Chapter 5: Responsible for You

"Are you crazy? Why are you going to find her?" Elisa was completely panicked.
If Simon really went to the Brooks family, their identities could be exposed. If the Iverson family found out that the Brooks family had deceived them, they would surely take back their gifts. Margaret would be furious and her sister Emma would suffer. Emma suffered from a rare congenital disease and required expensive medical treatment every day.
"Miss Brooks, since you don't want to answer, forget it! As for why I'm looking for your sister, it has nothing to do with you." The phone was hung up unceremoniously. Listening to the busy tone on her phone, Elisa immediately contacted Hillary.
"Where are you now? Simon is near our house! He seems to know our identities!"
Hillary had been drinking until three in the morning at a bar last night and was still lying in bed now. When she heard Simon's name, she became even more irritable: "Is that cripple crazy? What is he doing here?"
Before she could finish complaining, there was a sound of parking downstairs. Hillary looked outside and saw an extraordinary man getting out of the passenger seat.
And that face was definitely the most handsome one Hillary had ever seen!
Didn't they say that Simon not only had a limp but also looked ugly?
This...is this really Simon?
Moreover, there seemed nothing unusual about his walking!
Hillary's heart rate increased slightly as she gave way to Elisa for such an attractive man!
At this time, the doorbell rang downstairs.
Simon stood nervously outside because he wasn't sure if Elisa was home or not; he didn't know if he might disturb anyone by coming suddenly like this after what happened last night...
The front door suddenly opened and Simon hesitated before speaking: "Are you...Elisa?"
Seeing such an extraordinary man, Hillary blushed even more shyly and nodded slightly, asking: "Are you, Simon?"
"Yeah, I am. This bracelet is yours?" Simon opened his hand to reveal the silver bracelet that had been left behind that night.
Hillary's face instantly darkened when she saw this; wasn't this Elisa's bracelet? Why was it in Simon's hands?
"You must have forgotten. Last Saturday night, you accidentally entered my room...and then dropped it." Simon explained to her.
Now Hillary understood completely; last Saturday night her mother had sent Elisa to deliver wine to a client but unexpectedly she had sex with Simon!
But now Elisa was taking over her identity so...she herself was the "Elisa" that Simon wanted to find!
"So the bracelet was with you all along! You made me search for it for so long~" Hillary took back the bracelet coquettishly and put it on her wrist. Her figure was almost identical to Elisa's and the bracelet fit perfectly on her wrist.
Simon's eyes fixated on the unfolding scene, a sense of certainty washing over him as he observed Elisa, or so he believed, adorned with the correct bracelet. His gaze softened, revealing a glimmer of tenderness.
"That night, when I lost control, I assure you, I will fulfill my obligations towards you," he stated with a hint of remorse. Later, upon discovering the bloodstains on the sheets, he realized he had taken away Elisa's virginity.
Hillary's astonishment was evident as she looked at him, her voice tinged with disbelief, "You... you truly intend to take responsibility for me?"
