Chapter 70 His Arrogance
Timothy's expression turned very grim, and with great difficulty, he nodded. "Rami, go handle it."
The joy on Elena's face slowly faded, quickly replaced by a lifeless expression. After a while, she suddenly pushed Timothy away and ran into the crowd.
Tears flowed freely down her face, her mind blank. No, it couldn't be Annie. Timothy must be playing a deliberate prank, some sort of test of courage. It couldn't possibly be real.
She had traveled all the way to England, endured countless hardships, and finally managed to find her. They were about to meet. She should have been happy, so how could she be jumping off a building?
The lifeless body on the ground lay in a twisted position, face down, a pool of fresh blood streaming from the forehead.
As Elena approached, the nurses voluntarily cleared the path for her.
She couldn't see the face of the body clearly, but she could see that she was wearing a pink dress with a lotus-shaped hem and princess-like fluttering sleeves. Part of her chest revealed the words "bad sister".
Elena's world collapsed, and the scene before her gradually turned white.
Yes, it was indeed Annie!
Why did fate have to be so cruel to her?
A dizziness swept over Elena, and her vision darkened as she fainted.
It was a cold and dark world, filled with silence.
Timothy was about to bend down to lift the unconscious Elena when suddenly, a strong arm extended and forcefully pushed him away. In his astonished gaze, Hassan scooped up Elena.
Timothy reluctantly stood in his way.
"You can't take her! She doesn't want to see you," Timothy protested.
Hassan sneered, "She is mine, not yours to take. Or do you plan on taking her away? It's none of your business if she wants to see me or not. Move aside."
"Hassan, don't push your luck. Let me remind you, this is England!" Timothy raised his voice, asserting his dominance.
Hassan looked at him mockingly. "Timothy! How many members of the Robinson family have died is none of my concern. I couldn't care less, but let me remind you too, if Daria has harmed my woman, I won't let her off the hook. If anything happens to Elena, I want every member of the Robinson family to pay with their lives."
Each word was filled with arrogance. It seemed as if Hassan was standing at the doorstep of his own home.
He behaved as if he owned the territory of the Robinson family.
Timothy felt intimidated. He glanced at Elena in Hassan's arms, his expression turning grim.
Beside him, Rami whispered, "Sir, I have a hundred men stationed at the entrance."
A hint of satisfaction flickered on Timothy's face.
Hassan grunted, hearing every word Rami said. He sneered and spoke in a low, menacing voice to Nabil, "Tell them."
"Yes, master. We have a ground-to-ground missile targeted at the Robinson family on a nearby warship."
Rami nearly wet himself. A missile!
Timothy's face grew even more grim. Although he didn't know if Nabil's words were true or false, he believed that Hassan had the capability. The guy had been smuggling advanced weapons lately, and missiles were just a piece of cake.
Rami wanted to say something else, but Timothy impatiently interrupted him, "Didn't I ask you to take care of Annie's affairs? Are you deaf?"
"Yes, young master, I'll do it right away!" Rami scurried away like a frightened rabbit.
Hassan swiftly carried Elena away in his arms, and Timothy's expression turned extremely unpleasant.
“My head hurts!” Elena gradually regained consciousness.
She felt as if she was surrounded by nothing but a dense, white fog. Panicking, she wandered around, trying to escape from the fog. But no matter how she walked, she was still trapped in the dream.
"Bad person, you're not allowed to hit my sister!"
A childish voice echoed through, and through the thin mist, Elena saw a chubby figure. The girl had two high pigtails and was desperately pulling the people who bullied her sister.
Elena was overjoyed and rushed over. "Annie… Annie..."
But as she got closer, the figure suddenly disappeared.
"Sister, here's some money for you to buy a new motorcycle."
Another voice came, and the mist slowly condensed into Annie's appearance. Elena pounced again.
"Annie… Annie, where are you?"
But when she grabbed the figure, she turned around to see a bloody face.
Elena woke up in shock, shouting, her eyes wide open.
No fog, no Annie. She only saw a white ceiling above her head, with the smell of disinfectant lingering in the air.
Elena sat up abruptly, and the scene in the hospital suddenly rushed back to her mind.
Her head was throbbing, and her heart was in excruciating pain.
Tears uncontrollably streamed down her face. Annie!
She got up and pulled out the IV tube in her left hand, wanting to run out. Suddenly, she collided with a sturdy embrace, hurting her nose.
