Chapter 76 Chapter 76 - The Startling Meeting With Fritz

"My boyfriend will surely love this room. I can call him now so we could rest before we finally tour the whole place." smiling Fritz announced.
"Alright!" I also said with a smile.
She left the room ahead of me and I followed her. She went straight to the black SUV. And she opened its door. My eyes widened when Nicka abruptly got out of the SUV.
"Mommy!" she said in a whisper and even put her index finger in her mouth signaling me not to make noise.
"Why are you here? Who is with you?" when Nicka got close to me and hugged me.
Nicka pointed to the person exiting the SUV. My whole body felt like it was frosted in the extreme cold I am feeling right now.
"Nikolai!" I softly spoke his name.
"Will you remove my blindfold now?" Nikolai begged.
I could see Fritz holding Nikolai's hand. Does that mean Nikolai she is referring to as her boyfriend and will be the father of the baby in her womb? And does that mean, Nikolai did not look for me and come back because he already loves someone else? Fritz! I still remember very well what she told me earlier. She reminisced how much her boyfriend loves her and so she is to him.
"Oh! Nicka? Why are you here?" the newcomer Elld saw me holding Nicka's hand.
I was unable to look at Ella so she looked in the direction where my eyes were fixed.
"Nikolai?" she asked loudly.
Nikolai quickly removed the blindfold from his eye after hearing a familiar voice. And he was surprised to see me.
"Surprise, Daddy! This is Garden of Leto, mommy's resort." and Nicka welcomed him.
Fritz was still clasping Nikolai's hand and I seemed to be slowly sinking into the pain I was sensing.
"Eve!" and abruptly Nikolai let go of Fritz's hand.
It was too late for him to do that. I already comprehend the truth. What does he plan to do? To keep it from me as long as he can? It was clear to me that Fritz is pregnant and he is the father of that child.
"Welcome to Garden of Leto Events Place and Resort, Ma'am, Sir! I hope you enjoy your vacation here. This is a romantic place for couples like you!" I tried to be professional.
But the truth is that my knees are twitching and I want to stumble where I am standing right now. Why should we meet in this kind of circumstance? I was determined to return to him and rebuild our family but he did not wait for me.
"Nicka, come here. Do you know her? Why are you moving toward her?" and the tone of Fritz's speech changed.
"Yeah! She is my mom. Dad, why haven't you approached Mommy yet. This is my surprise to you." naively told Nicka.
"Wait, I can not get it!" and Fritz grabbed Nikolai's arm.
"Did you not ask me if..." Fritz did not let Nicka finish what she wanted to say.
"Let us rest in the room first. They have a nice room. So, you are said to be Nicka's surrogate mother. What a small world. I need to rest with my condition now. Let us go, Babe!" And she turned to Nikolai.
I closed my eyes and then I turned around before them while still wielding Nicka's hand.
"Let us go to mommy's room. Rest first, Nicka." I said to Nicka.
"Ella, you take care of the reception." I turned to her.
"Yeah!" Ella answered briefly and returned to the reception area.
When we entered the room I immediately leaned my back against the door. My chest was so full and heavy. It came off to explode in resentment.
"Is she the Fritz you mentioned to me before, Nicka? Who is she?" and I was finally able to inquire to Nicka.
"She is pregnant with my sibling," Nicka answered back.
"Why didn't you tell me when you and your grannies came here?" my weak question.
"Grandma requested me not to tell you anything. She said Daddy should tell you. So I agreed to Aunt Fritz's wishes when she said she would take me here with Daddy. So you can talk." Nicka announced at length.
"We have nothing to talk about anymore. It is all clear to me now." I almost cried when I said that.
"Mommy, are you mad at me?" and Nicka clasped my hand.
"Of course not! You are too young and you still do not understand what is going on. I am glad that you are back." and I forced a smile so she would not bother about me.
"Because Aunt Fritz said she would take me back to you. Mommy, I do not want to be there in the mansion. I prefer to be with you." and Nicka fondled me.
"Is she nice to you?" I pleaded.
"No! She is telling lies to Dad and Daddy still believes in her because she is pregnant. He told me not to stress out Aunt Fritz because she has been taken to the hospital because of me. She told dad that I pushed her but I did not." Nicka's realistic answer.
"Do not be afraid! Do not be sad! Mommy is here for you. I believe in you and I know you will not do such things." I stroked her cheek.
I thought that woman was an angel. It turns out that she is also a slave of evil. How does she manage to discredit Nicka to her father? I need to know her motive. And if Nikolai does not want Nicka anymore because he is going to have a new child, I will take back my custody of Nicka.
I do not know how I am taking off to act while Nikolai and his woman are here. But why should I be ashamed of them, this is my resort and I should be braver than that Fritz.
I gave in to Nicka when she got ready to go swimming. I do not usually wear a swimsuit here but I prefer to wear it now. For any reason, am I trying to compete with Fritz?
"What was that? Why is Nikolai here with a pregnant woman?" Ella asked as we met in the corridor.
"She is his girlfriend! And she is pregnant with Nikolai." I sneered.
"What? You turned down Paul for reconciling with Nikolai then...?" she shrugged.
"Ella, I do not want to talk about that Nikolai in the meantime. I would pretend I do not know him while he is here. Do not let him come near me." I requested Ella.
Then Nicka and I went straight to the pool. Nicka chose the pool that was near Nikolai's lanai. All right, Nicka, I do not have to be afraid of your father because I am not at fault for him.
Nicka went down to the pool first and just left me in the chaise lounges. I noticed Nikolai come out on the lanai. He waved at Nicka. He still has not changed. He is very handsome. And even though I hate him I must concede I miss him. He assassinated my heart again after the disappearance of Gabriel and did it again today.
"Come on, Mom! Let us swim." Nicka shouted.
I stood up and took off my cardigan to be with Nicka in the pool.
"Oh! Wow!" I heard someone speak.
"Uncle Paul!" Nicka called out to him.
"Paul!" I called him too.
"Hi, Nicka! Aunt Ella told me you have come back so I went here right away. And Eve, I am speechless!" Paul reached closer to me.
I caught a glimpse of Nikolai who I knew was watching us. And he saw Paul move toward me. If he managed to exchange me for another woman and get her pregnant why can't I just show that my life here in the province is also delighted?
"Nicka loves swimming so we decided to go here after she has rested." I smiled.
"I hope you told me so I could join you," said Paul.
"We could go swimming again tomorrow. Or let us visit the amusement park. And get another stuffed toy." Nicka said cheerfully.
I pretended to stumble so that I could stick to Paul's physique. Nikolai did not hear what we were talking about so for sure the indication of my approach to him would be clear that I had a relationship with the man who came.
"Sorry!" and I stared at Paul.
"It was a sweet accident!" Paul whispered.
He took my hand and supported me as I went down to the pool. I whispered to Nicka and she agreed to what I told her. We once sprinkled Paul with water and he got wet.
"I am wet already!" complained Paul.
"Then join us!" Nicka commanded him.
Paul could do nothing but take off his polo shirt and go down into the water with us. He is an ideal man for anybody out there. He has good looks and I only learned now that his physique has nicely built.
He played with Nicka and me. From time to time I glance at Nikolai who is watching us. Is he furious at me? He can not get nasty because he already loves someone else and he does not care about me anymore?
When we got tired we went up at once. Then Paul bid goodbye getting clothes in his car so he could change. I also told him to join me, Nicka and, Ella for dinner, after all, it was getting murky already.
