Chapter 72 Overbearing Contract

"Unreasonable? You played tricks behind my back, secretly went to England, and I haven't held you accountable yet. And now, you dare to shout at me for being unreasonable?"

This woman was truly heartless. Did she have any regard for him at all?

She often caused trouble, and he always cleaned up the mess for her. Not only was she ungrateful, but she also turned around and blamed him, taking advantage of him while tarnishing his reputation.

"If you hadn't restricted my freedom and locked me up, why would I have secretly gone to England?"

Elena was extremely angry, trying her best to control herself, but as soon as she spoke to him, she couldn't help but vent her frustration.

Suddenly, Hassan forcefully grabbed her chin, his sharp gaze locked onto her eyes.

"Listen, woman, when we signed that contract, you willingly agreed to it. I didn't force you, threaten you, or deceive you. It was clearly written in black and white- you will be my lover for one hundred days. Have you forgotten? Or do you want to deny it?”

Elena stared at him with wide eyes and said firmly, “The contract doesn’t mention you having the right to restrict my freedom!”

“It doesn’t? Noura! Bring the contract!” Hassan roared with a deep voice.

Noura quickly replied and hurriedly brought the contract over, respectfully placing it in front of Hassan.

Hassan threw the contract in front of Elena.

Coldly, he pointed his finger at the words on it and said, “Take a look, don’t tell me you can’t read!”

When Elena signed the contract at that time, she was in a hurry and didn’t take a careful look. The situation was urgent, and she couldn't afford to study it carefully.

Now she regretted it. Her eyes caught the first line of the contract: "During the contract period, Party B must unconditionally obey Party A's arrangements and never go against Party A's will, unless Party A voluntarily terminates the contract."

Party A was Hassan, and Party B was Elena.

Unconditionally obey his arrangements! Even if he asked her to die or commit crimes, she couldn't disobey!

"Hassan, this contract is unfair, you've gone too far!"

"Unfair!"

Hassan gritted his teeth, his grip tightening, and Elena's eyes welled up with tears from the pain.

"Unfair? I risked my life and the lives of my subordinates to save your sister from hell just to spend one hundred days with you as my lover. And now you're saying it's unfair? Where do you get the confidence from?

"Why do you think your 100 days are more important than my brothers' lives?" Hassan's eyes turned red, almost shooting flames. For Annie, he had made enemies and lost billions of dollars in business, enough to change women every day for several years.

And she just scolded him for restricting her actions.

"You..." Elena was at a loss for words. Though she was angry, she couldn't find a reason to refute him. "Hassan, you're ruthless. If I had carefully read this contract, I would have never signed it."

Hassan let go, adjusted his suit, and leaned back on the sofa, coldly smiling.

"If you had another choice, you wouldn't have come to me. You're not a child anymore. We're all adults, and we're responsible for the contracts we sign."

Elena stared at the remaining fifty plus days on the contract. Okay, she would endure it!

She angrily threw the contract on the table and turned to Hassan, saying, "Just fifty days. It will be over soon."

Hassan raised the glass in his hand and gestured towards Elena. "You better hope I get tired of you soon, then these fifty days won't be necessary."

As he watched Elena's charming figure run upstairs, Hassan's eyes remained fixed on the date written on the contract.

Fifty days already?

He couldn't believe that over a month had passed since they had been together. Why didn't he feel anything?

He had done everything for her, and if she didn't appreciate it, that was one thing. But her eyes, filled with deep disgust towards him, left him feeling unsatisfied.

With a loud crash, the wine glass that had been in his hand shattered on the floor.

He had a luxurious and magnificent palace, yet he couldn't capture her heart. In front of her, he experienced failure time and time again.

Hassan's restlessness worried Noura greatly, but she could only watch from afar and dare not say anything.

"Bring me some wine!" Hassan rubbed his temples, tiredly saying.

Noura immediately brought out the best bottle of brandy. She knew that when her master was in a bad mood, he liked to drink strong alcohol.

Hassan drank a glass and stared at Noura. "Are you laughing at me?"

"No, master, I'm not laughing!" Noura was a bit puzzled. Even if she had the courage, she wouldn't dare laugh when her master was in a bad mood.

"Why are women's thoughts so difficult to understand?"

Noura thought to herself, "Master, aren't you referring to Miss Walker?"

"Actually, if you change your perspective, master, things might improve."

"Change my perspective?"

"Women like men who accommodate them," Noura hinted subtly.

Hassan forcefully placed his wine glass down and furrowed his brows. "You want me to accommodate a woman? Noura, have you lost your mind? What a foolish idea! Get out of here."