Before she could react, her whole body was lifted by a pair of arms and thrown onto the bed.
"Hassan, let go of me, I want to see Annie."
"Fine, first answer me, where is Annie? Where are you going to find her?" Hassan stared at her with fierce eyes.
"Annie, she's in the psychiatric hospital."
"Wrong, she's not in the psychiatric hospital anymore. She's dead, and she is in the morgue now at the crematorium."
Hassan said coldly, and Elena opened her eyes. She was already dead! Annie was already dead! This merciless blow extinguished the flicker of hope that had ignited in her heart.
"I don't care, I want to see her. She must be missing me. I want to see her."
Elena became somewhat crazy, kicking and scratching Hassan, desperately trying to break free.
Hassan said nothing, holding her tightly, unwilling to let go.
It was only when she exhausted herself that Hassan finally put her back on the bed.
"Listen, don't think about escaping from here. The windows are reinforced, and there are ten bodyguards outside. You won't succeed so easily anymore."
Elena lay motionless on the hospital bed, desperately shedding tears.
Annie was dead!
This was another heavy blow she received after her father's death. That heart-wrenching feeling once again took over her heart.
The hospital room was silent, with only the sound of her heartbeat.
After a while, Elena struggled to sit up again, wanting to run away. Hassan patiently grabbed her and pressed her back onto the bed.
"Hassan, let me see my sister."
"No, there's nothing worth seeing. She's already badly injured, unrecognizable. You cannot go see her."
"No, no matter what she has become, I want to see her. I am her sister, and I have a responsibility towards her."
"What responsibility? You have the last name Walker, she has the last name Robinson. The one responsible for her is someone from the Robinson family." Hassan spoke with a cold tone, and Elena glared at him hatefully before suddenly biting down on the back of his hand as if all the pain and hatred from the depths of her heart converged onto her teeth.
Hassan sat upright, letting her bite him, and remained silent as if it weren't his flesh she was biting into.
It was only when the taste of blood filled her mouth that Elena released her grip, staring at Hassan with resentment.
"Damn you! It's because of you imprisoning me that I couldn't see Annie. If I had come to England one day earlier, maybe I could have seen Annie, and perhaps, with my persuasion, she wouldn't have committed suicide."
Hassan just stared at her with burning eyes, his thin lips pressed together tightly, without saying a word.
"I hate you, I hate you, I hate you to death!"
The hospital room soon fell back into silence.
Elena lay on the hospital bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, neither speaking nor shedding tears.
Her mind was in chaos.
"Noura, call the nurse to administer the IV."
"But Miss Walker has already had it removed three times," Noura looked at Elena's small hands, already punctured like a sieve.
But Hassan seemed not to have noticed and continued in his cold tone, "Call the nurse to insert the needle again. If she removes it again, continue inserting it until she agrees to the treatment."
Noura frowned and respectfully said, "Yes, master!"
Soon, a nurse came to reinsert the needle and administer the IV to Elena while Hassan watched.
Elena glared at him angrily, then turned her head away.
Hassan turned and walked out.
In a secluded lounge in the hospital, Hassan stood in front of the floor-length curtains, his gaze piercing through the window, looking into the distance.
A black car was parked in the hospital's backyard, ten minutes away.
Afterwards, Nabil's figure entered the lounge. Hassan was still standing next to the curtain, without moving from his position.
"Master, I'm back! I went to the hospital to investigate. This morning, an hour before Miss Walker entered the hospital, Daria had gone to the psychiatric wing. It is said that she met Annie during this time, but the specifics are not clear because the doctor who received Daria, Annie's psychiatrist, suddenly went missing."
Hassan sneered coldly. It was just as he had imagined.
Daria was an deceitful woman.
"And the bruises on Miss Walker's face were caused by Daria. During the first three days of Miss Walker entering the Robinson family, she was locked up by Daria and subjected to physical abuse. She even ordered for two bodyguards to violate her. However, Timothy saved her afterwards."
As Hassan thought of the abuse Elena had suffered, flames burned in his eyes. Did the people from the Robinson family really not regard him highly?
"Give Daria a punishment so that she can no longer harm Elena in the future."
"Yes, master!"
Nabil was about to leave when Hassan stopped him again. "Do it cleanly, don't let anyone suspect us."
Nabil understood that the master was not thinking about Timothy, but rather, he was worried about Elena having negative thoughts.
"Understood, master. You can trust me with this!"
Nabil's figure disappeared outside the door like a ghost.
