"Ella!" call that turned Ella away.
"Oh! Nikolai, is there a problem with your companion?" Ella implored.
"Nothing. Where is Eve?" Nikolai asked.
"Nikolai, you are courageous to look for Eve after what had gone on." disgusted Ella announced.
"I want to..." Nikolai could not continue what he was going to say.
Ella and Nikolai both stared at the approaching Eve. Eve held Nicka in her right hand while walking together.
"Wow! Eve, you are so gorgeous." Ella quickly moved toward me.
"Mommy, Aunt Ella is right, you are so beautiful." Nicka also complimented me.
While Nikolai was speechless while glaring at me. I chose a simple dress to wear tonight. I do not want to be noticed because it is not my birthday.
I am wearing a Bohemian beach dress (it has a thigh-length slit). It will keep me cozy and stylish all night long. It is flexible that could make me feel comfortable without appearing baggy. Brunswick green Bohemian dress snug enough to captivate attention without dressing too much. I paired it with Brunette T-strap sandals.
"Am I not wearing too much or too simple?" I implored Nicka and Ella.
"Of course not, it fits you perfectly. And I am sure your prince charming will be fascinated." Ella praised me again.
"Prince Charming? Who is your prince charming, Mommy?" Nicka inquired promptly.
"There it is, Nicka, he is already coming!" Ella pointed at the lobby's entrance.
"Wow! Uncle Paul is the Prince Charming! Not bad!" Nicka gagged.
I caught a glimpse of Nikolai who had also lost his attention to me and shifted to the oncoming Paul.
"Oh! Wow! Why is a goddess at here now?" Paul wondered when he could get close to us.
"From what you are saying, I am getting uncomfortable and anxious. I do not know how I am going to deal with your family, Paul. I mean, your clan!" I chuckled.
"You have to be faultlessly dressed up tonight because Paul will introduce you to his whole clan." Ella appeared to be wanting Nikolai to hear what she had said.
"There are too many of them, but for sure you have a back-up. Me, Phil, and Aunt Darcie." Paul cracked up!
"All right, go on and take care. Good luck to both of you!" Ella reminded us.
"Ella, you take care of Nicka in the meantime. Nicka, be good to Aunt Ella. Mommy might not be able to come back right away." and I looked at Nicka.
"Yes, Mommy! Just enjoy the night." Nicka answered cheerfully.
"Why are you still leaving Nicka with Ella. I am here." Nikolai could no longer hold back and he enunciate.
"Your girlfriend might be needing you who is always feeling bad," I said softly.
"Daddy, it is alright. Aunt Ella and I will wait for Mommy to come back," announced Nicka abruptly.
"See you later!" and I smooched Nicka.
"Enjoy your date!" Ella teased us once more.
"Shall we?" Paul pleaded with me.
I nodded and he supported me in going to his car.
Their Point-of-Views
"She said Paul is not her boyfriend. Why did she go with that man and then will be introduced to his family?" as Nikolai watched Paul's car move away.
"You dare to ask that query! You told Eve that Fritz was not your girlfriend but you got her pregnant!" Ella caught in her mouth.
"I am sorry! Just let my friend be happy with the man who loves her sincerely. I do not think that Paul will ever hurt Eve. That is why he will introduce her not only to his family but to the whole clan. They are having a family reunion tonight." Ella's justification.
"So Aunt Darcie and Phil knew it was going to happen?" Nikolai begged.
"Paul is Aunt Darcie's nephew. So Phil and Aunt Darcie will be present at the reunion. Eve is really beautiful. She can still accept endorsements." Ella abruptly told to Nikolai.
"Looks like she has no plans. She is extremely occupied with the Garden of Leto. Anyway, Ella, just in case Nathan follows here, will you not be mad at him?" Nikolai altered the subject.
"It depends if he is going here alone and he is not carrying a pregnant woman." meaningfully said, Ella.
"Alright, I will tell him. Nicka, do you want us to walk out there?" Nikolai turned to Nicka.
"Sure, Daddy!" Nicka's prompt reply.
