Chapter 85 Chapter 85 - Lies and Truth

"Mommy, I am really happy when I am with you. Grandma does not know how to groom my hair very well. But they all love me here. Except for Aunt Fritz." said Nicka as I fixed her hair.
"Let it go, Baby, the day will come when you will not have to deal with Fritz anymore. That is why Mommy is here to save you and Daddy from disaster." I assure her.
Nicka's bedroom door opened and Nicks entered. He just arrived from the company.
"Oh! Do you want to eat? I cooked." I told him with a smile.
"Love, sure, come on. Let us have dinner. I did not eat outside because I prefer your cooking." he kissed me then Nicka.
"You two, did you talk to acclaim me today?" I begged.
"Of course not!" they replied and we cackled.
Mommy Vina and Daddy Ramon are gone today to attend a wedding. I pleaded with Nanny Myrna to prepare the table for dinner. And I let Nanny Mia rest because I wanted to be hands-on in taking care of my child. We have already started dinner.
"It is a miracle that Fritz did not come here tonight." Nicks noticed.
"Why? Do you miss her?" I begged him.
"No, she has a schedule on when to feel bad. Usually this time of the night." he chuckled.
"Daddy, what will you do when my brother or sister came out? Will Aunt Fritz live here too and Mommy will go back in the province?" Nicks and I were both outraged by Nicka's question.
"We will get your brother or sister then Mommy will stay here with us." Nicks retorted.
"Is that true, Mommy, are you not going back to the province?" Nicka implored me.
I glanced at Nicks. The truth is that Nicks and I have not talked about it yet. After I find out the whole truth and reveal that, I will feel better and there will be no threat for Nicka. I can go back to the Garden of Leto again.
"It depends, Nicka. Mommy has a business in the province and I have to go back there." I answered her.
"No, Mom is staying here for good. Love, let us talk about that later." and Nicks held out his hand to me.
When we finished dinner, I accompanied Nicka to her room. We chatted first and then I read her a bedtime story. And soon she also fell asleep. I went to Nicks in his room to discuss what we had talked about earlier.
"You said you would accept the baby and you would help me out on it." introduction by Nicks.
"Rest assured that I will help you out on it. But I have my own life now in the province. How about my business?" as we sat side by side on his davenport.
"You can put a trustworthy person there. Love, I want you to be here and replenish the times we have been away. I thought you wanted a whole family?" and he snatched my hand.
I want to tell Nicks that an entire family should be united by matrimony of marriage. How can we be a real family if we do not even call ourselves a couple?
"One more thing, I do not want you to be close to Paul again. I know he wants you. And Love, I cannot afford to lose this time." and he cuddled me.
"Come with me tomorrow. We are going somewhere important." I whispered.
"Sure, I will join you!" Nicks' quick assent.
I did not sleep very well last night. Dr. Angel called and will now release the Paternity DNA Result of Nicks and Fritz's baby. I am still anxious about the probability.
"Are you not feeling well?" when Nicks and I went to the hospital.
"No, I am good. I will just get something here. Please, wait for me." and I let Nicks sit down.
He conceded even though I knew he was wondering why we were here. I instantly went to Dr. Angel. I picked up the envelope and opened it in front of her. What I saw was twitching my flesh. I went back to Nicks.
"You can not be pregnant?" he mumbled suddenly.
"Take a lot at it!" I ordered as soon as I reached the envelope.
Nicks seized the envelope and he opened it. I was apprehensive about his reaction.
"All this time, she lied to me!" he murmured but with resentment.
"She showed you a falsified Paternity DNA Test result, Love! You are not the real father of Fritz's baby. He is Morris." my introduction.
I was stunned when Nicks fondled me. We seem to feel the same way. We both breathed a sigh of relief at the truth we learned today. Not because there was no baby I had to accept but because the truth came out. We got back in the car so we could talk about this event privately.
