Chapter 53 A Hole in One

It was obvious that the golf club hit something. Elena turned around, and Hassan, with his hands covering his forehead, had a burning anger in his dark eyes.

"Did it hit you? I'm really sorry! Let me see if you're bleeding..."

Elena felt secretly delighted, but she pretended to be alarmed. She put down the golf club and tiptoed to examine his injury.

Hassan was furious. "I've seen clumsy people before, but never someone as clumsy as you. I don't want to teach you anymore. Listen, you have one hour to practice. If you haven't learned to make a hole in one by the time I come back, you'll see how I punish you."

Elena blinked innocently, bent down to pick up the golf club from the grass, and held it in her hand. Right now, she really wanted to "accidentally" hit him again.

Hassan stormed off with an unpleasantly gloomy face.

Elena pursed her lips. What a petty man.

"Miss Walker, you've angered the master!" Noura looked worriedly at Elena. Miss Walker was too rebellious, and there would surely be more conflicts in the future.

Elena shrugged and bent down to hit the ball. "It's such a hassle. I don't want to learn this boring thing."

After lazily swinging the club twice, Elena simply held it and ran to rest under a nearby short tree.

"Miss Walker, if you keep slacking off like this, the master will be angry," Noura whispered, reminding her.

Elena stared at Noura. "Noura, do you have a boyfriend?"

Noura's calm eyes showed a hint of ripples, but it quickly disappeared. She smiled and answered, "I did!"

"Is your boyfriend as brutal as Hassan?"

Describing her master like this made Noura quite conflicted. Luckily, her master wasn't here; otherwise, he would definitely be furious again. Noura sat down next to Elena and looked into the distance calmly.

"Actually, not all men show love in the same way. Different personalities lead to different expressions of love. That's just how the master is. The more he cares about someone, the stricter he becomes..."

"I don't like it. He's a bit twisted in the head!" Elena pouted.

"Miss Walker, how can you say that about the master!" Noura looked at Elena in astonishment.

"I'm just telling the truth. Name one man in the world who would personally beat his girlfriend to death..."

Elena stopped abruptly as Hassan's figure approached.

There was an obvious, reddened lump on the left side of his forehead, and his dark eyes stared piercingly at Elena.

"Who allowed you to rest here?"

Elena immediately stood up and dusted off the grass from her backside. "I was tired. Can't I take a break?"

"No, get up!"

Hassan's tone was harsh. He clearly saw that since he left, she hadn't hit a single ball and had just been sitting here resting, claiming to be tired. She was blatantly defying him.

"Are you kidding me?"

"I refuse to stand up!" Elena made up her mind to confront him head-on. There's absolutely no reason for this. She didn't ask him to bring her here to play ball. Who does he think he is, always assuming control of everything? He acts as if he were an emperor!

"Listen, stand up immediately and pick up the golf club to play!" His expression was unpleasant, like a storm brewing. Noura quickly advised in a low voice, "Miss Walker, don't argue with the master. Just do what he says!"

Elena stood up and threw the golf club at Hassan.

"Hassan, I am a person with dignity, you know? I hate being bossed around by you like this. Although there's a contract between us, it only applies to the bedroom. I am your mistress, not your slave. I'm sorry, but I'm in a bad mood right now. I don't feel like playing with you anymore..."

In a pavilion not far away, Hassan's business partners were looking over with binoculars, reveling in schadenfreude.

Elena's disrespect toward Hassan made him even angrier.

He grabbed Elena's arm with his big hand, his eyes narrowing. "What did you say?"

Elena glared at him indignantly. "Let go! I hate you!"

Hassan raised his hand in anger, while Elena continued to provoke him, full of disdain. "All you know is violence. You're a complete psycho! You keep saying you love me, but how can I possibly fall in love with a man who doesn't understand love? Unless I'm out of my mind!"

As Elena became more excited, whatever she thought in her heart, it burst out of her mouth.

"Miss Walker, you should apologize to the master!" Noura was shocked. Miss Walker was just adding fuel to the fire. Is she leading herself down a path of no return? She should know that angering the master could have unimaginable consequences.

"Get lost!" Hassan's dark eyes glared, and he lowly roared. Noura was so frightened that she dared not say another word, she respectfully retreated.

Fearlessly, Elena closed her eyes, waiting for Hassan's arm to strike.

After a long while, she still didn't feel his hand coming down. Slowly opening her eyes, she found Hassan looking at her with a cunning gaze. Although there was still anger on his face, the previous rage had dissipated somewhat.

