Chapter 7 My Bracelet

Her shouting made Hillary and Margaret both gasp in shock.
Simon didn't hear what she said clearly, but he frowned at her tone on the phone earlier.
"Hillary! Why did you suddenly come back? Come in with me quickly."
Margaret reacted first and spoke louder to cover Elisa's previous shouting. She then pulled her into the room without any courtesy.
At that moment when she was taken away, Elisa saw Simon holding hands with Hillary. What was going on between them?
"Why did Simon come to find Hillary? No, wait, he came to find me..."
"Don't be delusional, Elisa! Do you think Simon came here for you? You are now part of their Iverson family. Does he need to come here looking for someone?" Margaret interrupted her speculation bluntly and grabbed her wrist while warning her: "Remember your identity now. You are Hillary. The person Simon is looking for is your sister Elisa, not you!"
Margaret couldn't let Elisa expose herself because the bracelet had "Elisa" written on it.
Elisa frowned instantly.
Thinking about how Simon and Hillary were holding hands just now showed that they knew each other well. If so, why did Margaret want her to marry him instead?
Was it a deliberate trick by Margaret?
Just then, Hillary walked in carrying a bouquet of bright red roses with an arrogant look as if nothing else mattered anymore.
She had won the favor of Iverson Inc.'s CEO - Simon!
"My bracelet!" Elisa immediately noticed something familiar on Hillary's wrist - something that belonged to herself originally.
The bracelet went missing a few days ago; she couldn't remember how or where exactly though...
But why should Hillary wear it?
Elisa reached out to take it back: "This is mine! Give it back!"
"From now on this bracelet belongs to me!" Hillary pushed her away forcefully and threatened through gritted teeth: "Elisa, if Simon finds out your true identity, I will immediately pull the oxygen tube from your sister!"
"Hillary! What else can you do besides threatening my sister? She's still so young. How could you be so cruel?" Elisa retorted.
Hillary sneered coldly with a sinister look like a venomous snake: "But she can threaten you! By the way, Simon will end things with you as soon as possible. If you're smart enough, leave his house now."
"Whether I leave or not is none of your business!" Elisa shouted back in frustration.
She didn't know what kind of scheme this mother-daughter duo had planned for her; they certainly wouldn't tell her either.
Margaret was angry at her resistance and wanted to hit her. But Elisa blocked it with her hand and ran away from the back door to avoid further confrontation.
...
Feeling wronged, Elisa went to the hospital where her little sister was staying. The five-year-old girl lay unconscious in bed due to congenital heart disease that required life support since last year. Because of Emma's young age, surgery couldn't be performed easily yet.
"Emma, big sis misses you... When can we talk together again?"
Elisa stood outside the room crying because she didn't want to disturb Emma who remained unresponsive despite all efforts made by doctors and nurses.
Before Emma underwent surgery, Elisa dared not resist that mother-daughter pair; thus she had no choice but to swallow all anger and grievances herself.
"Hillary, our relationship needs to end soon," suddenly came Simon's voice behind her.
