Chapter 89

Tyson
\[I don’t even have a Fucking Name!\] He screamed.
\[All the better to be forgotten!\] Snarled Uriel.
I saw the glint of his speed….
He was taking that demigod by himself… He shifted as a man to fight him in the sky…with a single sword. No shield.
May we never cross blades. I am no match.
I blacked out.
“Die.” Uriel said simply, striking him with a bolt of pure light.
The ground below became cracked dust before being covered with water again… it was so hot the water boiled. The steam rose at least 40 feet in the air before it cooled.
The shake of the earth was enough to keep me awake.
“WHAT IS THIS?!” Contradiction screamed.
“The trivial blessing of my angered master.” Said Uriel.
“Why does it not turn to darkness?!” He shouted confused.
“That which is truly pure cannot be tainted.” He said with a horse snort. “Purify the water.” Uriel commanded, looking at Rodrick.
“Aye old friend. Sorry to drag you into all this.” He said sheepishly, becoming covered in robes like you see on the Holy Seat, though his big hat had a glowing halo around the top of it.
Rodrick had a brass incense cleanser ball on a chain in one hand, and a brush for holy sanctification on the other….
All the water was purified by the man King…
All I could focus on now was its bite.
The great flashes from Uriel… They are something else. His might and conviction cut through his foe like butter… He activates instincts I’ve Never Felt Before.
Amazing.
A reminder that I am not one of them… I may be a purer child, but I am still a child of Night.
The Light does not discriminate.
I saw an arm plumet to the ground with a flash of light.
I saw my brother and sister and her mate offer things to add to his bow… I could offer not much, but the last of my life force is his.
\[Mine… too.\] I said with every ounce of air I had. So long as I can hold on a little longer… my sword won’t shatter.
I must not die yet.
“Father Below… Give my aim truth, and my magic wonder to show this world your might.” He said letting go.
Behind it was pure darkness, and its outline was red lightning… It made no sound.
\[May you shoot true\] I said knowing damn well I couldn’t be heard. I gasped.
**Thunder**
I know he got him. The water rippled as it started to evaporate.
The only reason why I wasn’t dead with no blood… no liver… and nonfunctioning lungs was the curse of Contradiction…
I think angels and demons were summoned to collect us…. But there was a falling out as I predicted.
“We weep for the Sons of the Sun, but this world is his wife. Forgive us for the pain we bring you, Lady Lia.” He said tossing the head to an angel. Someone else took his body, but they made sure to keep them separate…
Black as well as white flowers grew, and cactus’s made fruit instantly, radiating from Contradiction’s dying place….for miles as far as the eye could see, the petals rained like black and white confetti in the wind…. The air was sweet and holy, but one could also smell the scent of Tarteron itself from our powers….
I could feel Kaizen’s shadow approach as I closed my eyes again. I thought the curse would lift, but it seemed I was still here to endure.
The boom of thunder rumbled the water and split the earth when he landed slowly….. All the water was gone now… and so was his torch holding arm.
Since his arms had to be removed, he did not die… but those who saw the might of us working together looked with genuine concern….
Uriel landed, and he shook his glittering hair. “Die.” He said simply.
He cut off his head. I saw that much, and I saw it be tossed to an angel…
None of us said anything, because we’d never seen anything like that. The original Kings did... they lived it… but as Uriel approached me, I could feel every fiber of my being cringe. He was a warrior only my Uncle could best…..
That was why Xaxas murdered him so thoroughly, that he couldn’t come back with the Champion’s blessing…
I am laid so low I can’t lift my head, yet, as a man I at least tried. If I use magic I might….
It took the God of Judgment to slay him, a man made of literal purity.
“I am Uriel, the Glittering One…. First Unicorn…. Lesser Champion of Lord Arviel.” He said sternly. “I thank you, young ones for your aid.” He smiled, radiating a little light passively…
That burns too.
The coils grew tighter… they lashed my insides that their master was dead… but since they were a physical thing, they still grew.
“I am Prince Kaizen, Son of Birrai’shivaal, God of Justice, Retribution, and Punishment, grandson of Zuviel. At my left is my sister, Grace, behind me is my brother, Standing King Tyson of the Wolves, and brother in law Aureus, the Mighty One, Dragon King, Son of Saiyatok and Goddess Freeya…. And Diana Queen of the Fae.”
That was good… I… I lifted my head up a bit.
Uriel hummed. “So the rumors of the Wind Goddess is true, though….I have not met the Last-Born Prince of Hell. If he is anything like his children, he is welcome at my side.”
“Get up Herculian.” Uriel hissed.
“I’m dying.” He said weakly, until there was a popped ear sound “OW!”  he complained like it didn’t hurt. It probably didn’t… he’s the demigod of strength….
**I don’t like Uriel.**
I don’t know *why*, but it might be instinct. He smells like sweet gasoline, and testosterone.
And Like Asanguis before his godhood... a Reaper.
AH! THAT MAN IS MY IN-LAW!
What’s with his glare?
No… NO!!!!
HE LOOKS LIKE HE HEARS ME!
This isn’t Fair!
He kind of gave me the ‘you’re a pup, I’ll let it slide’ look.
Oh shit he *definitely hears me…* I’m too weak to mask myself.
*NOOOO!!!*
Everyone hears me then….
/Like… I Know I do./ Linked Grace…. /Don’t worry brother. Kaizen’s too distracted on your behalf./
/Kill me now./ I joked. /I’m ready/ If I could lean back like a Victorian painting, I would.
/Drama king./ She almost rolled her eyes.
I sighed. There’s always time for jests. I don’t want her to worry about me too much.
/That’s sweet./ she said honestly.
Oh I HATE being heard!!
This FUCKING SUCKS!
/Shut Up!!!! LET ME BE DRAMATIC/
/nuuuuu. Hehehehe!/ she linked this to tease me!
/I’m telling mom./ I joked.
“Mmhmm. Let the Son of Hell be…. I’m sure he isn’t as soft as me anyway.” Uriel joked. I’m sure he heard the whole thing.
“You won’t let me touch you.” Herculian complained.
“Naturally.” Said Uriel.
My head was laid in the flowers, and someone pet me.
\[Who’s petting me…? stop it.\] I Growled …..
That’s *Weird!*
Though, Herculian’s tears rained on me. There was honest regret for dragging me into this.
“I hardly got to know you wolf, yet I shed tears for your sake.” Said Herculian… The enormous man sounded defeated. Now that Contradiction was dead, he recovered somewhat. “There is no more noble thing than to die for a good cause….”
He’s not wrong…. But I would like that sooner than later. This body is done and must go to be reforged….
I can’t get around that.
…. damn…. That also means Samira will feel the pain of losing me.
I should have been more careful….
I should have listened to Jerold and Eskaal… They warned me.
