"Eve, I am sorry. I cannot take care of you. I am going to TvN8 Station and taking charge of your other schedule that will be postponed." Ella started.
We are already in the room that I have occupied here in the La Marcus' Mansion.
"I understand, Ella! I am the one who should be sorry for what happened to me.
I bothered all of you. I am trying to avoid this family but here I am with them. " while sitting on the davenport in the bedroom.
"Think about it, Sir Nikolai and you have feelings for each other and he is Nicka's real father.
He no longer has a wife. And his parents love you dearly. Isn't destiny just finding its way for the two of you?
He is your first love and you met each other. It is not a coincidence for that matter. It is fate!" Ella while arranging my things.
"After getting better, I will talk to him. Ella, abandoned the child. She is a human being, not a dog that you can just get rid of.

I remained seated when Nicks and Nicka came out.
I cannot sleep with the amount of trouble in my mind. I think about the job I left behind.

I think about Nikolai and me.
How can I confront Nikolai about what happened in the past?
I also have my flaws. I agreed with them paying me in exchange for my mother's surgery and my education.

The door opened again.
Nikolai came in already in sleepwear and took a shower.

"I will sleep here." His answer was simple and he approached the bed.

"Dr. Kenny instructed you to always have someone with you." And he dropped off the pillow next to me.
"Nanny Myrna can attend to me here. This is not part of your job, you are not a nurse." I grabbed my neck brace.
I could turn my head so I just stayed still.
"Nanny Myrna went home. You said, this bed is big enough.
I do not make a lot of movements when I sleep, do not worry." He explained with a smile.
"Do not sleep beside me. Get on the davenport instead." I was stunned at my command.
"All right! If you say so." He was quick to agree.
He went to davenport. He brought again his pillow. The davenport is too tiny for him.
How do I treat him like this in his own home?
Eve, have mercy on him. Nikolai was moving uneasily because he did not know how to lie down suitably.
He is lanky enough for that davenport.
"Sleep here!" I said almost in a murmur.
"Really?" Nikolai stood up quickly.
He took off back next to me.
"Why are you so naughty with me?" He remained sitting by my side.
"You know the reason!" I answered back.
"Whatever that reason might be, let us just talk about it when you are totally fine.
Let me take care of you while you are still recovering." I felt him put his hand on mine.
Shocks! Eve, do not let him hold your hand! Do not surrender in his charm.
I withdrew my hand.
"Aaawww..." and my neck stings.
Nikolai abruptly moved toward to check. He stood in front of me.
He knelt in front of me. He stroked my face.
"The more you resist me, the more you get hurt. So stop resisting me." He brought his face close to mine.
"Nikolai, I am warning you! You behave. You are to blame for everything." I lost consciousness at his stares.
"You are also to blame for that. And I can charge you too." He bit his lip.
"Get out of there!" I scolded him.
I would have pushed him but...
Why did I fondle something else? It is rigid and furious.
"Hhhhmmm is that your style?" He asked mischievously.
"Nikolai, please, get out of there." I closed my eyes.
"You can caress it if you want!" He is teasing again.
"I did not mean to touch that, whatever it is!" I tried to calm down.
"You can do it on purpose!" And he held my hand.
"Stop that!" I waved at him because it looked like he was planning to make a fool of me.
But why don't I think he is rude or abusive?
Why am I curious about what he can do?
The feeling is odd yet full of excitement.
And he bussed my hand that he was clenching.
I stared at Nikolai. He is still the man of my dreams.
He is still the man I wanna be with.

"Let us sleep and rest." He announced.
I did not speak. I lay down softly. He supports me.
I wanted to talk to him but a few minutes after I looked at him he seemed to have fallen asleep.
He is tired but he still has not stopped taking care of Nicka and me.
He is thinking of the matter but he still does not keep up because he knows my situation.
He is doing everything for our convenience even though he did not know everything at first.
I cupped his hand. I caressed it.
"Can we get through this? Together or separately?" I pleaded.
And I rested deeply.
I do not know what time sleep had visited me.
I was awakened. I glanced at the clock in the room.
It was eight o'clock in the morning. It is late. I noticed the heavy hand resting on my physique.
Nikolai nuzzled me. I just wish that everything will be fine soon.
I hope I just forgive him for what he did because he has a deep reason.
I wish he does not just take Nicka away from me.
And I caressed his hand that is around my waist.
I desire that we are just like this every morning.
They take better care of me here than when I was in the hospital. I feel comfortable in their house.
"Mommy, you take care of Nicka and Eve first," Nikolai said while we had breakfast.
"Are you going to work?" Mommy Vina inquired.
"Luna is coming today. She wants to discuss her project with me." Nikolai replied.
When we finished breakfast, Nikolai escorted me back to the room.
"I wish I could go outside so that I can watch over Nicka too," I told him when I was on the davenport again.
"She will be fine." He tapped me on the shoulder.
Then he left. Who is Luna? Why did I not feel good when he said that name?
I was talking on the phone with Lara, Sittie, and King when Mommy Vina came in. I ended my meeting with them.
"Who is Luna?" I could not help but ask.
"Oh Luna, she is Nikolai's childhood friend. Daddy Ramon and I are good friends of Luna's parents. Luna and Nicks are buddies.
Luna migrated to Argentina. And she is back." Mommy Vina narrated.
Buddies? Which means, friend.
"Is Luna beautiful?" I unexpectedly begged.
"I last saw her in person when Nicks and Nathan were only fifteen years old.
She is just a simple girl. Nicks and Nathan are both friends with her. She is one of the boys." she looked back.
One of the boys. I gasped a sigh of solace. There is nothing to worry about.
