"Besh, I have something to tell you!" When Ella went to our house the next day.
"Wait, how is Nicks? I am worried about her," she added.
"She is fine now! She is watching her favorite Cinderella movie. What are you going to say?" I am currently preparing breakfast in the kitchen?
"I have a boyfriend," she said with a shudder.
"What? Is Sir Nathan your boyfriend?" I smiled.
Ella nodded full of gladness on her face.
"Oh my! I am happy for you! I know Sir Nathan, he is a sensible man. So be delighted, Ella! I am glad that you both ended up together!" And we embraced.
"Nathan is an alert guy! While Sir Nikolai is slowing down." Ella said laughing.
"You guys like each other as a man and a woman! While I and Nikolai do not have anything beyond being workmates." I went back to what I was doing.
"Mama said a celebrity took Nicks to the hospital with you last night. I am certain that was Sir Nikolai." she even tasted what I cooked.
"Yes, he accompanied me last night. He is an ideal husband. The way he looks after Nicks, I guess that is what a father does to their children." I look back on what Nikolai did last night.
"He likes you! A man will not do that if he has no intention for you." Ella's advice.
Shortly, there was a knock.
"Are you expecting a visitor?" she asked.
"No!" I shrugged in response.
Ella went to the door.
"Could it be Nikolai? But that is impossible!" I mumbled.
"Why would it be impossible?" Ella begged.
"He does not belong here in my palace, this is too small. A modern-day prince like him deserves a bigger and prosperous palace!" I answered loudly.
"Hi! Good morning!" And suddenly I was bucked up because the man spoke.
"Ni-Nicks?" I abruptly murmured.
"Eve, the impossible became possible.
I am leaving. I will meet with my baby." Ella bid goodbye.
"Baby?" I pleaded.
"I am evacuating your palace, your prince is here." Ella's teasing.
And she left.
"Perfect, I have not had breakfast yet!" Nikolai said as if he is a resident of our house.
"Nicks?" He muttered.
"Uncle Nikolai!" Nicks suddenly appeared.
I watched them as they enjoyed each other's company.
They were fun to watch. I could not take my smiles off my lips.
This is perfect scenery!
"Are you fine?" Nikolai asked.
"Yes! I just sobbed a little and I am feeling good." Nicks answered with a smile.
"Wow! What a courageous girl. Here!" And Nikolai revealed something to Nicks.
"What is this?" Nicks was distracted by looking at what he was carrying.
"You told me that you love to read. I bought you some books. All about the Disney Princesses. And some toys.
Just remember, do not play outside. So you will not get hurt again." He pulled out another book to show to Nicks.
"Oh! Wow! I love these." I could see that Nicks became interested in what Nikolai brought her.
I prepared the table while they were still busy.
"I will help you." Nikolai unexpectedly approached me.
"What are you doing here? You will not come to your office?" I implored.
"I am the CEO, remember? You told me to eat home-prepared foods than ordering or eating in a fast-food chain.
There is no food in the house." He even looked at what I had served.
"Alright, we better eat while the food is still flavorful and hot," I said smiling.
We ate like a family. A whole family!
Nikolai got occupied with Nicks. His future wife would be so fortunate to him.
The following day at TvN8 Station...
"We have a raffle. All of us should join!" Reported by Ms. Beth.
"Really, Ms. Beth? What could be the prizes?" Lara begged.
"Win house and lot. So do not miss it. The lucky one will live in a brand new house." she retorted.
"Wow! Let us join the raffle!" I mumbled.
We immediately filled up our entry for the raffle draw.
"Did you join for the raffle?" Kisses unexpectedly asked.
"Why not? I am an employee of TvN8 Station." I answered back.
"I thought you were famous already. And you would risk for a raffle draw just to have a house. I heard you just renting somewhere." she grinned.
"That is a fact! It is not fake news. If you want to discuss it during our show, go ahead, do it!
And I am not ashamed of my status in life. I do not even brag about my popularity.
Are you happy now? You heard the truth from me and no need for doing rumors or blind item about it." I told her with a smile.
"Anyway, I know a certainty. Nikolai likes me and I will never change.
We are in the same state in life. Even if I do not pursue being an actress, I will still have a good life.
How about you? I pity you poor girl! You pay attention to him but he will just fiddle with you.
Remember that! You will never be deserving of Nikolai!" And abruptly she left.
As Oscar Wilde said, "it is a much cleverer thing to talk nonsense than to listen to it."
I will not listen to her proclamations. I would rely on Nikolai's actions towards me. I could feel his sincerity with me and Nicks.
There is no indication of Nikolai just fiddling with me.
"Did you join the raffle?" Nikolai asked as we took the elevator together.
"Yes, wish me good luck." My answer.
"Good luck!" He glanced at me.
When the elevator opened on the floor of Nikolai's office, he pulled my hand.
"I need to go up," I announced.
"Later! Come with me first." He was still holding my hand.
He let me into his office. I was shaken but I shuddered profusely.
"Let us eat ice cream." He said and he went to the pantry.
"Ice cream? What flavor is it?" I got excited.
"Pistachio!" Nikolai answered my question at the same time.
"Wow! How did you know that pistachio is my favorite?" I followed into the pantry.
Jinx! The pantry is too small. We are looking at each other face to face. Our body is too close to each other.
I was not able to move right away. The strange feeling again happened.
The goosebumps! It is all over my physique.
"I will be the one to prepare that!" And I took the canister of ice cream he was holding.
Then I brought it to the table. Moments like this, make my heart thump rapidly.
"Nicks exposed you to me! She told me that you love ice cream and pistachio is your favorite." Nikolai's declaration.
"Nicks and you have an alliance already!" I said smiling.
"I asked her if who she prefers to be with. Me or Luigi." Nikolai narrated.
"What was her answer?" I got curious.
"Of course her Uncle Nikolai!" And he chuckled.
"I do not know what to do with Nicks! By the way, can I ask you something?" I courageously asked.
"Go on!" He agreed.
"Is Kisses your girlfriend?" I finally was able to say it.
Be ready, Eve! Whatever his answer may be, accept it. I told myself.
