Found her
Chapter seven
Ryder POV
I drive out of the stadium and follow Heidi's car slowly.
Whenever the car takes a turn, I would do the same.
She drives for a while and pulls to a stop before a big restaurant. I pull up some miles away and watch her.
Gosh, I don't believe I'm doing this shit.
Well, I've promised to find that girl's whereabouts. I will go to the moon and fish her out. I don't care where she is.
Heidi gets down and walks inside the restaurant.
I don't think I will be able to get her this way. I glanced at my wristwatch and it's almost time for my stupid blind date.
I rummage through the locker for my phone. I take it out and dial Heidi's number.
She picks up immediately, "Hi Ryder," she sounds so happy. Who wouldn't be happy the mighty Ryder is calling?
I roll my eyes at her stupidity, "Where do you want us to meet?"
"Rose and shine."
What? I look over at the restaurant and it's Rose and Shine, " Oh, I see. I will be there soon," I didn't want to blow my cover or I would have asked her if she planned to stay over until I arrive.
Girls should take time while going on a date. A lady shouldn't wait for a guy, the guy should do.
"Alright, I will be there as well," she says and I hang up.
She will be there or she's there already? Perhaps she would go back home and change her attire.
I decide to wait for her to come out. Seconds became minutes. And minutes stretch into hours but she didn't come out.
I'm getting late now. So, I drive the car out of the street and straight home.
I take a quick bath. I look through my wardrobe and quickly settle on a formal me. Black tuxedo and black shoes.
Tuxedos fit me well, maybe it's because of my athlete structure. Well, I'm perfect in everything.
I pull out my drawer and take a silver wristwatch. I dab some perfume on some part of my body.
I take a deep look at myself in the mirror. Satisfied by my look, as usual, I walk out of my house and drive into the street.
I arrive at Rose and Shine. I get down and close my car door. I walk into the restaurant. The place seems crowded unlike before.
I used to come here during my leisure time. In fact, I love switching places between here and the brews.
The ladies look at me with awes while some start taking my pictures. I move to the attendant, I will need a Vip room. I don't think I can stand the stares and admiration from every corner. I wouldn't be able to concentrate.
Heidi walks out just when I opened my mouth to say something. She's wearing an orange shirt dress that fits so well and displays her shape. The gown is sleeveless and shows her cleavage.
She was in a different attire the other time. I wonder when she went home to change.
She's beautiful but I feel she's showing much and I hate that. I know I'm popular but I will like it if my girlfriend or my wife doesn't do something like this. Things that will keep her in the spotlight forever.
What if I have kids and my son sees his mother with dresses that expose things that should be left concealed?
Heidi walks to me. She went on her toes and peck me. I think that wasn't necessary but she did it intentionally.
Everyone grasp behind us and more camera snaps.
Heidi smiles and I knew exactly what she was aiming for. She would be on the news tomorrow.
The second girl that had kissed Ryder. Well, because the first girl was Belle. Belle is just that sweet girl that wants the whole of me and Heidi? I feel she's the worst.
"I've prepared a room," she says and pulls her hand into mine. Fucking bitch want to get into the spotlight through me.
I smile and walk alongside. I'm not ready to upset mom or myself. I still have to remember I need her to find the other girl.
We walk into a big room, with dining chairs and a table.
I let go of her hand the moment we walked in. I increase my space and get to the table. I pull out a seat and look up at Heidi.
She smiles and moves closer. I sit and look up at her again. She's frowning and walking to me slowly.
Did she think I pulled the chair out for her? She should keep on dreaming. I'm not even in the mood to do that.
Belle did more than she did to make me get interested in her but nothing worked. And she had to result in threatening me.
The waitress walks in and hand us the menu separately. I look through, "I want Menu A with a cocktail," I look up at Heidi and she's just done with making her order too.
"We had no agreement to walk in like that. This was supposed to be a blind date."
She looks away, " I just don't want it to be awkward," she says nervously.
I sigh, who told her it was awkward. It's for me to decide and not her.
The waitresses walk back in and place our orders on the table before us.