"That was why I do not feel any fondness for the child although I feel sorry for him because his mom did that to him. How did you do it, Love?" Nicks repeated peeking at the result.
"I told you, I would help you and the truth came to me by itself. I heard Fritz talking to Morris on her phone. She said their child is safe and when the baby came out she will surely get a lot of money from you.
She accused me that I was only chasing you for money because I got paid during surrogacy. So I talked to Nathan because you mentioned that Fritz's friend is Mela who is related to Nathan.
I went to her house and she confirmed that Fritz was pregnant when they returned to the Philippines. Then I talked to Dr. Angel, she took care of me when I was pregnant with Nicka to get a specimen from Fritz. There again able to conduct another Paternity DNA Test. And here is the result." I explained what went on to Nicks.
"Love, I never thought you could do all that for me! Thank you so much! I am so sorry for what happened to Gabriel and I know it was my negligence so I wish I could make it up to Fritz's baby." he was very grateful.
"I also would not have thought of doing these things if she had not mistreated Nicka. So I decided to go here and make you realize she is not deserving to be a La Marcus." I rested deeply.
"I have no intention of marrying her. All I have in mind is, look after the baby while in her womb and I will take the baby. I am sure nothing came about that night because I fell asleep in my drunkenness." Nicks leaned over and smiled.
We do not know if we should celebrate the truth. But Fritz's baby is still pitiful. We went back to the mansion and we told Mommy Vina and Daddy Ramon what we had discovered.
"Maybe we should imprison that woman so she can learn her lesson. She almost ruined Nicks' life," suggested Mommy Vina.
"Mom, Fritz is pregnant. Can you manage to see the baby will be born in prison? Also, she did not get anything from me." Nicks rationalized.
"He got money from Eve. And if we did not find out right away, she could get more from us." attached by Mommy Vina.
"Love, why did Fritz get some money from you?" Nicks inquired.
"Let us not make that grounds for Fritz's imprisonment. I voluntarily gave her the money so that I could carry out my plan without her doubting me.
The important thing now is that we know the truth and Fritz can not deceive us anymore." I explained to them.
Our conversation stopped when Fritz abruptly arrived. How can Nicks let her know he already learns the truth? I am scared because Nicks might break down out of his wrath. We all looked at each other. This time, only Nicks has the liberty to punish Fritz.
"Nikolai, I already bought some stuff for baby the baby. I wish you were with me but maybe you are busy at work." foreword by Fritz.
"Next week we can find out the baby's gender. Can you come with me?" Fritz added.
"Come with me!" Nicks stood up.
I held Nicks's hand and my eyes spoke to him that he would speak properly to Fritz. Nicks smirked. Fritz followed him.
"Let us trust Nicks. I know he will not do anything terrible to Fritz," said Daddy Ramon.

"What gender do you want our baby to be?" Fritz even stroked her belly.
"Fritz, that is enough!" rebuke Nikolai.
"Why? Did Eve brainwash you again? So you are like that again to me and our future child?" she was hysterical.
"How long will you insist that Morris' child is mine?" Nikolai asked calmly.
"How do you..." Fritz was stunned.
"I know, Fritz, the truth. That the baby is not my child. I need you to concede it to me now so I can not think of terrible things to do with you." he tapped the table to release his emotion.
"Please, please, do not sue me and put me in jail. I only did that because Morris and I are both unemployed." Fritz was too scared so she admitted.
"The amount you planned to do to me and my family. Even my real child got affected. I believe you more than Nicka but you are a liar!" Nikolai's voice rose a little.
"Forgive me, Nikolai." Fritz knelt.
"I also do not know if I can forgive you for what you have done. But thank Eve because she begged me not to put you in jail even though that is what I want to do to you in exchange for your trickery." Nicks calmed down again as he remembered Eve's reminders.
I want to go to Fritz and Nicks because they have been away for a long period. But I hope Nicks still reckons Fritz is pregnant and she has a deep reason why she committed these things.
