Chapter 73 Chapter 73 - Being With Nicka

I kept my promise to Nicka that we would go swimming.
"In the house, Dad always promised we would go swimming but he was too busy." Nicka's complaint.
"Nicka, try to understand Dad. He has a lot of work to finish. But for sure Dad is finding time to be with you." While I was holding his life jacket.
"Mommy, can I just be here with you? Tell Grandma and Grandpa that I will just be left here. We can however swim here every day." Nicka suggested.
"I would want to be with you, Nicka, but you will get away from your Daddy." and I fixed her hair.
"I do not want to go back to the mansion. Daddy does not like my presence either." Nicka fretted.
"Baby, wasn't Mommy busy before when I was still on TvN8 Station and appearing on television?
Daddy is the boss of those on TvN8 Station and when the day comes, you will be the one in charge because you are Daddy's only child." I still tried to persuade her.
"I doubt it!" said Nicka softly.
"What is it, Nicka?" because I did not hear what she told.
She just shook her head in response.
"I wish we could just be together again with Aunt Ella. I miss when you read me bedtime stories.
Then we watch movies together. I miss you so much, Mommy!" And Nicka fondled me.
"I do not want you to be nasty with your Daddy. Do not get mad with him.
For sure, he will make a way for you to be with him because he loves you so much. You are his little princess!" While she still nuzzled me.
"Daddy does not love me anymore!" and I felt Nicka crying.
"Stop crying, my dear! Daddy loves you so much, we both know that! Let us get ready.
Let us change our clothes because Uncle Phil and Mommy Darcie are coming." And I forced her to present herself to me.
"Uncle Phil, your bother?" she begged.
It is fun to be a child, you just have to tell them a good thing and they will smile.
Just cuddle them and the pain they feel is gone.
"Yes, they will come here later. Because they want to meet you." I announced smiling.
"Alright, let us go, Mommy!" Nicka's quick assent looking excited at what I said.
When we got dressed, we passed by Mommy Vina, Daddy Ramon, and Aunt Ellie's room to take them to the gazebo so we could have dinner.
"The amount of food!" Nicka noticed.
"Of course, you are special guests here at the Garden of Leto so we prepared a lot." Ella retorted.
"Phil, Mommy Darcie!" I called and waved when I saw them coming.
They moved toward us with a smile.
"Hi, good evening!" Mommy Darcie greeted as they approached the gazebo.
"Mommy Darcie, Phil, meet Nikolai's parents, Mommy Vina and Daddy Ramon." I introduced them to each other.
"It is nice meeting you!" said Mommy Darcie.
"It is indeed nice meeting you. Thank you for taking care of Eve while she is here." Mommy Vina mumbled.
"Of course, I do not consider her different anymore but she is like my own child." smiling Mommy Darcie asserted.
"Phil is young and handsome huh!" Daddy Ramon praised him.
"Thanks, Uncle Ramon. I inherited from my sister." Phil's teasing.
We laughed.
"Phil, Mommy, this is Aunt Ellie, Ella's mother." I let out next.
"Thank you also for looking after and accepting my daughter Ella here in your place," announced Aunt Ellie.
"She is a nice kid of yours so we did not have a problem with the two of them." Mommy Darcie giggled.
"And of course, Phil, Mom, I want you to meet the little princess out here!
Our beloved Nicka!" And I went behind Nicka.
"What a lovely little princess! Kiss uncle!" and Phil approached her.
"Hi, Uncle Phil and Grandma Darcie!" Nicka waved and bussed Phil on the cheek.
"Oh! Your cuteness is overloaded, Nicka! Come, let me give you a tight hug." Mommy Darcie moved toward Nicka as well.
They welcomed each other warmly. We started eating along with the story. I am so delighted that the long-lost family that I have, met the family of the man that I love.
"Where is Nikolai? He did not come with you?" Phil abruptly asked.
"He has a conference out of the country!" Daddy Ramon answered.
"It is a pity he was not able to be here. It has been a long time since we have been with him." declared openly Mommy Darcie.
They all know what Nikolai and I have been through. And Phil and Mommy Darcie also know that I have forgiven him.
