Chapter 76 Unable to Take Action

The guard was terrified, sweating profusely as he pleaded and cried before Elena. Elena's face grew colder than ice; he knew that begging was futile. He turned to his master, seeking mercy.

"Boss, you have to persuade her for me! I've been with you for over ten years. I can't die. Please, help me."

Joseph kicked him hard in the waist. "What's the use of begging now? Where were you when you were enjoying yourself!"

"...I know I was wrong, I know I was wrong!" The guard repeatedly kowtowed, like pounding garlic, his body shaking.

Elena tightened her grip on the gun. She tried several times to pull the trigger, but she still couldn't bring herself to do it.

Determined, she did not dare to kill.

Although she strongly desired to kill this filthy man immediately, she couldn't bring herself to do it.

Joseph looked at Hassan's gloomy face and knew that this had to end with someone dying.

He swiftly snatched the gun from Elena's hand and aimed it at the bodyguard, firing two shots.

The bodyguard was hit and died with his eyes wide open, seemingly unwilling. "Boss, you...you're heartless..."

Joseph coldly glanced at him, "You reap what you sow! No one else is to blame for their cruelty."

Elena stared blankly at the bodyguard's lifeless body lying in a pool of blood, unable to recover for quite some time.

Strong arms wrapped tightly around her, and Hassan's warm, deep voice sounded in her ear, "It's done, Annie's vengeance has been accomplished. She can find solace now."

Elena felt as if she had been holding her breath for a long time, finally releasing it slowly. She weakly and exhaustedly collapsed into Hassan's embrace.

In the afternoon, Elena stood silently in front of Annie's photo. It was one from a series she had taken before, and this one was the most beautiful.

Annie's smile was radiant. Elena had deliberately enlarged it and placed it in a small guest room in the Robinson family's house. Whenever she missed Annie, she would take it out and look at her. Sometimes, she would quietly ponder and it seemed as if Annie had never left.

"Is that Annie?"

Joseph appeared beside Elena, holding a white carnation in his hand. He walked up to the framed photograph and placed the white carnation in front.

"She's beautiful!" Joseph looked at Elena who remained silent and added another remark.

Elena shrugged her shoulders and softly murmured, "Mm-hmm."

Joseph respectfully bowed to Annie's photo.

"Annie, wait for me in heaven. I will personally come and apologize to you soon!"

Joseph's words made Elena smile.

"You're going to heaven?"

"Yes, well, for someone in my line of work, danger is always present. I might already be in heaven in the next hour after talking to you. By the way, is there anything you want me to convey to Annie?"

Elena lightly curled her lips, wanting to laugh but not letting it out. "Nothing!"

After saying that, Elena turned and walked out of the room. Joseph quickly followed, babbling incessantly.

"How can there not be anything? There must be, like how much you miss her! Ask her if she's happy over there!"

Elena turned around, abruptly glaring at him. "Do you believe in heaven?"

"Of course, of course I believe in heaven!" Joseph pulled out a silver cross necklace from around his neck.

"I am a devout Christian! We are all servants of God, and His divine light always surrounds us. We must pray to the Almighty Lord for forgiveness of our sins..."

"Enough!" Hassan interrupted.

Walking out of the bedroom, Hassan proceeded to deliver a punch straight to Joseph's handsome face without any polite gestures. The pain caused Joseph to wail, "Hey, I told you not to hit my face! Do you know how much effort I put into taking care of it every day? Geez!"

"I'm warning you, stay away from my woman. If you don't, it won't just be a slap in the face, I'll twist your neck," Hassan threatened.

Joseph scoffed, "Beautiful women are loved by everyone! I'm just chatting with her, do you really need to be so uptight?"

Hassan raised his chin, "Am I uptight?"

"You are!" Joseph didn't hold back, exposing him.

Enraged and humiliated, Hassan snapped, "Joseph, listen carefully. If you have nothing else to do, pack your things and get lost. My place isn't a shelter for vagrants!"

Joseph's wicked face turned crimson, "What do you mean, vagrant! I'm your brother, for goodness' sake!"

"Go away! Have you no shame? My brother is in Northern Europe! Who do you think you are? Get lost!"

"Hey, Hassan! You've gone too far! Because of you, I lost a lot of money, and all I ask for is a few days' stay, yet you're so calculative."

Hassan couldn't be bothered to entertain him; if they continued this argument, they would waste the whole day.

"I'm done dealing with you. I have more important matters with my woman. You go amuse yourself!" Without waiting for Joseph to respond, he took hold of Elena's slender waist and went into the master bedroom, forcefully closing the door.

