Chapter 38 The Demon Strikes
Perhaps then, she could start anew with William…
No, she couldn't!
She had become impure, she was not worthy of William, and she did not want his image of her to collapse.
After a moment, Elena looked up, smiling at him.
"William, may I ask you a question?"
"Go ahead."
"If the girl lying in the hospital bed today was not Annie, but me... what would you think?"
William hesitated slightly, "Elena, why would you ask such a question? Don't you trust me? If you were my girlfriend, I would never let something like that happen to you."
Elena suddenly chuckled, "Never mind, I was just asking."
"Elena, I don't know what I did wrong. But I am willing to wait for the day you change your mind."
Faced with William Wenbin's devotion, Elena felt her heart melting.
Suddenly, her phone rang again.
Elena felt inexplicably nervous, with Hassan's devilish face appearing in her mind.
"I'm sorry, William, I have something to do, I have to go."
Elena hurriedly merged into the crowd. After a while, she opened her phone and glanced at it.
Thank goodness, it was just a notification for unpaid bills!
It wasn't him!
That jerk! He'd given her a psychological trauma.
Elena wiped the cold sweat off her forehead and hurriedly walked into the crowd, not daring to look back. She could imagine the hurt expression on William's face.
Her heart was in pain, and she quickly escaped.
"Miss, Miss..."
Elena turned around, that woman was persistently following her.
Elena stopped. "What else do you want? I've already compensated you!"
The woman smiled ingratiatingly, stuttering, "Miss, my name is Kim. That incident the other day, it was actually a misunderstanding. I took my car for repairs and it didn't cost much. Here's the money, I'll give it back to you!"
Kim's heavy makeup was smudged on her face, revealing a makeup disaster.
Elena frowned and pushed Kim's hand away. "Forget it, I don't want it. If you want to return it, give it to Hassan!"
"No, no, Miss, you must accept it. Please do us a favor and speak well of us in front of Mr. Al-Farouk, help us get some business."
On the busy street, the two women pushed against each other like this.
"Stop!"
A low shout came from a tall, dark figure that casted Elena into their shadow, and forcefully pushed Kim away.
Kim stumbled and nearly fell, turning back only to see Hassan. She was so scared she lost her soul.
The angry words that were about to come out of her mouth instantly turned into fear.
"Hello, Mr. Al-Farouk, it's nice to finally meet you. My husband's name is Richard Stanley, and I would greatly appreciate it if you could help with his company matters."
Hassan didn't even bother to look at her and instead put his arm around Elena's shoulder. His dark and handsome face showed a hint of both genuine and fake anger.
"You have some nerve to dare to turn off the phone."
"It wasn't me who turned it off, it's just unpaid bills. I'll go pay it now."
Elena wiped away her sweat. This man, does he even have a brain? It was the mobile company's choice, nothing to do with her.
"You, recharge her number with 500,000 dollars, then disappear quickly."
Hassan wrote down a phone number for Kim, who was shocked. Recharge 500,000 dollars to a single number?!
Elena was also shocked and quickly refused, "No, no, don't recharge so much. I can't spend it all in my lifetime!"
Hassan frowned, displeased. "Are you not even going to listen to what I say?"
Elena stayed silent, sweat pouring down her face. This man is absolutely unreasonable.
"Why are you still standing there? Go recharge it now!"
Hassan roared, and the woman quickly ran off.
A few minutes later, Elena received a notification. 'Your account balance is $500,000.00.'
'Oh my God!'
Hassan smirked with pride. "See if you dare to turn it off again in the future."
"Remember, from now on, you must answer my calls at any time, anywhere, and you're not allowed to talk back to me!"
His domineering tone left Elena speechless.
"Let's go, get in the car, we'll go eat."
And so, Elena was forced into the car by him.
The car slowly stopped at the entrance of the Golden Bay Sea Shop.
Elena entered a high-end luxurious Western restaurant for the first time.
"Mr. Al-Farouk."
A sweet and coquettish voice came from the other side of the hall.
A woman wearing a purple strapless gown, with diamond earrings and a spring-like smile on her face, approached from the opposite side.
Hassan squinted slightly. "Who are you?"
"Hey, I'm Coco! I served you with Nana last month, how could you forget so quickly?"
Coco kept rubbing against him, her ample bosom almost hanging on Hassan's arm.
Elena suddenly remembered. Coco was a popular international model who was dating a wealthy man and disappeared from the media shortly after her debut.
"Step back!" Hassan ordered without politeness.
Coco reluctantly took a step back, casting jealous glances at Elena, then hummed softly.
After her condition did not worsen, she finally let go of her worries.
Just as Elena hung up the phone, Hassan had finished his call as well, and a pair of sharp eyes stared at her.
"Who were you calling?"
"My mom!"
"It wasn't a man, was it?"
Does this man still have trust issues?
Elena shook her head, "Of course not, but who I call is my own business."
Before she could finish speaking, her small hand was tightly grabbed by him, and with a tug, he pulled her into his arms.
"You no longer have freedom now, understand?"
He threatened in a low voice, his domineering tone whispering in her ear.
"I better not see you associating with any other man, or you can imagine the consequences."
That wicked voice made Elena tremble all over.
This devil was capable of doing anything cruel and insane. Could she escape from his watchful eyes?
His large hand stroked her delicate cheek. "Little fairy, maybe it won't be long before I grow tired of you."
"Is that so? I hope that day comes sooner."
Elena lifted her chin, looking at him defiantly.
Immediately, Hassan's handsome face darkened, and his large hand grasped her chin, coldly saying, "What did you just say?"
This damn woman actually dared to speak to him with that tone, it's like she doesn't want to live anymore.
"Ah, it hurts! Weren't you just saying that you'll grow tired of me soon?"
"That's right, in that case, only I am qualified to say that, and you are not, understand?"
Elena stared at him angrily. He was truly a domineering and despicable man.
When they finished eating and came out, Nabil was waiting outside.
Seeing Elena come out, he said, "Miss Walker, all of your luggage has been retrieved. Please check to see if there is anything missing."
"What luggage? What do you mean?"
Nabil remained silent and glanced at Hassan. Elena gradually felt something was off.
Hassan casually said, "I had Nabil gather your belongings from school. From now on, you must live at Paris Bay."
"What?! Hassan, you're going too far. I'm still in school, I'm just your mistress, not a slave. Who gave you the authority to make decisions for me?"
Elena was shocked and infuriated, raising her voice.
Hassan sneered, "That's right, you are selling yourself as a slave. What school are you still attending? You just need to obediently stay at home and be ready for my summons at any time."
"No! I won't accept this... Hassan, you never mentioned this beforehand, I won't do it..."
Elena turned around angrily and started running towards the distance.
What kind of logic is this? She only agreed to be his lover for a hundred days, why should she give up her studies and friends? She is a person, not a toy or a pet.
A pair of long arms forcefully lifted her up.
Elena struggled and shouted loudly, "Help! Help!"
Bang!
Elena was roughly thrown onto the back seat of the car. Hassan coldly commanded, "Drive!"
The car slowly started moving.
Elena, like a frightened deer, desperately punched and kicked inside the car.