Their Point-of-Views
"Where are the people here?" Fritz implored when she arrived at La Marcus Mansion.
"Nobody's home!" Nanny Myrna heard the question.
"You, call me Ma'am because sooner I will live here and be a part of this family." Fritz moaned.
"What do you need? Ma'am Vina, Sir Ramon, and Nicka will be back in a long time.
Eve, did not let me address her Ma'am. Even Genina who was also Sir Nikolai's late wife.
Eve and Genina are both tolerant women." Nanny Myrna said angrily.
"What do you mean? That I have a horrible manner? You are just a helper here so you should learn to respect Nikolai's future wife.
Where are they?" she told almost aloud.
"Do not expect too much because Sir Nikolai loves Eve very much. They are not here, they are on vacation because Nicka is under a lot of stress on you." And Nanny Myrna left Fritz and went back to the kitchen.
"Ahhh..." Fritz yelled.
"Hey! What is going on?" voice that made Fritz grin secretly.
"She is annoying, your maid! She has no respect for me." Fritz's objection.
"Nanny Myrna? Why?" Nikolai begged promptly.
"She does not want to call me Ma'am," she answered back.
"I thought she hit you, slam you or something. You are crying out over a nonsense issue.
Nanny Myrna and I have been here for a long time. And she is kind. She had good times with Genina particularly with Eve." deciphered Nikolai.
"I do not care about that Myna. Where is Nicka? I bought a toy for her." Fritz altered the subject.
"They are out for a vacation somewhere." Nikolai's prompt reply.
"Somewhere? You did not even bother to ask where they are going. Why didn't we come along?" her sequential questions.
"Isn't it obvious that they left without me because they also do not want you to come?
Fritz, let me remind you of my stand with this circumstance. I am here for the baby!" Zhac said calmly.
"I still wanted to bond with Nicka even though she pushed me last time." sadly told Fritz.
"Maybe it was just an accident. Anyway, why are you here?" he shrugged.
"I just wanted to beg Nicka to accept her sibling. You do not accept this baby!
Did you know that what happens around has a big effect on a baby because he can hear everything too?
And he knows you do not want him." Fritz stroked her belly.
"Will you please stop telling me that! I want that baby.
Stop stressing yourself out. That is what your obstetrician told you." Nikolai reminded.
In the Garden of Leto...
"Hit your Aunt Ellie with the ball, Nicka!" I instructed her.
"Hit me if you can!" the laughing Ella shouted.
The three of us were playing throwing the ball one afternoon.
We should hit Ella so she will be defeated. I could see that Nicka was enjoying it too much.
"Yeah!" she said and threw the ball.
"Aahhh!" Ella yelled when Nicka hit her with the ball.
"Gotcha, Aunt Ella!" Nicka shrieked.
"Wow! That was my favorite game when I was a kid." suddenly someone spoke.
We looked at him at the same time.
"Paul!" I mentioned his name.
"Who is this cute little girl?" Paul implored.
"Nicka, my daughter!" my introduction.
Nicka came over to me and held my hand.
"Yeah! You are so beautiful, Nicka!" acclaimed Paul.
"Who is he, Mommy?" Nicka raised a question.
"He is Uncle Paul. He is a friend of Mommy who helped me a lot in so many ways.
He is kind! He is a good man." I said to Nicka.
"That is nice to know that you are helping my mom." smiling Nicka announced.
"Can I join you?" Paul begged Nicka.
"If you are good, you can join." she permitted Paul.
"Let us beat your Mom and Aunt Ella," Paul suggested.
"Let us beat them!" Nicka conceded.
Nicka and Paul quickly got along. I saw in my daughter that she is looking for a father's attention.
What is happening to Nikolai? Why could he not find a way to give Nicka at least one day all week?
"I am so tired but I am glad that we won, Uncle Paul!" breathless Nicka mumbled.
"Your Uncle Paul is deceitful." Ella's objection.
"Aunt Ella is mad at me. I would better treat you to a delicious cheesecake." Paul's idea.
"Cheesecake? Wow! I love cheesecake!
Come on, I want to eat cheesecake." Nicka's face lit up.
I could do nothing but go with them to Taste of Antonio for a treat.
