Chapter 16 Romantic, Lover's Return
A clear and pleasant voice sounded behind her. She turned around and looked up.
A figure in white stood beside her, with a handsome and refined face. His eyes gleamed like stars as he gazed at her, and his thin lips curved into a gentle smile.
"Senior William!"
Elena called out happily, her eyes filled with astonishment.
"See, I didn't lie to you, did I? You troublemaker. Alright, you two can talk, I'll go have a chat with the dormitory aunt so she won't bother you."
"Hehe, do you have time to have a cup of coffee together?"
"Sure, I have plenty of time."
Elena finished speaking and realized she may have been too obvious.
But she was truly delighted in her heart. She didn't expect William Spencer to actually come back and visit her in person.
The café was located in a corner of the campus, with several rows of simple wooden tables and small round chairs in an European style, simple yet stylish.
A cup of light cappuccino was placed in front of Elena. She took a sip, just like three years ago.
Elena occasionally lifted her gaze, silently taking in William's appearance. After three years, he had become even more handsome. When she first met him, he was studying to become a doctor.
At that time, he was indifferent and distant, while she, in the presence of medical students, always carried a sense of divine awe.
"Elena, how have you been these years?"
William's handsome face always had a gentle and elegant smile, which made Elena feel a bit absent-minded.
"I've been alright, Senior William. How about you? How have you been in America these past years?"
"Hmm, not too good!"
"Not too good? Why?" Elena asked, puzzled.
William smiled mysteriously. "Three years ago, I fell deeply in love with a girl. However, I wasn't sure if she liked me back, so I decided to let time test us."
Elena felt slightly disappointed. "Senior William, do you have someone you like?"
"Hmm!" William slightly smirked, his smile always radiant.
Elena's mood darkened, but she didn't show it on her face. "Who is it then?"
"Hehe, it's a secret for now!"
Suddenly, Elena felt very sad. She bit her lip and it took a while before she changed the topic.
"So, when do you plan to return to America, Senior William?"
"I'm not going back! I plan to stay in Canada and take over my father's hospitals."
"Isn't there more potential abroad?"
Although Mayo Clinic was the best private hospital in the city, it still couldn't compare to foreign countries.
William chuckled. "For her, I won't leave. Youth is something that can't be wasted for too many years. We only have so much of it left, after all."
