Chapter 37 Chapter 37 - My New Found Parents

"Your house is so wonderful." I could not help but tell.
"Thank you..." as if she was asking for my name.
"Eve! My name is Eve. How about you, madam?" I inquired.
"My name is Divina. You can call me Mommy Vina, Eve," she said with a smile.
"Really? Will you let me call you Mommy?
Honestly, I do not have a mother anymore so I had no one to call Mama for a long time." Suddenly my heart jumped with joy.
"I can see that you are a kind child. Even if you do not know me, you still managed to help me.
So visit here when you have time. So that our house would be filled with joy and noise." she requested.
Mommy Vina seems to be looking for attention. I felt sorry for Mommy Vina. I am always wanting to have Mama back. Her children, on the other hand, appear to have forgotten her.
But I should not judge them. I do not know what happened to their family. There is no perfect family. We all have our struggles and difficulties.
As far as I know, I am glad to help her. She is very considerate even though she is wealthy.
She altered my understanding of rich people. She treated me as if she trusted me completely.
She let me into their house and she did not think badly of me.
On a successive day, I passed by Mommy Vina's house again. I would check on her.
"Come in, Eve. I am pleased that you stopped by my house again." she welcomed me warmly.
"Are you all right? I am thinking of you all night." I pleaded to her.
"Yes, I felt better.
Particularly when I saw your pretty face again." she answered with a smile.
"Will you have your check-up with the physician today? Let me assist you." I suggested.
"My son accompanied me last night. My blood pressure went up a bit so I keeled over yesterday." she clarified.
I rested a sigh of relief. It is good that her son attended to her.
"Would you like to come with me when I jog in the morning?" I begged.
"Sure, Eve, that is a good idea. I also need to go for a walk.
I would love that if I will not bother you!" And she sipped the milk from her cup.
"No worries, Mommy Vina. I also need to be fit.
I have a photoshoot for a magazine." I announced.
"Wow! I will buy that magazine once it is out in the market," she mumbled happily.
"Do not buy. I will just give you a copy." I let out.
I enjoyed talking to her. She is cool even if she is aged. She is very sophisticated. She could still elegantly groom herself.
"Hon!" A call that turned us on.
"Oh! Hon, you came in perfect timing! Even is here. The one I have been telling you about last night." Mommy Vina held his hand.
And the man is probably her husband.
"Hello, Sir! Good morning!" My sweet greetings to him.
"A beautiful face with a beautiful heart indeed. Thank you for helping my wife.
I am Ramon." He introduced himself.
"You can also call my husband, Daddy Ramon since you are calling me mom." Mommy Vina requested.
"Really? Can I do that?" My face lit up.
I felt instant gladness.
"Oh, of course! Ever since my wife met you, she has suddenly brightened up.
She said she felt like she had an instant child when she met you. She has been repeating your name over and over again." Daddy Ramon agreed.
"I will get this chance to have someone to be called Daddy. I grew up without a father.
So I would love to address someone 'Dad'." I could not remove the smile on my lips.
"It is my honor to be called Daddy by you, Eve!" He said delightedly.
There is a rainbow always after the rain. I always believe in that saying.
I could feel fondness for this couple. I found a mother and a father in a cinch.
I am inspired when I came back to work.
"Eve, did you accept Momshies Mag offer?" Nicks abruptly implored.
"Yes!" My only answer.
"I heard, you are going to wear summer attire." He mumbled softly.
"Yes for the cover. Is that forbidden here on TvN8 Station?" I glanced at him.
Every time I glimpse at his face, I feel like I want to give up. I want to nuzzle him and say I miss him so much.
"Didn't I tell you, do not wear swimsuits with many other audiences?" He pleaded to me.
"The magazine comes off to be for hot moms. Is it my fault that they think I am hot?" And I started at him.
"I do not want people particularly men to see you like that." He held my hand resting on the table.
"Were you acting that way with Genina? Probably not! You treated her like a queen.
Stop fooling around, Nikolai! One more thing, I have a new fetish right now. I met someone in the subdivision." I removed my hand from the table.
"Who?" His eyes were furious.
"Why should I tell you? Who are you in my life? I am just your employee and TvN8 Station is out of my personal life. So as the CEO, you are out of it." I lowered my gaze.
"What is his name? Why do you just trust new acquaintances?
What if they have a terrible plan for you. You are famous. He might be one of your stalkers.
Nicka will still be affected too." He preached.
"Even if you have known each other for a long time, trust is, however, difficult to bestow.
My point is, he makes me happy so I will not avoid him." I stood up.
I was about to flee when Nikolai abruptly deterred my arm.
"What have I done to you? Did I tell you something wrong?
Why are you doing this to me, Eve?" And he submitted me to him.
"You did nothing. You also said nothing. I am doing this just to protect myself from you!" I looked up at him.
"Protect yourself from me? Why?" He begged again.
"Just leave me alone, Nikolai! I will not allow any man to make me his rebound. That will never happen!" I glanced at him nattily.
Then I left him.
I am excited to complete my taping.
I have to attend to my new mom and my dad! It feels good!
It fascinates me to death! I will never forget my mom but I could feel her presence with Mommy Vina.
"I am cooking. Please taste it. But I will leave right away." I told Mommy Vina.
They have maids but I requested them that I will cook something for the couple.
"Have dinner with us, Eve." Said Daddy Ramon.
"It tastes savory. You should eat her." Mommy Vina announced.
"Someone is waiting for me at home." I refused.
"Wait, do you have a boyfriend already?" Mommy Vina begged.
"I do not have a boyfriend! Tomorrow, I have a surprise for you.
I have to get going! I smiled.
" What could be that surprise?" Daddy Ramon implored.
"If I tell you now, it would not be a surprise anymore." I giggled.
"We will wait for you tomorrow!" Mommy Vina let out.
And I left.
After the whirlwind connection, Mommy Vina and I walked together every day.
We never run out of stories. So I appreciated my mornings. I also bring them the food I cook.
I felt like I had a new parent. They both deal with me like their own child without reluctance.
"Why don't you have a boyfriend yet?" One day Mommy Vina asked me.
"There is a special man in my heart. I could feel that I already love him." I thought of Nikolai's handsome appearance.
I grinned!
"Oh! Isn't he wooing you?" she asked curiously.
"He is not courting me. I thought I was special to him also. But I found out that he still loves his deceased wife.
It weakens me because I have no opposition to the woman. After all, she is gone.
Do you believe in first love, Mommy Vina?" I stopped walking.
"Ramon is my first love. So I believe in first love. He is the only one that matters to my heart until this moment in my life." she also stopped.
"I met him once before and I never expected that we will meet again after some time.
We started dating and until we tie the knot. He is my first love. He is the only man I love." Mommy Vina added.
My heart was whipping faster.
"We almost have the same story. I met him in the past then we saw each other again.
And no man has ever made my heart thump like this when I am with him." I smiled after imagining Nikolai's handsome face.
"There is nothing wrong with us women saying how we feel. Especially if you are sensing that he likes you too!" Mommy Vina's advised.
"I heard him say that he still loves his late wife. And he cannot live without her." I let out softly.
"Where are you working, Eve?" She changed the subject.
"On TvN8 Station." My simple answer.
Mommy Vina nodded smiling. She looks like Mama.
I can tell her everything. And Mama would always give me any advice to ease my worries. Just like Mommy Vina, the pain has loosened up somehow.