Noura lowered her head and quickly exited. Her master's temper made it difficult to have a conversation about Miss Walker.

Miss Walker and Noura got along well. In the bedroom, Elena sat on the sofa, hugging her knees, lost in thought. Noura came in with a glass of juice and walked up to Elena, placing the juice on the table.

"Miss Walker, you haven't been looking well these past few days. This apple juice is good for your complexion," Noura said.

Elena picked up the juice and gave Noura a grateful look. "Noura, thank you."

Noura smiled. "It's the least I can do, Miss Walker. No need to be polite."

Elena suddenly furrowed her brows, bit her lip, and grabbed Noura's hand. "Noura, I'm really sorry about last time. I didn't mean to harm you. I was just missing my sister so much that I felt compelled to distract you. Hassan punished you severely for this, didn't he?"

That beast, Hassan, was too ruthless. People like Noura, who had followed him for so many years, serving him day and night, deserved some consideration. But he had been so harsh to them.

Noura's face remained calm as she smiled. "No, he didn't!"

"What?" Elena was surprised by Noura's answer.

"The master didn't punish me." Noura's reply was unexpected for Elena.

"Why? Are you afraid I would be upset if I knew?"

"No, it's because the master himself suggested that I take you home, so he had no reason to blame me."

"He asked you to take me home? That's impossible! He clearly had a stern expression and refused me decisively."

Noura's eyes sparkled, and her calm smile showed no signs of deception. "Miss Walker, after spending so much time with the master, you should understand his character. He may act tough, but he has a soft side. How could he bear to see you sad? In fact, after you disappeared from S City, he canceled all the business meetings and rushed to Britain with Nabil. Can't you feel how much he cares for you?"

Noura finished calmly, while Elena stared at her with a puzzled look. "If what you say is true, then why won't he let me go?"

"That's because he thinks you are safer here."

"Safer? That's a joke! I lived a peaceful life until I met him. How am I suddenly unsafe?"

"Alright, Noura, that's enough!" Elena interrupted, sounding somewhat annoyed. "You always defend your master and speak highly of him."

Elena finished the juice, realizing that she was gradually starting to like everything in this house- the large bed, the spacious bathroom, the delicious food, the tasty juice, and Noura's attentive care.

Humans are creatures who easily lose themselves in luxury and wealth.

No, she couldn't continue like this.

Elena decided to please Hassan again, but she felt that no matter what she did, she couldn't change his mind when he had made a decision.

Fifty days, still fifty days! Oh my! Why were there still so many days left?

In the following three days, Elena and Hassan's relationship reached a stalemate.

After their big fight on the day she returned from England, Elena decided to ignore him, and Hassan refused to make amends either.

They sat at the same table but completely ignored each other. It was a strange scene.

He waited for her to regret and apologize to him, while she waited for his conscience to kick in and for him to change his ways.

"Noura, give her the caviar sushi!"

Noura placed the caviar sushi in front of Elena, who picked it up and tossed it in the trash bin beside the table.

"I don't like caviar." Elena turned her head away, refusing to look at him.

"Prepare another portion of caviar for her to eat!"

"Yes, master!" Noura replied respectfully and soon brought another plate of caviar from the kitchen.

Reluctantly, Elena ate the caviar under Hassan's dictatorship.

Damn tyrant!

Elena glared at him in anger, but he wiped his mouth casually with a napkin, stood up, adjusted his suit, and walked out confidently with an obvious sense of satisfaction.

Elena resorted to scraping the plate with her fork, creating sharp scraping sounds.

In the evening, after a busy day, Hassan returned home. He glanced casually around the living room but couldn't find Elena. He paused, turned around, and walked upstairs to the bedroom. To his surprise, the large bed was empty.

His forehead creased slightly, and he hastened back downstairs to the living room. "Where is she?"

Noura understood her master's frustration. "Master, Miss Walker is sleeping in the guest room. She said she will sleep there from now on."

Damn it, was she trying to confront him to the end?

He admitted that the day had been terrible. He had been in a foul mood the whole day at the office, and everything seemed to go wrong. It was frustrating!

And now, he had to deal with her temper at home?

After hearing Noura's words, Hassan headed straight to the guest room on the first floor. He reached for the door but found it locked.

Noura could tell from her master's expression that trouble was brewing, so she hurriedly approached and knocked on the door.

"Miss Walker, open the door. The master is back."

They called and called, but there was no response from inside. It seemed that Elena was intentionally defying him to the end.

"Move aside!" Hassan pushed Noura aside and kicked the door heavily.

Startled, Noura stepped back and dared not approach anymore.
