Chapter Forty-five
Gwen
I feel so happy somehow. I take the paper bag and walk out of the room.
I can't believe he brought so many for me. And I will be following him to the match.
OMG! I'm so excited.
Also, we are both going out tomorrow. But why does it looks like a date to me?
I laugh and walk into my room. The door opens behind me and Lizzy walks in.
Her eyes widen the more as she beholds me, "What's that?"
"Ryder brought them for me," I sit on the bed and pour the content of the bag on the bed.
She gasps and picks a dress, "It's so beautiful."
I smile at her and pick a blouse to check the design. It is really beautiful.
I don't believe he chose all these fine dresses for me. I feel so special thinking about it.
He has even paid for my shop. I can't believe I will be starting something good with my life soon. If I start the business, I will really go beyond Heidi.
And I can finally go to school. Yes, and I have more than enough to sponsor myself.
I'm going to talk to Ryder about the school. If I'm free to start a shop, then I should be free to go to school.
Wow! I'm so happy about it! I can't stop smiling about it.
I should find nice clothes to wear. I must look very beautiful tomorrow.
"Wow, why are you blushing so hard?" Lizzy says.
I look away and she forces herself to look at me.
"What are you doing?" I say to her, unable to hide my face anymore.
"You are really blushing and I wonder why. Is it really for Ryder?"
I look at her, shocked, " What are you saying?"
How did she know? Wow, she's so intelligent.
"Hey! Tell me!" She whines.
I get up suddenly, "I will just leave this place for you."
" Hey, easy," she laughs and picks a blouse, " I like this. Can I take this?"
I smile at her and nod slowly.
She picks it up and starts towards the door, "You should come out for some snacks," she finishes and walks out.
I sit and heave out a sigh.
I need to pick a dress. Gosh, I will need Lizzy's help with that. But I don't want her to know I'm going out with Ryder.
But there's no way she wouldn't. I will still have to tell her tomorrow. I will just tell her now so she can help me with the outfit.
Gosh, I can't wait to go out with him tomorrow, I'm so excited about it.
Lizzy
I don't believe all this is happening. Well, it's not that I love Ryder. I mean I like him but I can never think of dating him.
I've always known that Mimi loved him. I'm just surprised he doesn't even know about it.
But then, I can't stop thinking about the recent chemistry between Ryder and Gwen.
Wasn't that why Mimi had to maltreat Gwen?
Gosh! I've always known everything that's happening in this house. I just pretend not to.
Even for Mrs. Johnson, I know how close she is with Ryder.
Why she stopped me from calling him by his first name but she's not against Gwen calling him the same thing.
I know he's aware of something. She knows something none of us know.
So, I decided to investigate. I got to find out that the relationship that Mimi and Ryder were into was just a contractual one. And funnily enough, Ryder was able to despise the fool, even trapping her in her country.
I love Gwen now like my family so I want the best for her.
So, I stalked Mrs. Johnson the day she arrived. I overheard them talking and that was when it struck me.
Ryder loves Gwen so much but he's unable to say it because of the age difference. I mean yes, that's an issue on its own. Gwen is just twenty-two while Ryder is thirty-five. He's way too old than she is.
But I can guarantee he loves her so very much. He will do anything to make her happy.
So, I decided to join the matchmaker crew on my own. I'm going to do whatever it takes to make sure Gwen accepts him.
I'm going to school soon. I decided to go and study outside the country but I have just changed my mind.
Gwen plans to go to school. She told me about it the day I forced her out to go and get some clothes. And well, I realize we will be in the same class.
I can just wait and find out the school she wants to go to, so I can go too.
