Chapter 68

Tyson
Their admiration for me…. I could see it slowly become horror… and fear….
It became silent in our ferocity….
I smelled Fear, the fear of at least twenty thousand people, as the seats were full on the first 10 rows…. How my mouth began to water…
How the world around me was turning red.
The fire we breathed scorched all it touched… Kaizen’s crimson lightning made him tired, and my claws began to glow a dull orange….
They sizzled his skin…. I could see the flesh burn as it flayed, and the scent of burning flesh …. It excited me…
My blood boiled and burned me too…. But it seemed that encouraged my growing insanity.
But we kept exchanging heavy blows. Both of us were getting tired, yet neither of us would back down. Both of us had too much to lose.
If I lost, Kaizen *will* kill Samira… It would be his right, and none would stop him… I don’t care about the Kingdom… It means nothing if I lose the one person who doesn’t think of me as a zealot…
[You could have surrendered, and I would have freed your mark mate.] I growled, feeling conflicted….
[She’s my true mate.] He snapped at me, nearly getting my paw.
[I Just can’t see the gods doing that.] I snarled.
That isn’t his mate, and she plays her cards well…
[Ther’s a lot you can’t fucking see!] He said ramming me as hard as he could. We bounced off each other, shaking the loose dirt and mud around us. It sloshed underfoot, but we still did not stop.
Our horns became locked with another bone shattering bash… and neither of us could get free. We pushed each other, trying to gore the other brother… It was now or never.
If I broke his neck, he’d lose… but I was having trouble getting the grip and leverage I needed to finish it. His footing was slightly better, since the dirt was a little dryer were he was.
I struggled, but managed to get a little better footing…. If I slip, he will kill me. I felt myself losing control… I felt myself not really fighting the primal instincts that slowly welled up inside…
I would be a monster to finish this… A Monster the Other Monsters feared….
The ceiling shattered, and there was a small earthquake that came with it. It was all so fast I couldn’t see who or what had done that, but we found out nearly instantly.
[WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!] Screamed Grace, headbutting us both at the same time. The impact of her equal sized frame forced us to stagger in opposite directions, freeing us. Grace was the female version of us, though unlike most she wolves, she is the same height and weight as us…
…. When did she grow?
I don’t remember her getting that tall, or weighing *that* much….
[GET THE FUCK OUT THE WAY!] I screamed, but with Aureus behind her, and his full size, this fight would be 3 on one…. He had to have his head slightly bowed to fit…
He snarled something in draconic, but he uses words I don’t know…. I had no idea what he actually said, other than it likely being shit talk.
I shifted, pointing a finger at him. “I don’t understand draconic, but Lord Aureus, you Trespass.”
Aureus shifted, becoming a golden-tan skinned, golden haired man. “For my mate’s happiness, you have no idea how far I’ll go to see her smile.” he snarled.
“Move.” I sneered, though Aureus was obviously not intimidated by my words, being a fellow king and demigod.
“Childish Boy.” The King of the Sky spat. “How many of My people killed their own on mass! How many sided with the master, sundering all life, all living things, with no remorse or regard for anything unbranded by them during the war?!”
“If it is childish to want justice, If you want to fight me, so be it.” I summoned my sword, and he his fan… My shield, Skullsmasher held grandfather’s crest on it while Backbiter’s runes now carried different runes.
… and all our weapons pulsed in each other’s presence.
Kaizen looked winded just holding his glowing bow however, and my sword gently rested in the bloody mud.
Grace had her staff. “I will not let you fight my mate.” She snarled.
Aureus’s summoned fan was threateningly opened. “I will not allow my mate to be marred.” It looked to be made of gold, like his scales…. Aureus was made of literal gold … it very well may have.
This fight was going to be bloodier than I doubt anyone could imagine.
Kaizen closed his eyes…. And I did too…
I prayed someone would stop me… I will not on my own… I cannot….
I can’t fight Grace too. She has done nothing wrong, and it would make war with the dragons to kill Aureus…
I could scent it… We are not equals. I am stronger than him, since I am of Horned One’s blood….If I used my powers, I could reap this entire arena in about 2 minutes.
They won’t even have a chance to escape… That thought made me hungry.
“You should evacuate the mortals.” Kaizen sneered. “I doubt you want innocent lives on Your hands as well. Believe me when I tell you it weighs on your heart.”
“Tyson, you go too far.” Growled Grace.
“Do you think you can take 3 demigods?” Asked Aureus. The Wind Goddess, a lesser goddess was his mother… His abilities wouldn’t be as powerful as we three children of Bryson… yet at the same time, I’m tired.
I wondered how well I’d fair…
I could feel my pupils glow… That happened a while ago, but seeing us three stare at each other with the same hostility was a little surreal… I never thought I’d have to raise my claws at Grace too.