Joseph felt even more indignant, "This is outrageous! Flaunting their affection right in front of me, bullying a destitute bachelor like myself."

Noura chuckled, "Mr. Brown, are you really lacking female companions?"

When Joseph used to follow Hassan, he was always surrounded by different women—some sophisticated, some innocent, some like queens... all sorts of beauties. So hearing him refer to himself as a bachelor was simply laughable.

Joseph confidently asserted, "Of course I am. I've been lacking female companions for many years now!"

Noura laughed without responding.

"Mr. Brown, you can go to a nightclub..." Nabil suggested.

"Forget it, I better not. Nabil, help me call someone to come over! I'll get arrested if I go out," Joseph said with a shrug.

Nabil shrugged as well, refusing his request.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Brown, but if I were to do that, the master would be angry!"

"Angry? Didn't he used to bring women back home frequently?" Joseph trailed off.

"Mr. Brown, please don't bring that up again. Otherwise, my master might kick you out," Noura hastily reminded him.

In the bedroom, Hassan held his arms, his handsome eyes gleaming unusually, as he stared intensely into Elena's eyes.

"Is there something you want to tell me?"

He had found the true culprit who harmed his sister and had killed him, finally avenging Annie.

"Thank you!" Elena struggled to say these three words. Although this man had a terrible personality, hemust admit that sometimes he does things that are quite impressive.

A hint of wickedness flashed in Hassan's eyes as he took a step forward, his big hand lifting her chin, his pitch-black and profound gaze staring into her clear eyes.

"What I want to hear is that I want you!"

His sexy voice became hoarse, concealing an undissolvable desire.

Elena's face immediately turned red. She almost forgot that this man's fatal weakness was lust!

It was already too late to escape. He forcefully pressed her against the wall, crazily ripping off her blouse, and with scorching kisses filled with fiery strength, he shamelessly seized her trembling skin.

"No..."

It had been a long time since the two of them were intimate. This was the first time they had been so close after a prolonged cold war.

Embarrassingly, Elena discovered that her sensitive body, provoked by him, was yearning for his aggressive caresses.

He lifted her entire body, spreading her legs, like a serpent coiling around his strong waist. The two of them were so tightly pressed against each other, inseparable.

His intense and domineering masculinity completely possessed her.

He repeatedly kissed her sweet lips and tongue, their passionate kisses unrestrained and fierce.

She moaned softly, her face intoxicated with a seductive allure that made his blood surge...

Just as the two were about to make substantial progress, there was a knocking sound on the door.

However, the two inside the room continued as if undisturbed. Hassan simply held Elena and pushed her onto the soft carpet.

The knocking sound persisted outside the door.

Elena gasped for breath and pushed Hassan away. He could act as if no one else existed, but she didn't want anyone to disturb them. She couldn't concentrate at all.

"Someone is knocking on the door, go and check..."

"Damn it!" Hassan cursed lowly and turned back to cover Elena's almost half-naked body with his suit jacket.

With anger burning in his heart, he went to open the door, wearing a dissatisfied expression.

"Sorry to disturb you, Mr. Al-Farouk, but it seems like you are busy. However, please allow me to finish what I have to say..."

Faced with Joseph's bored expression, Hassan angrily shut the door.

"Open the door, Mr. Al-Farouk, I actually wanted to borrow something from you!" Joseph shouted playfully.

In an instant, Hassan opened the room and walked out with his upper body exposed. His sturdy chest exuded an aura of dominance, and the cold muzzle of the gun pressed against Joseph's handsome face.

"Try calling out again!"

His pitch-black eyes contained endless anger and threat, scaring Joseph into immediate silence.

"All right, I was wrong. You guys continue, okay? One hour or two hours? Shall I wait at the door?"

Hassan gave Joseph a fierce glare, causing him to immediately raise his hands. "Don't act rashly, okay? Three hours, I don't think that beauty can handle your torment for three hours..."

The gun muzzle pushed forward mercilessly once again. Joseph knew themore you talk, the more mistakes you make. It's better to leave quickly.

Elena put on her clothes and looked out from the door, just in time to see Hassan pointing a gun at Joseph. She stuck out her tongue, finding the frustrated man really terrifying.

Soon, Hassan returned to the bedroom and closed the door, his eyes evilly fixed on Elena.

"Let's continue what we were doing earlier..."

"But I'm not in the mood anymore!"

In the next instant, Hassan pounced on her like a ferocious tiger. "Baby, I'll make you in the mood again soon."
