Chapter 68 Good Sister, Bad Sister

Hassan couldn't help but tense up, gripping the gun tightly in his hand. If Timothy dared to harm Elena, he would rush to the Robinson family's villa now.

In the video, Timothy stood by Elena's bedside and gently pulled the covers over her. After a long moment, he turned around and left, switching off the lights at the room's entrance.

If Timothy had turned around at that moment, he would have seen a faint blue light flickering in the darkness. Unfortunately, he didn't, so he had no idea that Hassan was watching over his family.

Once Timothy left, Hassan finally relaxed. "Master, why don't you take some rest? I'll monitor the situation. If he takes any action, I'll notify you immediately."

Hassan glanced at his watch and nodded.

The diamond luminescent watch on his wrist pointed to four in the morning.

"You keep an eye on me, I'm going out for a walk!"

Hassan pushed open the car door and walked towards the beach. Standing on the reef, he could see the towering roof of the Robinson family's villa.

His black eyes glowed with a crimson light. Whoever touched his woman would meet a gruesome death, no matter who they were.

Meanwhile, Daria paced restlessly in the Robinson family's backyard.

The gentle morning breeze carried a delightful floral scent. It was a beautiful morning, but for Daria, who had not slept all night, it was the most painful day. Nothing had gone as she had planned, and she felt uneasy.

A bodyguard rushed in anxiously.

"Madam!"

Daria abruptly turned around, her dry hawk-like eyes fixed on him. "What happened?"

The bodyguard knelt down on the cement bricks, his face filled with anguish.

"Madam, we couldn't complete your task. Young Master has sent additional people to monitor Miss Walker all the time. Whenever we approach her, we're driven away. Yesterday, Young Master's man Rami beat us up, and now we're bedridden. Young Master said that if anyone dared to harm Miss Walker, he would take our heads! He also said..."

Daria became furious and slapped him. "Useless scum, what else did he say?"

With blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, the bodyguard lay on the ground, trembling in fear.

"Young Master also said that now he is the one in charge of the Robinson family, not you, madam..."

Daria's face turned pale with anger. Everyone had turned against her. First her husband, then her son. None of them listened to her. Now her son was protecting that little vixen, shielding her completely. No matter what methods she used, she couldn't get close to that woman.

Her chest heaved with anger, and she felt the air in her lungs dwindling. At this rate, her son would soon bring that cheap Sarah back from the mainland and make her the legitimate wife. He would also bring that wretched old man back, and from then on, she would have no place in this family.

She felt dizzy and almost fainted.

Seeing this, the bodyguard hurriedly supported her. "Madam, what's wrong with you?"

Daria struggled to keep herself from falling and took a deep breath before finally regaining her composure.

Her health was deteriorating day by day. There would come a time when her son would take control of everything. She couldn't let him have his way. As long as she was alive, she wouldn't let that wretched Sarah succeed.

"Prepare the car, I'm going out."

"Madam, your health is important. Shouldn't you go to the hospital first?"

Daria's face changed drastically, and she slapped him again. "Are you wishing for my death?"

"No! May you live a long life with good health, madam."

The bodyguard was dumbfounded. He quickly replied with a few good words in submission and then hurriedly retreated.

"Miss Walker, it's time for breakfast!"

Elena was awakened by a gentle voice, and as she opened her eyes, she saw a young maid with single eyelids smiling at her.

Seeing Elena awake, the maid smiled and said, "Miss Walker, the young master said he'll accompany you to visit Miss Annie today."

Only then did Elena fully wake up and turned to look at the clock on the bedside. It was already half past eight.

"Oh my, I must have slept so deeply. This is bad, it's too late!"

The maid held a set of dresses in her arms and said, "Miss Walker, I just sent your clothes from last night to the laundry. This dress is the one Miss Annie brought when she came to England before. She said it's a sister outfit."

Elena took the dress. It was an adorable pink dress with a double-layered lotus-like skirt and cute princess puffy sleeves. There was a big cartoon face painted on the front, with the letters 'Good Sister' spelled out in dazzling rhinestones.

This was indeed the style Annie liked.

"Is the other one exactly the same?"

"Yes, Miss Annie didn't stay at the Robinson family's mansion for long, but this dress was her favorite. Her dress has the letters 'Bad Sister' on it. She says she has a good sister and claims to be a bad sister herself."

"Bad sister?" Elena felt a twinge of unease in her heart, realizing that Annie had grown up.

Elena gratefully smiled at the young maid as she took her own dress and said, "Thank you!"