I decided to start my investigation.
"How did you know I will be at the stadium so early," the only reason there will be that she also came early a month ago. She could even have been near when I was talking to the other girl. She could have seen us.
Gosh, anything could have happened afterward. Thinking about the probability is giving me goosebumps.
She picks her food gently, "I just love coming to the stadium earlier," she looks up and smiles, "it was a coincidence meeting like that. I never expected it."
Really? I smile. She is a smart ass.
" That means you must have come earlier last month too?"
With the expression that flickers across her face, you will know I had hit the nail on the right spot.
She must think she's very smart. I will tell her I'm smarter and she can't outwit me.
"Yes!" She says and looks away.
Good. Now, we are going somewhere. Even with her replies, one would easily ascertain something is wrong somewhere.
"So, how many are you in your family?" I pick my questions carefully, " I'm only one and we are three. That's why my mom is always interested in my affair even though I'm all grown up," I laugh.
She looks up and smiles too, " it is always like that. We are six. And my sisters are always troublesome. Most times I wish they had come as boys."
I laugh at this too and this time around, she joins in.
" So, can I see your sisters?"
Something flashed across her face again," Yes! I mean, why not, " she says anxiously.
I smile within me. I have finally gotten hold of you. You won't escape this time. It's almost six and I'm sure her sisters will be at home for dinner.
I don't believe mom aided me in my little quest of finding the lady that makes my heart beat faster.
"Can we go to your house then, after we leave here? I should be able to see your mom too right? "
She chuckles, " No, you won't be able to see her because she's not yet back from the state. But you will be able to see my sisters.
The rest of the meal was done in silence. I didn't initiate a conversation and she didn't bother to do so likewise. It seems like she has a lot on her mind.
I paid for the expenses and even requested some hamburgers for Heidi's sisters.
She looks happy at what I did. Little bitch must think I'm in love with her at that moment. She didn't know my heart didn't even beat a second higher for her.
We rode in my car because I didn't want her out of my sight. She could call her sisters and tell them whatever. I don't want that, I only want to catch them unaware.
She left her car behind and I informed the manager to get someone to drop it off at her place.
You know, when there's money, there's nothing you won't be able to control.
We soon arrive at the huge building that serves as Brook's villa.
Their house is the finest I'm the estate and I must commend the architect behind the work.
We walk into the living room. Two ladies were watching the TV and laughing endlessly.
"Hey girls! Someone is here to see you," Heidi announces, gaining their attention.
The two whirls toward me and their eyes went wide with shock.
"OMG! It's Ryder!" One says unbelievably, " I'm Elsa," she says.
The second one rolls her eyes at Elsa, then she looks back at me, "I'm Dixie."
"Nice meeting you ladies," I say and wink at them. They giggle and continue to stare at me with lots of admiration.
I look around as if expecting the girl of that day to come out from wherever she is. When nothing of such happened, I look at Heidi, "Where's the last of you."
She raises confused brows, " What are you talking about? These are my sisters. I have none."
What! Is this girl kidding me? She told me they were six. Four sisters and two parents."
I instantly knew she must know who I am talking about. I was right when I said she must have seen me talk with her.
And because she's my crush. She might have done something bad to the poor girl.
I look over at the two ladies before me and something tells me Dixie knows something.
I walk nearer, trapping her in the corner, and with my height, she's unable to see Heidi and Elsa.
I won't give up. I must get the answer to my question today.
"Where's the last of your sister?"
"There are no sisters," Heidi says from behind.
"I don't like to be lied to. If I ever discover you lied to me, I will put you on social media," I warn sternly.
She shivers and looks up at me, " I'm sorry but yes, we have a sister. She's Gwen."
I smirk. I was right all along.
" Where's she?" My voice has gotten deeper and scarier. Even Heidi hasn't stayed silent behind me.
I know right, my stature can scare someone.
" Please, don't call me out on social media. I will tell you," she shivers the more and sobs quietly.
My fist clenches involuntarily at my side. If they had done something bad to Gwen, I won't take it easy with them.
