Chapter 10 Recruiting the Iverson Family

Simon felt a lump in his chest and stopped arguing with her. He let his assistant push the wheelchair away.
Seeing how eager she was to leave just now, Simon inexplicably wanted her to stay.
What's wrong with him?
"Mr. Iverson, you don't look too good. Why don't you take a break?" suggested the assistant.
Simon declined and asked, "How is the company doing lately? What's been happening?"
"Everything is stable. Besides our regular meetings today, we also have a few interviews..."
"I'll keep an eye on them and see who we can recruit this year," ordered Simon.
The assistant immediately connected to the interview site via video call.
Elisa only found out that she was interviewing for Iverson Inc after arriving at their office. Their company always recruited elites, so how did they even contact her?
After all, her resume had Hillary's information on it.
When Elisa was confused about this, the lady guiding her explained that they urgently needed someone to do odd jobs which was why they contacted her.
No wonder...
In addition to several leaders from The Iverson family sitting in the interview room was another laptop computer where Simon appeared on screen!
Simon scanned everyone else before fixing his gaze coldly upon Elisa.
Elisa knew that there was no chance of getting hired after being disliked by him like this; he probably wouldn't even give her an opportunity as an odd job worker!
Although the interviewer told her to wait for results before leaving, Elisa didn't hold any hope anymore when she returned home.
Unexpectedly though, she received news shortly afterward that she had passed the interview!
"How is this possible..." muttered Elisa softly when suddenly Simon's voice sounded behind her back,
"You still have some self-awareness left despite having such a lousy resume. Your sister Elisa's education is much better than yours even though you have the same father."
That was from one of the highest institutions in China, and it was impossible to get in without brains and perseverance.
Elisa gritted her teeth with anger. If she wasn't using Hillary's identity, would she still be humiliated by him like this?
"Since you don't think highly of my education, why did you hire me?" Elisa turned around fiercely.
Simon paused for a moment before explaining, "I hired you into The Iverson family because I want to ask about your sister. After all, I plan on marrying her in the future. There's no need to make things difficult for my little sister-in-law like yourself."
Elisa was still shocked and shaken by his words.
"Well then, I also want to know who exactly you plan on marrying. Is it that 'Elisa' woman from that day?"
Elisa looked up at Simon with eyes filled with emotions he couldn't understand.
When Simon suddenly said he wanted to find a woman named Elisa that day, she had already started doubting him.
She had never met him before but he inexplicably wanted to find her...
"What are you talking about? Isn't Elisa just the woman I sent flowers to that day?"
As if realizing something important, a hint of ruthlessness flashed through Simon's eyes as he pulled her towards himself and demanded,
"Hillary, have you been hiding something from me?"
