Chapter 86 Chapter 86 - The Epilogue

"Love, are you fine? Where is Fritz?" when I went to Nicks and Fritz.
"Do not worry, Love, I told her to go home. We have talked about everything and she apologized for what she did." Nicks grabbed my hand.
I gasped a sigh of solace when Nicks just let Fritz go home. Fritz is pregnant and even though she made a mistake, she does not deserve to be mistreated physically. Zhac led me to the poolside.
"Now that everything is fine and I am not going to have a child with another woman, Love, please, stay here. Do not go back to the province." Nicks pleaded with me.
"Let me fix things about Garden of Leto first. One more thing, I have done my part. I have already helped you with Fritz. And Nicka, she is far from a disaster." my litany.
I can not just decide as soon as this very moment. Garden of Leto is my first ever business and I love it. So I had to return to the province without Ella. Nathan has already proposed to her and they are on the preparation for the wedding.
I felt envious of Ella because she is getting married and would soon be Nathan's wife. While Nicks appears to have no intention of settling down. I have been here at the Garden of Leto for almost two weeks. Nicks is still occupied with work.
"Eve, I will have my internship. Can I do on-the-job training here at the Garden of Leto?" Phil begged.
"What kind of question was that, Phil? Of course, you can do on-the-job training here." and I messed up his hair.
"Yes! By the way, how are you and Nicks?" he asked curiously.
"We are doing great and the woman who claimed she was pregnant with Nicks confessed that it was not true. Phil, what happened to Paul after the reunion?" I altered the topic.
"Paul has left. He went to his sister in Australia." Phil announced.
"That is good and I do not have to lie to your clan. All I know is that he has a petition from his sister. He mentioned that to me last time." I reflected on what Paul told me.
"Yeah, by the way, Mommy will follow me here," said Phil.
"I would better get our dinner ready," I suggested.
"No need! Just relax and make yourself beautiful." Phil prompted me.
"Why do I need to make myself beautiful?" I snickered at his question.
"You are lovely even if you do not make an effort." and Phil put his hand on my shoulder.
He was acting strange. But I let go of my brother's frolics. I also do not understand why he insisted that I accompany him to town proper in the meantime. He said he needed to buy something. Why do I need to be with him?
"Phil, when we passed by the town proper there is no blackout. Why is it so dark in the Garden of Leto?" when Phil's car was about to enter the resort.
"Yeah, maybe the circuit shortened so the power was lost." he shrugged.
"It would be embarrassing for the other guests. We have a generator and they are not yet using it. Let us hurry so I can fix it." I commanded him.
We wandered inside the resort together. Not a single light was on and only my cellphone flashlight illuminated us and the full moon.
"Phil, where are you? Why doesn't anyone seem to be here?" I begged when Phil looked like no longer behind me.
"What is going on here?" I asked worriedly.
I closed my eyes when I was dazzled by the sudden turn of the light on where I was standing. It was also a few seconds before I could open my eyes.
I was stunned at what I saw! The poolside is well-arranged with flowers. Nicka, Mommy Vina, Daddy Ramon, Ella and Nathan, Phil, and Mommy Darcie are all here. What is going on?
And abruptly, sweet music played. I looked at the projector because someone played a slideshow in there.
"Can I change your Last Name - Legazpi? I want to make it La Marcus!" that was what I read on the screen.
Is my suspicion correct? I held it in my mouth because I felt it tremble.
"Love!" call that made me turn my back.
"Love, what is this?" I inquired Nicks.
"Are you ready to answer my question? Can I change your last name? Can I call you Mrs. Everlee La Marcus? Marry me or else I marry me anyway. You have no other choice, Love. Marry me!" and Nicks was holding a ring.
"Oh my! Yes, yes, Love, I will marry you!" my strong answer.
They all applauded. And Nicks wore the engagement ring on my finger. Then he claimed my lips. I cuddled him very tightly.
I have so much joy at these times. Who would have thought we would finally unravel for a wedding?
"Yehey! We are a complete family now!" Nicka ran over and hugged us.
"I love you so much, Nicka. I love you so much, Love!" Nicks murmured sincerely.
