Chapter 20 Inferiority, The Cheap Girl

When they came out of the rose garden, it was already afternoon.
William took her to have Western food again. When they were halfway through the meal, her phone suddenly rang.
Elena picked up the phone and saw that it was an unfamiliar number, but all the digits were 8.
Seeing William's slightly puzzled gaze, Elena calmly declined the call.
"I don't know who it is, probably a wrong number."
William smiled, considerately placing the neatly cut beef on her plate and pushing it towards her. "Take your time eating, it's hot."
Elena picked up a piece of meat, just about to bring it to her mouth, when the irritating sound of the phone ringtone interrupted them again.
William laughed. "Seems like there's an urgent matter. Go ahead and answer it."
Elena answered the call. "Hello, I…"
"You have half an hour to get here. If you're not here by then, prepare to face the consequences!"
The arrogant and furious roar interrupted her words, causing Elena's ears to ache.
"Hello, who is this?"
Before Elena could finish speaking, the other person had already hung up.
After a while, Elena remembered who the owner of that voice was!
Damn it, wasn't the deadline three days? It's only been one day, is he trying to back out?
Never mind him!
"Who was it?" William elegantly held a napkin in his slender fingers, his eyes full of concern.
Elena shrugged. "A garbage picker who took my crystal necklace. Then he asked me to meet him to retrieve it."
"Is it the one your father gave you? Let me accompany you to get it!"
"No need, it's just a small matter. It'll be fine in a few days."
Elena didn't think too deeply about it and stayed busy until the third day. She borrowed a bicycle from a classmate and spent a long time looking at the map before finally finding the location.
She had never imagined that this City could be such a luxurious place.
Standing on the outskirts of Paris Bay, from a distance, those tall golden marble pillars made her feel like she was back on Treasure Island.
In front of the magnificent gateway, Elena felt overwhelmingly aware of her lack of wealth.
Leaning on the slightly worn-out bicycle and facing the servant in royal attire, Elena suddenly felt like she was the one picking garbage! Cough cough!
"Hello, I'm here to see Mr. Al-Farouk." Elena cautiously approached the tall servant and spoke with a smile.
"Miss, do you have an invitation from our master?" The servant asked condescendingly.
Elena touched her head, an invitation? What is that?
She shook her head immediately. "No, but I have his phone number."
Elena took out her small-screen Nokia phone and handed it to the servant.
The servant had no expression and didn't reach out for her phone.
"Miss, this is a wealthy area. Please leave! Otherwise, we will have to call the police."
The cold tone made Elena feel like she was a thief.
Helpless, Elena could only ride her bicycle back.
Perhaps because of the agitation she was feeling , Elena ended up bumping into a parked car while going downhill.
Oops! That car was parked by the roadside!
The collision made the small car immediately screech sharply, and she quickly stopped.
The car door opened, and a young woman hurriedly got out of the car.
Her chiffon blouse was haphazardly put on, without even wearing underwear, revealing her rounded curves and prominent points. Her face also had a suspicious flush, and her chest was wet, giving off a seductive and tempting aura.
"Are you blind? Do you think you can just crash into any car?" The woman's aggressive attitude caught Elena off guard.
"I'm sorry, it was not intentional. I can compensate you." Elena tried to reason.
"Compensate?" The woman walked to the point of impact and immediately felt a pang of pain upon seeing a clear scratch.
"Ah, it's scratched! You have to compensate me with a hundred thousand, otherwise I'll call the police."
"100,000!" Elena exclaimed angrily, "You're asking for 100,000 dollars just for a scratch? If that's the case, I'll go with you now to get it painted, and I'll pay whatever it costs."
"My car is imported, and there are no suitable paints available at these domestic car beauty shops. I have to go abroad to get it."
Elena had a splitting headache. It was such an unlucky day - not only did she not retrieve her necklace, but she also encountered an unreasonable woman.
The woman stood with her hands on her hips, acting tough and getting louder with her complaints.
Luckily, this was a wealthy area, so there were hardly any passersby. Any luxury car that occasionally passed by would disappear in the blink of an eye.
Elena bit her pink lower lip, her head about to explode. She wished she could use clay to shut this woman's mouth.
"Give me the money! Hurry up!" The woman urged.
Elena felt humiliated. "Do you think somebody like me is worth 100,000 dollars?"
"Oh, you don't have money? Then sell yourself!" The woman started using foul language.
Elena was about to lose it, feeling incredibly frustrated. Suddenly, a loud screech of brakes came from behind.
Elena turned around to see a black convertible Ferrari stopping beside her.
Hassan's proud face appeared in her sight.
He was wearing a jet black silk shirt with slightly open diamond buttons, revealing a sexy chest.
On his angular and handsome face, there was an air of dominance behind a stylish pair of sunglasses. His neat and short hair was meticulously styled.
In the passenger seat and backseat of the car, there were two beautiful and sexy women.
Elena turned to the troublemaker and said, "Don't think you can extort money from me. I am friends with Mr. Al-Farouk!"
"Do you know Mr. Al-Farouk?" The woman had a hint of doubt on her face, her gaze shifting to Hassan's face.
She also lived in this wealthy area and had heard some rumors about the AF Group's influence, but rarely had the opportunity to get close to them.
Elena hurriedly smiled and ran in front of Hassan's car. "Mr. Al-Farouk, please help me. This woman insists on making me pay 100,000 dollars, but it's just a small scratch."
Hassan took off his sunglasses, revealing a face that could overturn the world. He squinted his eyes slightly and glanced at the woman and her car behind Elena.
"Why should I help you? We don't have any connection, remember?" He whispered, with a mischievous smile. He stepped on the gas pedal and the car immediately drove off.
Why did that statement sound so familiar? Elena took a moment to remember that she had said that a few days ago.
What a petty and grudge-holding man!
"Hey, pay up!" The woman saw Hassan disappearing in the distance and knew that Elena was just trying to scare her.
"I really don't have any money, how about I wash your car as compensation?"
"No money? If you don't have money, why did you come to such a area? You must be here to be someone's mistress! These young girls have no shame, engaging in such vulgar things at such a young age."
The woman continued to berate her, causing Elena's face to turn red with embarrassment. She wished she could disappear into a hole.
Soon, Hassan's car returned. However, the beautiful women who were with him before were nowhere to be seen, only him.
The woman seemed eager to show off, and her insults became sharper. Elena covered her face.
Hassan extended his long arm, waving his hand and throwing a piece of paper into the woman's face.
"This is five hundred thousand. Pick it up, get lost, and remember, never let me see you in this area again."
The check stuck to the woman's face, leaving her stunned.
Elena widened her eyes and looked at Hassan, foolishly resembling a lost rabbit.
Hassan furrowed his brows, impatiently tapping the car door with his fingers. "Get in the car!"
"Okay!"
