Chapter 16 - Meeting The New CEO

"Eve, who did that to you?" Luigi abruptly begged.
"Did what?" I asked.
"The video went viral. You confronted a reckless driver. That was probably a man." Ella pleaded.
"I could read a lot of comments here. Your fans are furious. We need to find that person and he needs to apologize to you on National Television." While Luigi focused on his phone.
"You should not be commuting anymore. Eve, you should get a car as your service going to TvN8 Station.
You must not be roaming around whenever you want to. You are famous, for Pete's sake!" Ella suggested.
"I know, by now, he feels sorry too. Let go of that issue. People will forget about it sooner.
Sometimes we could perform carelessly when we are going through some circumstances." I covered up for Mr. N.
Yes, I am earning much better than previously. But I do not think getting a car is a practical way to attain. That is costly!
At TvN8 Station...
I was running when I saw the elevator had just closed.
I quickly pressed the up button.
Thanks and I was able to catch up.
Someone is riding in the elevator. He was wearing a jacket and a hood on his head.
I am busy reading comments on social media using my phone so I did not notice him that much.
"If I only know where I could find Mr. N, I would have gone to him and said sorry for the mess." When I talk to myself.
He has a lot of bashers because of what happened.
Unexpectedly, the man sat down and grabbed his shoelace. His hood fell. And I was able to see his face.
"Mr. N?" I exclaimed.
He looked at me. He is Mr. N and no one else.
I instantly put his hood back on his head. When the elevator opened I quickly grabbed his hand and pulled him away.
I kept running and yanking him.
When I took him to a place where there were no people, I stopped.
I checked around.
I gasp from running.
"What are you doing here? Did they call you? Did they force you to apologize to me for what happened last time?
Have you received any threats? Sorry for that! It is my fault! I screwed up your life!" I told him one after another.
He was just glaring at me. I have no trace of emotion on his face.
"Come on! Go home. Do not give any statement regarding that incident. And primarily, do not feel sorry for me on national television.
You can pass by the back door." I told him.
I looked around again. When there was no one, I grabbed him again.
And I never let him run. We just wandered. I do not want to make any commotion. They might catch sight of him and beg him to say sorry.
"Eve, the shooting is about to start." Ms. Beth suddenly appeared.
"Yes, I will be right back!" Fortunately, she did not see Mr. N.
I assisted him back at the parking lot.
"Hey, do not use that sports car again. So they will not recognize you." When I saw his car parked in the parking lot of TvN8 Station.
I overlooked my bag.
"Here it is! I do not need your money. You have saved me many times formerly. So I am going to apologize to you for the dispute I had with you in the past." And I put the money in his jacket pocket.
Why is he still so handsome?
"All right, get out of here! Do not come back here." I pointed to his car for him to get in.
Then, I went running back to the station. I glanced at him. He was still standing.
I waved at him and finally, he got inside his car.
This strange feeling of clings happened again.
He constantly makes my heart palpitate rapidly.
How did that happen?
It has been a while since we last met. Up to this point in time, I still have the same bizarre feelings for him.
He was my knight in shining armor so I will give it back to him.
I will protect him from the people who would want to mistreat him.
"What happened at the conference meeting?" I inquired with Sittie.
"Oh, Eve, why did you leave? The new CEO has been introduced." Sittie replied smiling.
"I had an emergency!" I answered back.
"You should see the new CEO. He is so attractive. He is lanky like a basketball player. As in, he is handsome! He is almost perfect." Lara mumbled like floating in the air.
"Why don't you seem excited to see him?" When Sittie noticed my reaction.
"No! I just caught up with an old acquaintance that I have never seen for a long time. I am just delighted." I smiled.
"Wow! That smile is so sparkling. Is it an ex-boyfriend or a childhood sweetheart?" King guessed.
"Would you believe me if I said, I have no boyfriend since birth?" I begged.
"No!" They answered simultaneously.
"That is the truth. I will explain to you later. It is too complicated." I let out laughing.
"Hashtag, it is complicated." Lara's teasing. ?
After the shoot, I went to Ella's house.
"Hey, Ella, why do you seem to be frowning?" I asked Ella after noticing her expression.
"I fought with my Boss. I was insulted that he thought he was the owner of the company and feeding me.
So there, I resigned." she said softly.
"Do not let him belittle you and judge you. I will ask on TvN8 Station. Maybe there is a job vacancy." I caressed her back.
"Thanks, Eve! That matters to me." she still grimaced.
I hope there is a job vacancy at TvN8 Station. I do not want Ella to lose her job. I know she needs it badly for her mother. And for us to be together in the same company also.
"Do we have a job vacancy here?" I asked King.
"I will check with the HR Department later." He replied promptly.
"Eve!" A call that turned me on.
"Sir Nathan!" When I saw him.
"Come with me. The CEO wants to meet you." He mumbled suddenly.
I glanced at King.
"Go!" he whispered.
I instantly got up and followed Sir Nathan.
"He wants to see the distinguished Eve Lopez in person." When we were walking.
"I am nervous!" I let out.
"Do not be nervous. That friend of mine is considerate. He is humble too." He bolstered me.
At the event, we got to the CEO's office.
I arranged my hair. I want to be presentable in his eyes.
"Here is Eve Lopez!" Said Sir Nathan.
I could not discern who he is talking to because Sir Nathan is blocking his seat.
I put up with a profound whiff.
I hope the new CEO will like me too.
And I wish he appreciates my undertakings for Love Hotline.
"Did she make the Love Hotline popular?
She came to be famous again because of the man who molested her." I heard him say.
I pouted. Sir Nathan just told me that he is humble. But why could I feel coldness and insult in his voice?
"Yes, Dude, Eve Lopez is an instant celebrity." Sir Nathan replied.
"Has she surpassed the popularity of Kisses?" He inquired.
I am dead! Kisses and the CEO are rumored to be intimate with each other.
What if he fires me because Kisses is hysterical at him?
I stooped. Should I go out and quit meeting the CEO?
"Are you ashamed? So you are bent over?" I was outraged by what he said.
He can see my reaction. A deliberately lifted my face.
"Mister..." I abruptly halted when I saw him.
"I am not Mr. N. I am Nikolai La Marcus." He introduced himself.
"Eve, is there something wrong? Do you know each other?" Sir Nathan asked with a grimace.
"Of course, Dude! Netizens are furious with me because of Eve Lopez." The CEO spoke again.
I can not speak up. My tongue seemed to jut out.
This is impossible!
This is not happening now!
"What? Do you mean you were the driver who quarreled with Eve?" Sir Nathan cracked up.
"Yes, it was me! People are disgruntled with me because I insulted their famous and idol Eve Lopez." he was staring at me.
I stroked my face to be sure that I am not dreaming.
I could feel my skin so it is going on now.
I am facing Mr. N.
And Mr. N is the new CEO of TvN8 Station.
And Mr. N is Nicholas La Marcus.
"And Dude, would you believe that Eve Lopez hardly discharged me from my own company last night," he added.
It is the end of my endeavors!
I will be fired!
I will lose my job.
"She hid me from my employees. Yes, she did that!" The CEO looked hysterical.
Sir Nathan abruptly snickered.
"Did you do that to him, Eve?" Sir Nathan begged while laughing.
It is not a joke for me. My life relies on him now. If he fires me, how can I sustain Nicks' needs?
"I am sorry! Sorry, Mr. CEO for my mistake last night!" I covered my mouth.
Mr. N is the owner of TvN8 Station.
He is a young billionaire that I dumped the previous night.
He was my former savior.
Mr. N that my heart cherished for a long time.
Will he kick me out from TvN8 Station right this very moment?
What will I do next?
