.” He said taking the box and leaving….
I didn’t fully understand why they wanted it if the ring is supposed to give him more power… but I DO know that grandfather was able to go toe-to-toe with Xaxas…
Uriel couldn’t defeat him, but the First Unicorn was a threat. All the generals of the Realm King that met him on the battle field were defeated. He was so skilled that he was killed and forced out the war in the old times…. Maybe… maybe they worry Allister might summon him. It was said that the shield if fed enough energy could theoretically revive him…
But what were they doing to warrant taking such a thing?
I saw him leave by bursting into flames and destroying the window behind Allister. The sprinklers ruined the carpets and drapes were too heavy to stay on the walls….
“What a fucking failure of a king.” He growled looking at his reflection. One of the large chunks of glass became covered in frustration tears. “It’s safe to come out… he’s gone.”
“Husband… .you do your best.” Said Katiya, Allister’s wife. She came into the throne room, and he chuckled dryly.
“I do not want this. I never did… ”
“Oh my… I sent you to the wrong event.” Said a sweet voice. “Sorry!”
The glowing silver woman had to be the Moon Goddess. She had white hair and silver eyes… her skin was as shiny as a coin, and her light blue dress sparkled.
“What am I seeing?” I asked looking at the servants start to clean.
“Of all the Kings, both awake and asleep… Allister is the weakest. An artifact so powerful must be accounted for, especially since the Fae Queen handles the last of the realm jumpers… They don’t know what’s on this world, but it hasn’t been pillaged, so I’m helping find any stray portals and anyone she misses. I know there’s at least 3.”
“I have a feeling when his majesty gets his claws on them…. They’re going to regret coming here.” I mumbled.
“Want to help me look?” She asked. “I don’t fight, so I’m just marking the spot if I find them.”
“That sounds fun.” I smiled.
“This *is* going to be fun!” She clapped excitedly. “Oh, and as a reward for helping, I’ll have some brownies delivered. Would you like that little one?” She pet my head like you would a small kid….
The Moon Goddess is unlike anyone in the Night Court…Unlike the others, she smelled and scented like holy magic… it’s said that Lunar magic is incompatible with Solar magic.
“Oh my goodness, I LOVE sweets!” I beamed.
“Do… do you *really* want to switch to *my* powers?” She asked hearing me. She sounded so touched, yet saddened. “…I … I have hardly anything to give compared to my father… but you belong to my husband… I know he won’t mind.”
“I do... I am a member of your court Night Mother…. Please change me. I feel like I’ll do better fully transformed.” I said seeing her smile wider.
That infectious smile came with a hug. It forced me to shift the moment she touched me… and she squealed.
“Ah! You’re so soft!” She beamed… She sat on top of my back.
[…Thank you?]
“Let’s go!” We teleported to look for the new intruders to our realm, and I knew I was dreaming. I felt light as air.