"Not at all, Miss Walker. The young master says you're the young lady of the Robinson family, so we should show you more respect. Breakfast is ready, and the young master is waiting for you to have breakfast together."

Elena had no time to chat with her. The thought of seeing Annie soon got her energy up.

She wanted to call her mother and let her talk to Annie for a while. This would definitely put her mother's worries at ease.

After changing into her dress and finishing her morning routine, Elena walked into the Robinson family's dining room, only to find Timothy sitting by the dining table reading the newspaper.

The style of the Robinson family's house was all antique, and the kitchen was no exception.

Silver utensils accompanied by gold-plated tea sets gave off an elegant vibe.

Timothy was dressed in a white casual robe with gold threads, his hair parted to the side. He wore gold-rimmed glasses and had a clean and handsome face. On his left thumb, he wore a magnificent jade signet ring. In the soft morning sunlight, everything was dreamlike. He looked like a gentle and elegant royal prince walking through time and space.

"Are you awake?" He looked up, smiled kindly at Elena, and closed the newspaper in his hands.

There was another set of tableware arranged on the table beside him.

Elena sat down next to him.

Breakfast was laid out on the kitchen table. She glanced at it briefly, still thinking about the Michelin restaurant she had seen yesterday.

Upon seeing Elena's surprised expression, Timothy smiled and said, "I noticed that you really enjoyed these dishes last night, so I specifically asked the chef to buy them this morning. Since you rarely come to England, why not indulge a bit more?"

Elena looked at him gratefully and replied, "Actually, I am very easy to please. You don't need to spend so much." Timothy reassured her, "It's not an expense, just a small gesture. Please, eat before it gets cold." With the exquisite pastries, delicious honey tea, and bird's nest soup, Elena couldn't help but think that the Robinson family was quite nice.

Meanwhile, on the beach, inside the Rolls-Royce, the video on the screen went black after flickering a few times. Hassan asked coldly, "What's going on?"

Nabil pondered for a moment and replied, "Perhaps Miss Walker's clothes got wet. They were taken for cleaning, and electronic devices don't function well in water."

Annoyed at not being able to see Elena, Hassan demanded, "Get me another one immediately!" Nabil stepped out of the car, looked through the binoculars for a while, and quickly returned.

Opening the car door, he said to Hassan, "Timothy's car is here, and Elena is in the car." Hassan ordered impatiently, "What are you waiting for? Follow them right away!"

"Yes, master!" Nabil immediately got into the driver's seat, started the car, and drove out of the forest. In the distance, several luxury cars were lined up on the winding road, heading down the mountain. After a while, Nabil drove onto the road and began trailing behind them.

In the Lamborghini, Rami was driving while Timothy and Elena sat in the back seat, occasionally engaging in friendly conversation.

Despite Timothy being a prominent lawyer, he showed no airs, which only increased Elena's fondness for him. "By the way, Elena, there's something I want to apologize to you about. I hope you can forgive me," Timothy said.

Curious, Elena asked, "What is it?" Timothy explained, "It's about Annie. In truth, my suggestion was the same as my father's, to have Annie stay with Ms. Ellington while we cover the living expenses. This way, they could live together and be happy. Although my father was always worried about Annie's education, I believed Ms. Ellington was capable of teaching her well." Elena nodded in agreement, saying, "I understand."

Timothy continued, "However, I was devastated by what happened to Annie. But rest assured, we will definitely get to the bottom of the case. Otherwise, I wouldn't deserve to be Annie's older brother." Elena was moved by Timothy's indignant expression. "Annie was sent back by my father. He was worried about the poor medical conditions in the mainland and the potential psychological impact on Annie. We didn't consult with you or Ms. Ellington about this decision, and I hope you can forgive our presumption."

Elena replied, "Well, I can understand! It's all just a misunderstanding. As long as we explain it clearly, everyone will understand."

"Annie came back and stayed at home for a few days, but the situation was not good. She cried and caused a scene, even physically fighting with my mother. She accused my mother of intentionally plotting against her and cursed relentlessly day and night." Timothy shook his head in anguish. "As you know, my mother can be strict at times, but she doesn't have ill intentions towards Annie after all, considering they are family."

Elena nodded silently.

"My mother's health is not great either. She is old, and she has high blood pressure and heart problems. She can't handle this kind of turmoil, so she insisted on sending Annie to the hospital. Don't worry, it's the best and most expensive hospital in England. Annie stayed there for two weeks, and her condition improved significantly. The doctors attributed her mental confusion to being emotionally disturbed, and as long as she continues with the treatments, she will get better. Then, we'll bring her back home."
