Chapter 45 Chapter 45 - Luna: The Childhood Friend

"Nicka, did your Daddy Nicks tell you anything?" When we were together by the pool.
"About what?" While she was grooming my hair.
It was Nicka's job to comb my hair and put a ponytail in it.
"About him, about you, about this family." I do not know how to ask her.
"Hhhhmmmm he just said that he is my Dad, you are my Mom. Grandpa and Grandma are my grannies." she is still busy with what she is doing.
"Do you like him as your Dad?" I begged.
"I super like him! I wish, he is my real Dad," she told suddenly.
Nicks and Nicka have a really deep relationship. Nicka wasn't like this to Luigi. Or let me say, it is a leap of blood.
I was feeling drowsy with what Nicka was doing to my head.
I closed my eyes and leaned my head on the chair so that my neck would not be moved.
Their Point-of-Views
"Mommy fell asleep!" murmured Nicka.
"She might get discomfort." Said, Nikolai.
"Daddy, help me put this pillow." Nicka reaches for the pillow.
Nikolai picked up the pillow. He slowly lifted Eve's head to place the pillow.
I was muddled because I felt some irritation.
"Oouucchhh!" I moaned.
I was surprised when I saw Nikolai's face after opening my eyes.
"Do not stay away, it will just hurt!" He smiled rebukingly.
I no longer struggled. I am also the one who will suffer.
Why is it that my neck is still sore and the brace cannot be removed yet? So that we can go home too.
We were already sitting at the dinner table and having dinner but Nikolai was still not there. Where is he?
"Guys, look who is with me!" He suddenly spoke and came.
My heart rejoiced. I cannot look away.
"Oh my! Is it Luna?" Mommy Vina's face lit up.
"Yes, Aunt, it is me!" The answer of the woman.
I can only hear her voice. That is okay! She is one of the boys. She was probably wearing a t-shirt and pants. With her cap. I smiled in my mind.
"Luna, is that you?" Daddy Ramon seemed shocked.
"Of course, this is Luna, Uncle," she said again.
"Come on! And let's have dinner." Mommy Vina invited her.
"Luna, meet Eve and Nicka, Nicks' kid." Introduction by Daddy Ramon.
Eventually, Luna sat in front of me. I was wiped out. I made a mistake. She is gorgeous. She is pretty. She is sexy.
She is wearing a red dress. Then her long hair was ponytailed. She is tall. She is like a ramp model.
"Hi, so you are Eve. The face of Love Hotline. It is nice to see you. I am looking forward to seeing you in person." Luna said smiling.
"It is nice meeting you too, Luna!" I tried to be nice.
"I have a Shoe Manufacturing Business and I am looking for a fresh endorser for it.
You are very popular especially on social media so I went to talk to Nicko. He is right, you are better in person. I need someone with lovely feet." she abruptly laughed.
Nicko? So she calls Nickolai differently. This is not what I expected Luna to look like.
It is unlikely that men won't like her. Nikolai was probably also surprised by how she looks now if she used to be one of the boys.
"Everything about Eve is pretty. Even her feet are impressive." Nikolai announced.
"Really? Case I need the endorsement two days from now. Looks like she cannot handle it yet." she stared at me.
"I am still not accepting a job right now. You are right, I cannot handle it yet." I forced a smile.
"I guess, I need to find another endorser, Nicko!" And she glanced at Nikolai sitting next to me.
"I can't force Eve. She is still struggling." Nikolai retorted.
"That is fine! So, I need to see you again tomorrow. You gotta help me find an endorser." And I saw Luna staring at Nikolai.
See you again tomorrow? Wow!
"Sure, sure!" Nikolai answered back.
I can't take my eyes off Luna. After dinner, they went to the pool.
I requested Nanny Myrna to assist me to go back to the room. I lost my appetite. And I wonder now what they are talking about.
Nikolai said he had already moved on with Genina. And given our current situation, he could turn his attention to Luna.
I am already lying down.
Ten o'clock and I am still up!
Eleven o'clock.
Why isn't Nikolai coming here yet? Will not join me here? Where will he sleep?
Or maybe he even delivered Luna home.
I hope I can just sleep so I will not overthink.
Finally, the door opened. I closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep.
I felt someone sit on the bed. This is Nikolai because I can smell him.

I want to see the reaction on his face. Is he still smiling and thinking about Luna?
The next day' Nikolai did not come home to their house.
On a successive day, I had to go back to the hospital.
Nikolai promised me that he will accompany me to the hospital. But he is not yet home. Instead of calling him, I just called Ella. She came with me. I did not see even his shadow. He forgot my checkup!
"I will remove your neck brace today! You will gradually be able to move normally." Dr. Peralta announced.
That is good news.
"Nicka and I are going home," I told Ella when we were in the car.
"Are you feeling good? Or not well because of Luna?" she asked.
"I don't care about the two of them." I simply said.
"That's why you are not in the mood. I saw them on TvN8 Station.
They are acting normal. There's nothing weird about them." Ella announced.
"In the next few days, they will like each other, that is better! For Nikolai not to take Nicka anymore. They just make their own family." I said without emotion.
"You said that!" she conceded.
Am I jealous? They have been friends since they were kids. They know each other very well. They have been together a lot.
So what? Luigi and I are the same but I only think of him as a friend.
"Mommy Vina, Daddy Ramon, Nicka and I are going home." I let them know.
"Why don't you just stay here a little longer? The house is big enough for all of us." Daddy Ramon suggested.
"You are not fully recovered yet. You still need assistance." Attached by Mommy Vina.
"I can do it. It is also difficult to have no one at home." my excuse.
"We will just visit you more often," I added.
"Who is just visiting?" The newcomer begged.
I can move my neck a bit now. I felt instant happiness in what I heard. I turned to him. And I was just disappointed because Luna was with him. But he forgot my check-up today.

"Daddy Ramon, Mommy Vina, you know me! There's nothing I can't do. I feel fine. I can go home. And take care of Nicka at the same time." I looked at the couple.
"We are worried about you." Mommy Vina mumbled.
"I will call you if there is a problem. I'll just arrange our things." I told her with a smile.
Then I went up to the bedroom. The scene of Luna holding Nikolai's arm kept coming back to my brain.
Why am I hurting? He forgot my check-up and then he went home with Luna. He probably forgets everything when they are together.
"I don't damn care!" I suddenly ejaculated.
"Why you do not damn care?" The voice that startled me.
I didn't look at him. It is still forbidden to be impulsive.
"Eve, I am sorry, I did not accompany you to your check-up. There was a problem with TvN8 so I couldn't leave." He explained.
"Okay!" My short answer.
"It is good that your neck brace has been removed." again he talked.
"Good? So we can get out of here?" I stopped what I was doing.
"What? I told you to stay. Why do you think I'm telling you to leave?" I felt him touch my arm.
I quickly took it back from him. I turned to Nikolai.
"I do not want to bother you and Luna," I mumbled disgustedly.
"Wait, are you jealous of Luna?" He asked with a smile.
"Do you want to know the truth?" I frowned.
"Of course!" He answered promptly.
"You better have a special woman with you. So you do not have to take Nicka." I was also surprised by what I said.
"What do you mean?" He was stunned.
"Let us settle this once and for all, Nikolai! You already know the truth. That you and Genina are Nicka's biological parents.
And I am her surrogate mother." I told him with courage.
It is now or never.
"I know that." He whispered.
I feel like my whole body is frozen. He already knew and he still hadn't told me. He didn't even ask. For what?
For him to abruptly take Nicka? He is very insensitive and selfish.
He brought us here for what? Gradually withdraw custody of Nicka?