Looking at the mischievous expression in Hassan's eyes, Elena shuddered. She knew he had come up with another devious plan.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"You said I don't understand love just now," Hassan's voice was low.

Elena assessed him up and down. "Of course, you only care about your own feelings and never care about others. You do whatever you want, without even basic respect. So what's the point of talking about love?"

Hassan's dark eyes became even gloomier. How could this woman be so ignorant? He brought her here to meet his friends, to let her enter his social circle. He wanted his friends to know her; but she couldn't comprehend that.

Well, she made a scene here, completely disrespecting him without giving him face. She shamelessly claims that he never considered her feelings. It's unbelievable! Has she ever considered his feelings?

Hassan let go of her hand, "Fine, go then!"

"What?" Elena couldn't believe it as she looked at him. How could he just let her go like this? He should have at least beaten her up.

Hassan arrogantly lifted his chin, "I said you can go! Don't you dislike playing basketball? Then walk back by yourself!"

After saying this, Hassan turned around and gestured to Noura. A cable car arrived, and Hassan got in. Noura followed closely behind. Elena watched them leave in a daze...

At the end of the field was a stretch of towering mountains. William Spencer stood on horseback, his slender and tall figure bathed in the golden sunlight. Like a noble white horse prince, a faint melancholy shrouded his handsome and elegant face as he gazed into the distance in silence.

After about ten minutes, Chloe finally caught up. Seeing William Spencer bathed in the golden sunlight, a surge of love overwhelmed her.

"William! You always appear so refined, I never expected you to be so skilled at horse riding!"

Without turning his head, William Spencer lightly smiled, "It's nothing. I just got familiar with it from riding often."

"William, you must teach me more in the future!"

"Yeah, it's not that difficult."

"Oh, by the way, William, I heard that Mayo Clinic is recruiting an assistant Dean. I want to give it a try!"

William Spencer turned around, and under the sunlight, Chloe's beautiful face had a confident smile.

"No." William immediately vetoed.

"Why not?" Chloe asked in confusion.

William Spencer smiled and remained silent. "Being an assistant Dean is a busy position, and it doesn't suit you well."

"I..."

"Alright, let's go back. The scenery today is really beautiful."

William Spencer had no interest in discussing further and turned his horse around to head back. Chloe followed on horseback, and suddenly she exclaimed in surprise, "Isn't that Elena?"

After the argument with Hassan, he left with Noura, leaving Elena standing there alone.

It was the scorching noon of midsummer, with the sun blazing overhead. Thirsty and sunburned, it would take at least forty minutes for Elena to walk back to the locker room on her own two legs.

Elena finally understood Hassan's maliciousness. While cursing Hassan in her mind, she started walking back.

Everywhere she looked, there were only lush green grasslands. After walking for a while, she got lost. She couldn't tell which way was which, feeling dizzy and walking aimlessly, sweat freely flowed down her little face.

As she walked, she accidentally stepped on a white golf ball and stumbled onto the grass, looking quite disheveled. It didn't hurt much, but Elena felt a strange sense of fatigue.

"Wow, I've had such bad luck," Elena muttered to herself as she picked herself up from the ground and brushed off the grass stains from her palms. Through gritted teeth, she cursed Hassan...

The sound of hooves broke the silence, and Elena looked up to see a white horse galloping towards her. The man on the horse exuded a handsome and noble aura, his clothes flowing in the wind. He resembled a prince from a fairy tale. Was she hallucinating?

Why did this prince look exactly like William Spencer?

"Elena, what are you doing here?" William Spencer leaped off his horse and strode towards her.

Elena's hair was disheveled, with grass clinging to the top of her head. Her face, reddened by the sun, was covered in a mix of sweat and dirt. Her eyes were slightly puffy from crying, making her appear both disheveled and pitiful.

Chloe couldn't help but feel a strange satisfaction upon witnessing this scene, though she was slightly disappointed that the mysterious man didn't appear.

Faced with William Spencer's concerned gaze, Elena had no idea how to respond. Should she tell him that she had been abandoned here after tagging along with her "sugar daddy" for fun? No, she couldn't bring herself to say it.

As Elena hesitated, Chloe piped up loudly.

"Elena, what a coincidence! I didn't expect to see you here. Are you here with your celebrity mom?" Chloe wore a proud and smug expression on her beautiful face while sitting atop her horse.

Looking at Chloe's smug look, anger surged within Elena. She was already upset because of Hassan, and now Chloe had come to rub salt in her wounds.

She raised an eyebrow and a sudden idea came to her mind. Smiling, she said to William Spencer, "William, can I borrow your horse for a moment?"
