Chapter 65 Chapter 65 - Living In The Province

"Ella, are you sure you are coming with me?" I interrogated Ella.
"Of course, I am sure, Eve. Let us change our lives together.
I bid goodbye to mama and papa and they allowed me because you are with me." Ella elucidated.
"How about Nathan?" I glanced at Ella.
"Our relationship is not doing good as well. He has had no time for me lately. I guess, I also need to stay away first so that he can think of my value.
Also, he was not able to introduce me to his family. Because perhaps I am just underprivileged and they are wealthy." finally, she opened up.
"You see, because of my problems you were also affected. You can not get ahead of your problems because of me." I sloped.
"Eve, do not say that. It is just a coincidence that we are going through almost the same circumstance in our relationship with the person we love." Ella's rebuke.
"But you still have to resign from TvN8 Station just to be with me. You lost your job because I also left the company." I said softly.
"I do not want to stay there without you. The only reason I was able to work was because of you.
Let us start again. And at least we are together. I do not want to leave you alone.
Even more so now that you are going through something intense, the loss of Gabriel." Her litany.
How can I thank Ella for always sympathizing with me? She never leaves me even when the situation in my life is joyous or unhappy.
That is why even though I want to give up my life, Ella makes me strong. Because she continues to believe in my capacity.
She continues to depend on me so I have to move on with my life.

And in the province, I will start anew with Ella.
"Are your things ready? I have our plane tickets." When I entered Ella's room.
"Yes, Eve, I am ready to go!" smiling Ella answered back.
We went out together to say goodbye to her family.
"Mama, Papa be careful here. Eve and I need to get away first." introduction by Ella.
"We can not separate you. Always call us and update what is going on with the two of you." Ella's father said.
"When the opportunity arises, you can visit. Please, visit us more often." Aunt Ellie's reminder.
"Mama, do not be naughty. It is better if you rest than if you do some work here at home." Ella announced.
Our goodbyes and reminders ended when the rent-a-car I had booked arrived.
On our way to the airport...
"This is it, Ella! You can not back out." I glanced at her.
"It is my first time on a plane so I am excited!" She giggled.
Even though I do not know what tomorrow Ella and I will face, it would be better to stay away and start the fresh phase of our lives.
"Eve! Eve!" I heard a series of calls.
"Phil!" I called him too.
"Is he your brother? You did not tell me that he is handsome." Ella marveled.
"Ella, Phil is young and you are broken-hearted!" I jested with her.
We cracked up together.
"Phil, meet my best friend, Ella!" my introduction.
"Hi, Ella! It is nice meeting you. I am Phil, Eve's brother." Phil acquaints himself.
"Hello, Phil!" Ella's greeting.
Then Phil helped us put our luggage in his car. I could see the excitement on my brother's face when he saw me again.
When we arrived at their house, Mommy Darcie had some food ready.
I instantly introduced Ella to her.
"It is good and I have a lot to spend time with here at home. This Phil is always busy with his work.
And to his girls!" Mommy Darcie announced.
"Phil, do not collect women!" I scolded him.
"Of course not, I am sticking to one. Then I do not have a girlfriend." Phil's prompt defense of himself.
"Eve, how are you?
I am sorry for the loss of Gabriel." Mommy Darcie changed the subject.
"I am going to change my life here, Mommy Darcie. I have to live for Gabriel." I could only answer her.
I do not plan to live forever in their house while Ella and I are here. I have accumulated something and I plan to use the lot that Papa bequeathed to me.
I do not even know yet what I should do on that land. While I do not yet know, I will unwind first so I can find myself.
"Life here in the province is fun, isn't it? It is dreary all night. It is nice to sleep.
I keep waking up at noon." Said Ella as we had breakfast.
"Yes, and the air is still fresh here. Life seems to be uneventful because we do not fulfill much." I shrugged.
"If you want us to do something, let us do some planting at your lot. Planting plants is trending now. It is also enjoyable." suggested Ella.
"That is a pleasant suggestion, Ella. I have a lot here that Dad provided me. We can plant there." I smiled at her bright idea.
"Eve Lopez will only turn dark when she does that," let out by Ella.
"I am no longer Eve Lopez since I left TvN8 Station. I am back to Everlee Legazpi." I clarified.
Ella and I had a normal life here in the province. We help with household chores.
I can not forget Gabriel but I am slowly recovering from his loss.
God had a reason why he took Gabriel with Nikolai and me. Whatever that reason is, I can not yet figure out but I know it is for the good of all.
"Ella, I just thought maybe we should open a cafe. So we can make some money." I suggested to her one night while we were in the garden.
"Yes, after all, there are not many establishments here yet. Even if the market here is small, we can market it on social media for people to visit the cafe.
One more, you are still famous, so when they find out you own the cafe, people will go there just to see you." Ella's declaration.
"I do not want to use my fame. I prefer not to inform the people that I own the cafe. I also do not want Nikolai to know." I reasoned out weakly.
"You have a point. But go ahead with that cafe. You have a place. You are just going to construct an establishment.
I will take care of the marketing. And I will make sure people do not find out you are the owner." She rationalized.
I can not sleep. I was suddenly excited at what Ella and I thought.
By that chance, she will also have an income. I knew she needed a job but she preferred to accompany me so I could cope up as soon as possible.
I will not stop until I could support again Ella with her expenses and income.
I discussed with Phil and Mommy Darcie my plans for the lot. I want them to know everything I will do in the land my dad bestowed me.
"You have all the rights to your lot, Eve! Whatever you want to do, Phil and I are just here to support you.
It is a good idea to do since there aren't many cafes here in our area. I have a nephew, the son of my brother.
He has a cafe business in the other town. You may want to talk to him so you can ask him questions as well." Mommy Darcie's offer.
"Yes, Eve, that cousin of mine is amazing. You will surely learn a lot from him.
I will call him so you can ask him for advice. He is still young and yet successful.
You are the same age if I am not mistaken. And he is still single." Phil mumbled smiling.
"Phil, I want a business, not a single guy." I chuckled.
"What if he can help you in business and he can help your heart furthermore," he added to his proclamation.
"I am also wondering why he is still single. He is a successful businessman and already at the right age." Mommy Darcie gaped.
"Probably, he has not yet met the woman of her dreams. But I am sure, he will meet her sooner!" and Phil winked at me.
I just smiled and did not speak anymore. I do not think I can love another man than Nikolai!
I do not mind opening my door to any chance of a love affair. I want to improve myself and find where I could fit in.
Not into someone's heart but my preference is to find my destiny. If I was not for showbiz perhaps I am for business.
I know Mama is proud of me too. With all the achievements that I had and will be having shortly.
I am not going to stop until I reach my dreams and aspirations. After all, I vowed to do my best for my late mother.
