Chapter 57

“Well… I guess let’s summon my father.” I mumbled. “Thank you again.”
“When mom called, I knew I had to help.” She smiled. “Tyson didn’t even have to come, but he did at the drop of a hat… If this can help them, I would do it a thousand times.”
“But your master won’t be angry, will he?” Asked Zack.
“I had permission to be here before Zadie helped me teleport.”
“Wait don’t you live in Europe?” Asked Zack.
“Yeah. I moved to Romania after me and Zayde married, but Yellow’s castle is ready to move into. Gods organizing all those boxes are a nightmare.” She smiled. “Oh, the fire’s ready. Go ahead young master.”
“Alpha is fine.” I complained. Dark Witches and all marked by father, or my brothers, tend to faithfully call me ‘master’. I hate it. I know I’m not a werewolf, I’ve known that for *years*, but I don’t want this power…. I only use it as a means to an end.
The smoke and fire bellowed. “As someone who said they didn’t want to be a god, you sure are doing godly business.” Said Xaxas. He was also his true height and form… however he was not like he usually is. “Such Low behavior, doing *mortal’s* work.” He growled.
Right now, he came to me as the God of Judgment speaking to Justice…. Not a casual, carefree brother…
He’d warned me about this in passing once… That in regards to godly affairs, there is no blood… He does not see this world as I do, a god raised like a mortal. By his wording a Herold at most was supposed to do this on my behalf….
“What are *you* doing here? I was trying to summon father.” I hissed.
He glared at me, so much so that it forced me to bow my head. “Interesting that *now* you wish to speak to him Justice.” He said my title… not my name. “You don’t truly understand your folly little godling, so let me teach you.”
“Just because you’re older doesn-” He cut me off with swift correction… Like what an Alpha does to an out of line subordinate….
He soundlessly teleported and grabbed the top of my head. I cannot feel pain… yet this was legitimately painful. The next part he said in godspeach.
“You’re going to let your kids grow the fuck up, and end this shit themselves.” He hissed in my ear. “That’s the advice. Here’s the lesson.” We teleported again.
This time we were in Hell, though his realm.
His realm is also mostly empty, though he’s killed billions. They built in his name a formidable black gothic castle and the platform we stood on. His realm was made to judge. He sat high atop a large throne, while underneath us was a large square altar. Besides the throne and the giant stone platform, in the center was a red portal to throw the souls in.
… There was actually an endless line of them; all souls from all worlds who had yet to be Judged became separated from us with a soundproof barrier. They could not see nor hear our conversation…..
He only gets those meant for here though, even the Layer 1 candidates… The other two thrones that appeared, were empty. One was meant for an 11 foot god… the other was meant for a 10 foot one… and now…..
Now father appeared in the one from his throne room, but I did not recognize the Void King…
He was… only blackness.
A silhouette…..
There were no features other than glowing red eyes, yet his presence was not felt. A black barrier around himself contained the black smoke that radiated off him.
“When you summon a god, you take away your familiarity.” Xaxas didn’t react to this. He merely sat on his throne, looking down on me. “Don’t take this personally Justice, but you meddle, and you poke at the plans of One. As Three, I *must* stop you.”
“Then why don’t you help them?!” I yelled. “You don’t know what it’s like to-”
“I don’t give two rats fucking in a parking lot Birrai’shivaal about how you *feel* with your mortal mentality. Grow the Fuck Up.”
“What happened to being a godling.” I said crossing my arms. Xaxas looked like I was pushing him… Why did his hostility grow so fast, and so great?
Why was father here, but not acknowledging my words?
“Aye, you *should* still be on mother’s milk quite literally, but you hold a*grown* man’s form and mind. As an Adult God, You have no excuse; they do.” He crossed his arms. “They are *mortals*. You are NOT. That means they must deal with their own shit. I’ve lived, I don’t know… after dinosaurs, but before man? Trust the fucking process and stop questioning us.”
“You turned 29 million yesterday; you were born in the Paleogene Period. Apolis was off by several million last time someone said your age, but that hot head was making trouble that day.” Said father casually…. An impossible amount of time. No supernatural that I knew of was *that* old….
“Thank you for the clarification…. I was wrong too… damn.” He mumbled.
“It is only natural. For a god a million years is only a year in age until you reach 20.. then you stop. If I have told mortals any different, it is to try to dampen how much greater even my son is to them.”
Xaxas nodded…. I don’t know how I knew… but the Horned One was only really here to see this personally…. His face was neutral in his anger.
“You don’t tell me anything.” I hissed at only Xaxas, as father was to be treated as if he wasn’t here. Again, I had no idea how I just knew that. “They are my sons. You watched them grow up. Surely that means *something*.”
“It means *little*. Let them be *men*. You coddle them. They will learn *nothing* from your meddling.”
“They plan to kill each other! What *lesson* is gained from one brother killing the other.” I couldn’t hold my snarl. It was like he couldn’t see the contradiction!
You can’t learn anything if you’re fucking dead!
“Disrespect me a-fucking-gain Little Godling.” He said completely offended… the roar of his voice as he stood made his flames flick like mine. “I See that *you* are the contradiction! You are Justice, My Fucking Second and I can’t get you to do SHIT!”
“Fuck You! I never Asked for any of th-!” I screamed back, being cut off.
I am Four… I guess the equivalent to a Gamma getting out of line with their Beta… for questioning Alpha’s orders. Ven acting up was taken to offence.
He’d just warned me… He warned me that I was not his brother in this throne room before… As a god, there is very little leniency in regards to respect… Xaxas does not see bloodlines as I do…
I was raised mortal… I have mortal emotions and hold a mortal life, much more so than him… He plays pretend… I live it.
That is the difference between Justice and Judgment. Urth is my homeland, not ‘just the place I was born’ in his words… My realm holds no meaning compared to even a pack member….
A blue portal appeared, but my brother stood next to me thankfully.
“Elder brother, I am with Birrai’shivaal.” Hissed Asanguis. “They will go to far, and you have seen what happens when twin demigods are at odds…”
“You Hiss?” Boomed Xaxas. “You come here and Hiss at ME?”
Asanguis bowed at Xaxas’s harsh tone.
“Forgive me. I am upset.” He hissed. “So much so that I cannot undo this…. And as Death… I humbly request intervention. I do not wish to reap the planet.”
Xaxas…. He is Off….Hostile…. Agitated. Nothing like his usual self…
“That won’t happen.” Said Xaxas dismissively.
“It seems… father hides this.” Said Asanguis with folded arms. “Urth is Arviel’s wife. If our nephews kill each other, the loser will come back and kill the mate of his brother…” He waved his hand, and a blue disk of magic showed the future…. “Surely you know of this.”
Tyson kills Kaizen by summoning his sword and beheading him, while not in control ironically enough…