Paul drove just a few minutes and we reached a wide yard. There are also many cars parked there. I could see the whole house. People were laughing and talking.
"I am unawares uneasy. It is like I do not want to go!" I stopped Paul from opening the car.
"If you do not want to go inside, I can take you back to the resort," Paul proposed.
Why is this man so tolerant? It seems that everything a woman can want is already in him. The woman Paul will love would be lucky. He just has not seen her yet and has not come yet.
"No, I will go with you! This could cope up with all the kindness you have offered me." and I forced a smile.
"Are you sure?" Paul raised a question.
I shook my head and smiled at him in response. Just in case Paul's family says something terrible about me, I am not Paul's girlfriend. I will just go with him so that his situation will shift during their family reunion.
"Wait, I have a present for your grandfather." and I picked up the paper bag I was carrying.
"Really? That is unexpected but for sure he will be glad." Paul's face lit up.
Paul and I walked side by side into his grandfather's ancestral house. I saw that Paul's relatives immediately fixed their eyes on us. I was looking for Aunt Darcie and Phil but I could not find them.
They talked and whispered to each other. I was even more anxious. There is no backing out. I am here and I will deal with them all.
"Oh my, Paul, is she Eve Lopez? "asked a woman who was probably eighteen years old.
"Who else? There is no one else. She is Eve of Love Hotline." confirmation of another.
"Cousins, meet Eve! Eve, my cousins." foreword of Paul.
"Hi, guys!" I greeted them.
"You are really lovely in person." acclaimed one of his cousins.
"Paul is so lucky for having Eve Lopez as his girlfriend." a cousin of Paul mumbled.
"She is..." Paul could not proceed with what he was about to say.
"What? Paul already has a girlfriend?" the newly arrived begged.
"Aunt Let, Eve Lopez is Paul's girlfriend." said another one.
"Wow! Darcie was right, Eve is prettier in person." Paul's Aunt Let took my arm to present me to her.
Paul and I finally got away from his troubled cousins ??because of seeing me. He took me to the living area of ??the ancestral house where his grandpa was.
"Good evening, Grandpa Romeo." Paul's greetings.
"Paul, grandson!" said Grandpa Romeo.
"I would like you to meet this gorgeous lady beside me, Eve! Eve, he is my grandpa, Romeo." Paul's introduction.
"You are right, she is a gorgeous lady." grandpa Romeo retorted.
Grandpa Romeo, Paul and, I started chattering. I also handed him my simple gift and he liked it.
"My grandson Paul just brought a woman to the family reunion only now so for sure you are someone special." Grandpa Romeo seems to be asking for clarification.
"We are just friends, Grandpa." Paul's brief answer.
"Does that mean, Paul has not confessed to you yet?" Grandpa Romeo glanced at me.
"Paul is just ashamed, to tell the truth. I am his girlfriend, Grandpa Romeo. And Paul is a real man. He is sweet, considerate, generous, and most of all, he loves me." I was also shocked by what I told him.
"If so, congratulations Paul! I hope your next news would be about the wedding and I will have a grandchild with you!" he cheered us happily.
What we could do was cracked up together. Eventually, Paul and I came out after having a conversation with Grandpa Romeo.
"I am sorry Paul if I told grandpa Romeo that I am your girlfriend. I do not want him to think the same way towards you. And at least your grandfather will be reassured that you are a straight man. Are you nuts at me? Because I told an untruth." I asked for forgiveness from Paul.
I was astonished at what Paul did next. He fondled me while whispering "thank you".
"You made me so delighted. Why should I be mad at you? You did a great favor for me. Thanks for doing that, Eve." Paul's cheerful response.
"Paul! You upset us. You introduced your girlfriend to your grandfather but not to me and your dad." The newcomer spoke.
"Mom! Eve is actually..." He was not able to continue.
"We will not be indignant if you introduce her to us today." Paul's dad asserted.
Paul could not do anything but introduce me to his parents as his girlfriend. And Paul's whole clan knew about our fake relationship. Because of the great joy of his parents, they spread the good news.