"We love you more!" Nicka and I answered at the same time.
This is it! My long trance has come true. To marry the only man I love. And I will have my own family. That was why Phil abruptly asked me for approval because Nicks talked to him earlier.
Phil was supposed to do an internship in Manila but because Nicks wanted me to go back to Manila, Phil will manage the Garden of Leto in my absence. I have a lot of confidence in Phil that he can develop and enrich the Garden of Leto.
"Luigi, congratulations!" Ella and I greeted him.
"Ella, Eve, good you got here!" and Luigi fondled the two of us.
"We can not be absent on your wedding day," said Ella.
"And we can not help but bring these shoes you are going to wear on your wedding day!" I handed Luigi a paper bag at the same time.
Friendship has no expiration. So even though the three of us went through a lot of crusades, we are still here and have remained strong. I am so happy that Luigi has found the woman he will be with for the rest of his life. And Ella will be getting married next. And of course, my wedding will follow.
I wish that we would be equally happy in the new phase of our lives that we are about to embark on.
"Love, can you not go to TvN8 Station today?" I pleaded with him when I saw he was getting dressed.
"Why? Are you feeling bad?" Nicks immediately approached me.
"I am a little dizzy. I want to see a physician." I faintly cried out to him.
I feel like going to spit up. Even though I was whirling, I got up and went straight to the restroom. Nicks instantly followed me and he stroked my back.
"We would better visit the physician," Nicks implied.
When Nicka went to school, we went to the hospital for a check-up.
"What is your diagnose, Doctor?" Nicks implored when the tests done on me by the doctor came out.
"Doctor, am I seriously ill? Am I dying?" I inquired worriedly.
"Eve, you are not dying. The truth is, you will give new life again." Doctor's notification.
"What do you mean, Doctor?" I begged again.
"Eve, Nikolai, let me congratulate you in advance. You are pregnant Eve and you are not sick." the doctor said cheerfully.
Nicks and I had so much pleasure with what we discovered. I did not expect to be pregnant because I had not been very aware of myself lately. After all, we were involved in preparing for the wedding.
"We have an announcement to make, Mom, Dad, Nicka!" said Nicks as we sat down and would be having dinner.
"Go ahead!" Daddy Ramon consented.
"You are going to have a grandchild again. This is a real grandchild. Eve is pregnant again. Nicka, you are going to have a sibling." Nicks's revelation of the joyous news.
"Wow! Mommy, I am excited for my baby brother or sister." Nicka nuzzled me.
"This time, Nicka, Mommy will be more careful with herself so we can be with your sibling." I hugged her tightly.
What more could I ask for in my life? It seems like all my pursuits have come true and there is still a bonus. I will have another child. And I will make sure to take good care of him so he can see how wonderful the world is.
"Love, I promise to be more prudent with you and our new baby." Nicks fondled me and we lay down on the bed.
"I know, Love. I know you did not intend what ensued to Gabriel. He knows we love him so much. It is mesmerizing to think that there is another life here in my womb." and I caressed my belly.
"I love my children very much. I am not a perfect father but I will do everything for them. I have asked forgiveness from Gabriel several times and he once appeared in my dream. He smiled and said he love us." Nicks's storytelling.
"Thank you, Love, you did not give up for the two of us. You are the fulfillment of my dreams." I stroked Nicks' face.
"I have no other intention but to love you and our children. With all the dilemmas we have gone through, our love has been intensified.
So there is no hardship we can not overcome especially when we are together. I love you big time!" Nicks bussed me on the cheek.
"I love you for my infinity and beyond!" I answered him back.
Marriage is not an ending but the beginning of a new life of two people in love. This alone will bolster their union. Bind them as one. I know Nicks and I will go through a lot more. And I also know that giving up is not the solution for the difficulties to be fixed.
Battle! I am ready to battle for Nicks and my children to people who plan to ruin our family. I discovered the hidden strength that I have for them.
We decided to arrange our wedding as soon as possible. And our wedding turned out to be keenly memorable.
Nine months later I gave birth to a healthy baby boy. We named him "Nikolee". I am complete! I am a whole!
